Seeing as:

The primary criteria we considered when creating this list was simple:

How much did this game impact us personally, as well as the industry as a whole, when it came out?
I can see why older games place on the list.

System Shock 2 was a good game back in the day but it is literal trash today. Thank god they upgraded to Bioshock.
Upgrade?

you mean making level design incredibly linear and simple? removing RPG elements? having bad shooting mechanics?

Bioshock is poor mans System shock 2. even its twist is incredibly predictable.
Man, we clearly didn't play the same game. Go back and play SS2. You need to choose only one major skill, and maybe a minor or you will be destroyed (or your on easy). Goddam those levels are boring and is made worse because its a Metriodvania and makes you pointlessly go back over area, clearly because they realised they didn't have enough game. And waste your ammo, so that major skill better be hand to hand. SS2 doesn't even reach linear and simple. Its too simple for that.

And SS2 has better shooting mechanics than Bioshock? Go home B-Cell. Your drunk.

Tetris as always way too high up there, only because they feel like they have to.
While other games can be put on a linear scale of technical and sort of natural progression (like Overwatch being a synthesis of TF2 and LoL/Dota), Tetris is video game perfection. It's the first and last stop.

I don't think nintendo deserves so many in the top 10 of all time. There's a couple for sure, but not that many. No Baldur's Gate II, no Deus Ex, no PoP Sands of Time.

I was referring to you slagging off IGN with questioning if it still exists while being on the increasingly irrelevant escapist website.
Well the downward spiral of the Escapist is no business of mine. Besides, even if it does go under, the quality of discussion here will always far outstrip that of the IGN forums
