You can bet your ass I'd fight(if the invaders were acting like Japanese circa WWII) I'd probably die but I'd fight all the same

Depends really. If France or Sweden invaded I'd welcome our new, civilised overlords. Yeah, it all depends on whether I prefer their politics or not - or whether I'd be the sort of person to be rounded up and sent to the death camps anyway - under that circumstances, resistance would be the only sensible course of action.
Only problem is, noone would loose a war againt us swedes =)

And if Sweden got invaded then ...... I can't think of an answer, Noone would want Sweden =P
+ I live very far up in the north, so I would probably be safe, unless they just want to kill everyone, then I'd probably get a sniper and hide somewhere "safe"

If there was an organized movement I think I might..

I think most Americans would fight back. I mean, we have no shortage of people with guns. I've read there is somewhere around 800,000 police in the US. Not to mention FBI, CIA, and other government types that in that bad of situation would be part of the fight. Gang bangers, "rednecks", it goes on and on. Even taking the armed forced out of the equation, there are still a lot of other things to deal with here. No to mention just how much land volume there is.

Basically I would just stay inside and wait for the enemy to freeze to death. Here in Finland temperatures is our greatest ally during the winter. Well not at the moment but you should not have come last winter.

I relish the thought that someone would invade the US.
Knock those damn overzealous 'patriots' down a peg.
But I'm thinking about joining the military anyway so sure, I guess I'd join in the defense of my countries borders.

Still a Marine, off active duty or no, and my oath to defend the constitution and this country's still good as far as I'm concerned.

You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.
-? (normally attributed to a Japanese Admiral circa WW2, but no one can prove Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto ever said it, the saying is still true however)

Theres a book series (and a bad movie) about Australia getting invaded by ummm asians I think. "Tomorrow when the war began"

Basically if they hit the capital cities then we could be taken over, though I dont think the country would be very easy to overrun with the harsh climiate and its sheer size, it would be easy to hide out in the bush, mabye even do a little gurella warfare like they do in the books
You have to remember that it wouldn't be hard to just napalm the areas outside of what they take over, since theres nothing worth preserving out in the barrens anyway.

I'm already contractually obligated to fight for my country, so I don't have a choice in the matter. That said, even if I wasn't, I still have more than a couple tricks up my sleeve.

I supose, we would be screwed anyway but I think if you really wanted to you could hide from it all, if you had the know-how to survive

When I read the title to this thread, that very same thing came to mind.

No. Because come 5 years after we're property of another countries rules and regulations history will repeat itself. And God knows I wanna be apart of reliving that history.

I believe that my state was already invaded once. I'm sure you all know what that attack was by looking at my location.

Depends. As an american, I think that the most likely scenario in which my country would be invaded with any possibility of success is if we happened to piss off most of the rest of the world, in which case I imagine the rest of the world would probably be the ones who have the real grievance. So I'd probably defect.

If it were the US you wouldn't be signing up for the military. You'll be getting your guns or borrowing a gun from your neighbors to fight. In the USA there is over 300 millions guns in operational status with over 100 million gun owners.

Canada have no means of resisting. Population is small and mostly unarmed. Military even smaller. Weather? Just take the capital and it's over.
