I tend to think us oldsters play the same games as anyone, but maybe not...

My current games:

Everything Half-Life - Currently redoing HL1 (Source version)
Portal - A Triumph.
Super Mario Galaxy - Almost done with it.
Endless Ocean - Had it for three days, might be getting bored finally.

Most looking forward to: Spore

I moved from PS2 to Wii (my first Nintendo product), and my only complaint is nothing to replace Gran Turismo. Of course, PS3 doesn't have anything to replace it yet, either.

I do like party games and casual games. I'm less excited about multiplayer games than I used to be, so I haven't started with TF2 even though it's sitting there on my Steam account.

I'm not sure we do. Of course, at 40, I'm probably the oldest living girl gamer who isn't a pocket protector wearing geek. I don't actually know anyone my age and gender who plays the games that I do. Well, not entirely true, since I do have a shockwave.com sub and lots of middle-aged housewives play those...but that is not the end all and be all of my gaming choices. I also subscribe to Gamefly so I'll post my list for that to start with:

Odin Sphere
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Fallout 3
Assassin's Creed
Growlanser: Heritage of War
Baroque
Tsugunai: Atonement

There is old and new stuff in that...

Games I recently finished:
Wild Arms 5 (I can't help but buy the next game in a series that I've beaten the others in...which would explain my strange need for Final Fantasy games. I will buy the next one even though the last one made me want to throw stuff)

Persona 3, which is a weird little rpg/simulation game. Grindingly repetitive and yet somehow addictive.

Right now I'm at the tail end of Romancing Saga. Don't ask me why, I'm a masochist or something. Only one character of 8 left to play through.

I also play on Gametap, for the sheer retro fun of it. It takes me back to the days when I was the only little girl in the arcade and no one could top my Moon Patrol score.

At any rate, I don't think I'm normal. Not that my boys complain. The fact that their mother owns all the consoles known to man save the Wii, and that one is coming, and buys games instead of...I don't know...scrapbooking or something boring like that, is a source of amazement to their friends.

Civilization, Medieval Total War II, Team Fortress II and any thing that I can play with my friends in a socially competitive/cooperative sort of way.

currently in rotation:

Portal - endlessly fun to me.
Mario Galaxy - see above.
Advance Wars: Day of Ruin - just starting, but I expect Picross-levels of addiction.
Contra 4 - Can get a little over halfway through hard w/o dying once now.
Desktop Tower Defense - Eats up way too much of my free (and not so free) time.
Geometry Wars: Galaxies (Wii/DS) - slowly climbing the leaderboards.
Guitar Hero 2 & 3 - Still wondering when I'm gonna get tired of it. Not soon, that's for sure.
Assassin's Creed - Well, I like it.
Ghost Squad - Wielding two Wii-motes at once is a total blast.

Then there's stuff like Pac-Man CE, and a whole bunch of other XBLA & Virtual Console games, actually, that get played pretty regularly.

Plus, Mass Effect is just waiting until I have the time required to truly enjoy it (at least a month off I fear).

Hello, I'm new here. Sorta stumbled upon the site haphazzardly and figured I'd sign up. I'm a handheld gamer mostly and this thread caught my eye. Couldn't agree more with the Tomb Raider series! Love it. I'm actually looking to fill up my Gamefly queue with good PSP games so any recommendations on that end are most welcome too although there are couple here that are in that format so I'm adding them in. I'm new to the whole gamefly.com thing but am particularly thrilled to be renting vs. buying these days as it grants me the opportunity to play so many games without having to commit to buying them. I just put Silent Hill on my queue yesterday. It seems to be a highly recommended title so I'm looking forward to it. Any other recommendations for us over 30 types for the PSP? I've got a niece and nephew to shock and awe with my mad gaming skills. HA!

37 here, Checking in.

Pretty much a PC gamer that sticks to games that require communication. My main efforts are with Battlefield 2:point of Existence - we have a large group at Tactical Gamer that are in the 30+ range

Also play Tabula Rasa and EVE.

On the 360, I play it with my son, we do Guitar Hero 2, Worms, MX vs. ATV, Bomberman, Viva Piniata, and some others..

Fun stuff!

I like 3rd person action adventure as well. Love the Tomb Raider series, Heavenly Sword (didn't care that it was short), the Silent Hill series and Fatal Frame for survival horror goodness. I lost interest in Resident Evil when it became a shooter, but enjoyed the series before 4. Ico and Shadow of the Colossus both have a high place in my list of all time favorites, with Okami.

Currently playing Assassin's Creed and Lego Star Wars until I see something new that appeals to me. My next purchase will most likely be the PS2 port of Silent Hill 0rigins.

Currently: Stranglehold, Portal, hope to start HL2 soon, Assassin's Creed is in the cue to play, Eternal Sonata, and I think that about covers it so far.

Not quite 30, but close. Currently/recently playing:

TES4: Oblivion
Rock Band (my wife and I play this nightly)
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Team Fortress 2
Day of Defeat: Source
Portal (finished it twice earlier this month)

I was on a huge MS Flight Sim X kick for a while, but I haven't touched it in a couple of months. I recently got a new 22" widescreen monitor, so I've been meaning to fire it up lately but I dread trying to get it running smoothly on the higher resolution screen - I went from 1024x768 to 1650x1050.
