@Disaster: For UCSD, including all the registration costs and everything, for the fall 2012-2013 school year would be about $23k living with parents, $30k living on campus, and $28k living off campus. That's for people living in California. For those who aren't it costs about $52k to live on campus. State's tuition is $3,300 for a semester and since my dad works there I get 6 free units a semester. So then my cost goes down to like $2,500 a semester. I wouldn't have been able to afford it because despite me applying for a bunch of scholarships I didn't get a single one, I'm not planning on taking out student loans if I don't have to, and my parents filed for bankruptcy and it just barely got filed so they'd be unable to help me either. Just barely managed to get a job myself after over a year of applying and looking. T.T
@Disaster: Well the State of California is broke, the economy is bad, and the UC system is losing money. I actually had a teacher who went to UCSD and majored in Macroeconomics and Microeconomics and she only had to pay $67.50 for a semester. Yeah it was that far back. Anyway, given how I told you my financial situation you can see why I didn't go through the whole process.
@Disaster: Yep, would have gone into debt in just a few weeks. La Jolla is beautiful I'll admit, but I still prefer Chula Vista because my family is here and because I can get some real good Mexican food here. XD
@April: Hopefully Vista is not as bad as it has been in other parts. I have to drive up to State tomorrow to fill out some paperwork and unfortunately my car has black upholstery and the air conditioner broke 2 years ago.

@Disaster: Sorry to break your littler heart. (used to hate it, but since it is cheap and I'm poor I think you can do the math. XD)
Anyway there is a great mom and pop Mexican food restaurant here called Luzitas that has been in business for 9 years now and I'm one of there best customers...well when I have money that is. XD
Also, did your AC overheat?
