I think game stop hate me these days because when I buy 2nd hand PlayStation 2 games there I mix n match the case disc and manual so I get the best copy possible.. Like fuck am I gonna pay for a good case and fucked disc I want my moneys worth!

Like I Saw Resident Evil Code Veronica X... thought ah aint got that one and then remembered the incident with Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec (Great box... No manual and Scratched to hell Disc) so I whipped open the Code Veronica box low and behold Nice Condition Manual as the box was I look at the disc... looked like someone melted it slightly with a lighter.... so i opened the box of the only other copy and checked that disc (box had water damage and the manual was well shredded) and had a mint condition disc! so i was like right ill have that disc and put it in the good case!

Same goes for Zone of the Enders, same thing!

I could see in the corner of my eye the store guy watching me getting pissed off but fuck em im paying my cash i want every bit of my moneys worth!

do you guys do that too? not just with PS2 but with any Console or PC Games?

What is this case of which you speak? Digital Downloads is where its at!

Except once you're done with the game, you can't return it if you download it.

Eh..that applies to games in a box as well. I'm obviously not talking dirty console games here, but glorious pc games.

Ive done that several times before. I always try and do it secretly so the staff dont see me.

Also this one time I wanted to get Mercenaries 2 for PS2. I saw to copies 2nd hand. 1 was ?15 and the other was ?20. The only obvious difference was that the box and game for the ?15 one was damaged. but I didnt want to spend ?20 and didnt want a damaged game. so i switched the price tags vey sneakely and I got away with, mint game and good box

At my local Gamestop, the majoraty of the customers at little kids looking for cheap Wii games and the like. So when I come in and ask to see a NEW copy of a mature game, they all look at me funny. It's really annoying.

And aye all there 2nd hand PS2, Xbox, PSX, NGC games are all in there cases i suspect the 360, wii and PS3 ones are too

I think you have every right to do what you're doing because if you're paying for a game you deserve the best possible copy. Whenever I go to my local EB Games I always ask for sealed copies of new games behind the counter because I don't want anyone touching my disks.

i have a local gamers right next to a gamestop, so i have the choice to going to either or

they actually are both nice, my local store happens to be nicer and the kids are generally my age or a few oldie's who know their stuff, so they always try and get me the best one with the better case and possible custom stuff

i got the xbox 360 halo controller and the god of war controller both for hte same prie as a used normal controller and they had just come in brand new

so i tend to think i get treated pretty well

when i was in the uk i used to do alot of used game buying at CEX and Game Station and I knew em all there (we was on full on 1st name basis xD ) so I was always cut a good deal. the guys that work at that gamestop in town are cunts although I did spot a new guy working there maybe he aint a s.o.b. but time will tell.

Actually, not only did I get seriously into this process recently, but one clerk has specifically stated that we're allowed to switch packaging for free as long as we're trading with the used shelves. Now, in my PS2 collection, I'm down to missing the mannuals for Rayman 2: Revolution and Beyond Good & Evil. Speaking of which, we're actually allowed to just take used mannuals and leave. I've asked permission to do exactly that twice now (With A Bard's Tale and De Blob), and they let me have it both times.

Aye im going to do something similar in my next visit im in need of manuals for TimeSplitters 3, gun, gt3, and Bauldurs Gate DA 1

I May just go there nab the manuals and put em behind the manuals of the games im buying bring em home and put em in mine
