as Henry Rollins claims that Iggy is the true King of Rock'n'Roll, you can go disagree with that angry young man if you want but i won't

Iggy honestly rules and is probly one of the coolest musicians out there
I'm gonna have to stop you right there. Elvis claims the title of King of Rock'n'Roll. Iggy has the slightly less sought after "Godfather of Punk," which sounds a hell of a lot cooler imo.
ok look at it this way, Iggy got REALLY high and strung out on drugs, he stayed thin and lived, Elvis on the other hand got fat and died

there is also the fact that Iggy has just so much animal magnetism about him and so much energy too
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to knock Iggy at all. He's an amazing performer, and despite his "limited" success, he influenced a huge number of a counter culture movement. He deserves his own title based his own merits and not that of somebody else.

Rock Band is air guitar.

That's all it really is.

When you listen to really good music, you Air Guitar.

All Rock Band does is put something in your hands while you Air Guitar.

It will never really replace the feeling of actually performing real music, and if a potential beethoven of rock wastes their talent playing Rock Band because it's easier, then we didn't need them.. There'll be a little Mozart around soon enough who'll blow that loser out of the water anyway.. and he'll play a real instrument.

all of that being said, I love Rock Band.

You can play guitar hero and all instead of learning a real instrument, that's fine. It's when people think that they're more talented than real guitarists that it irks me.
How many times has that happened?
Once is enough.

On topic, more power to Iggy for continuing to be a cool guy about it, and never taking himself too seriously. We're talking about a man who ranged from amazing music with David Bowie, to playing a TV dad on "Pete & Pete". Awesomely talented individual.

Before reading this I completely loathed Iggy from the few adverts I'd seen him in, but now I guess he's pretty mellow when there's no camera involved. Still not sure about this Lego Rock Band though, how did they come up with this?

Also to any Guitar Hero/Rock Band bashers, I started playing drums on Rock Band, it got me into the real thing and now I'm a Grade 4 equivalent drummer.
