It may sound cliched and somewhat boring but the first thing I'd do is pay off my mortgage. I used to wonder why people often said that would be the first thing they'd do if they won the lottery but now...yeh that would be the first thing to go.
Then I'd probably move, just because I can and buy a nice new car. Once that was done, I'd put a good chunk of it into savings and use the remainder to try to win over the woman of my dreams.
Then, once everything goes tits up and I fail miserably at all my endeavours, I'd retire to my home and die cold, miserable and alone.
There's nothing like optimism, you know.
