what exactly can I do as a Blue Lantern? Are they any better than the Indigo(compassionate) Lanterns?

They are one of the single most powerful Lantern Corps... when in the presence of a Green Lantern.
Blue Lanterns never have to recharge and will supercharge when in the presence of a Green Lantern.
Blue Lanterns can project constructs based on the psyche of the person they're used on that will soothe the target and bring out their inherent hope.
Blue Lanterns can heal themselves and others and have, at least once, turned a red star into a blue dwarf star.
They can only fly and shield themselves when not in the presence of a Green Lantern.
Blue Lanterns boast (or at least the Buddha Elephant) a very high maximum power, but it has yet to be shown what exactly that maximum power can do....

Not really. They're the least detailed upon so far.
They seem to be able to emulate other emotional spectrum users that they come into physical contact wit. Like, they touch a Green Lantern and can use green light for a short period of time.
They can also teleport, but it drains their energy quite severely.
Their energy is supposed to be very limited, as compassion is supposedly in less supply than hope and fear and whatnot.
