It all depends on how you interpret it... you have to see the show to understand what I mean...<.<
Well, I just ordered the entire show from Netflix, so I should be getting the first disc this week.

OT:
I rather liked that version of Lain best... I mean... between the two or three Lains I've actually seen so far.

Aye. Of course Sacman's continued presentation of the avatar during December helped things along the way.

Yep... Though it's more like there's several Lain's not just all different personalities in the same person... but the Lains that get the most screen time are Lain's split personalities...<.<

Well... I managed to work out the plots of most Ghost in the Shell episodes before they were over (you know... before they stuck the bullshitty explanation at the end of every bloody episode)... and Canterburry Tales wasn't that bad for me and it was almost written in another language for me... so... I might do all right.

Unless it starts pulling Silent Hill 2 style twists on me...

Yeah... it was a great game... I played it a few years ago, and I'm still trying to sort out all of its mind-fuckery... and its symbology. More recently... "The Path" really shoved me through a loop... several times. And it didn't have any spoken dialogue.

Don't worry Serial Experiments Lain doesn't wield it's symbolism like a bludgeon... in fact I don't think you have to understand any of it to make it through the plot...<.<

Well, neither did any of the games I mentioned.
With SH2, the symbolism just served to give a psychological subtext to almost everything that happened in the game.

With "The Path", the symbolism pretty much WAS the story... and it was a beautiful tale because of it.

That game scared me. Of course, then I was new to the horror genre. I breeze through horror games nowadays.

Well, you're here, in my bed... and I don't remember inviting you here.

So either you drugged me and stuck me in here with you, or you're crashing at my place because you pissed Best off.

I never piss people off. If I do, you know I apologize.

Plus, I was the one who told him to come back here.
