If your spouse (husband or wife), whom you love dearly, was a murderer, would you turn them into the Police?

And if you aren't married, just be hypothetical.

Best part is things said to your spouse are treated as privaleged and can't be used in court as with things said to a layer, doctor or priest.

No but I would use it to get anal.
You know blackmail didn't even enter my mind but now you mention it that's an amazing idea.

It depends on the level of loyalty there is between you and your spouse.
If we are both in love and loyal to each other I'd go on a killing spree with her.

Why do these ridiculous hypothetical situations never care about adding context?

-If my spouse had killed one person through an error of judgement and greatly regretted it, no I wouldn't turn them in.

-If my spouse had knifed fifty children to death, yes I would turn them in.

This but with middle ground, like if they killed 1 or 2 people on purpose I would try and reason with them. Or if they had very good reason to kill maybe 5 people I might not turn them in

But things you observe them doing are admissible in court.

OT: Yes, I would turn them in (However since I am not married I don't actually know what I would do, the chances are I probably wouldn't)

That depends, was it a one time deal or do they do it on a regular basis?
Because No for the former, and Yes for the latter.

Why take the chance? I'd just kill her, myself.

It shouldn't be too hard if I have the evidence to support self defense. Then again, the courts would ignore that and look at my being a man and her being a woman. No sir, men never face abuse... not at all.

I'm sure she'd return the favor.

Oh yeah, but the OP just says if you found out they were a murderer. If you witnessed it you'd be an accesory if you didn't but if they confessed all to you and you didn't turn them in you wouldn't be.

I certainly wouldn't be turning mine in, though to be honest it's more likely for her to discover this about me...

What they said, with something like murder context is kind of important, killing someone in self defence, and killing someone just for kicks are two very different things.

Man: "You think you can take it?"
Woman: "It's not for me"
Man: "...that's big"
