Not a promotion for anything, just want to get whatever like minded people together and make something. I would be the sound designer and composer, we just need a great idea, some talented people and off we go to the races.

Make an idea and I could probably make something stupid for you via construct 2.
So give me an idea fool!

Alright, here's a game idea:

Space flight simulator with multiplayer where you play as different classes of ship (fighter, frigate, engineer, etc.) with actual game flight controls, unlike Eve Online. Use physics devices such as harpoons, placeable jet engines, or simple ramming to send floating meteors down to destroy enemy bases on moons and planets. With enough resources, you should be able to knock planets into other planets, or simply push a planet out of orbit and into a sun, or perhaps turn that sun into a black hole.

Solar systems are randomly generated for each game and objectives can range from taking over a solar system, defending a homeworld, or simply destroying the solar system entirely. Have one player manage base systems and priorities as the sort of voted-in commander while the rest follow or ignore his orders. Weapon systems could be similar to TF2, such as missiles being homing-but-weak or direct-and-powerful.

Hahaha yeah I can't do that, off I go to procrastinate.
Single-player indie games maybe, multiplayer big dollar games, heck no.

I can assist with stuff as well in the vein of concepts, voice, and narrative. Maybe posters could propose a genre, character type, core mechanic, etc. that could start to put a focus on things.

Would be really cool to see if this goes anywhere :)

You know, I might have need for a sound guy for my missile command/cow defense game [http://thrikreen.com/unity/?viewunity=20130224.unity3d], but I'd need actual samples of work.

And there's little in the way of pay as this is a portfolio demo piece, not intended for a commercial, commissioned game.

Okay, how about a top-down vertical-scrolling shooter? Those used to be a staple of gaming, but are in terribly short supply these days.

the vertical scrolling shooter sounds like a good idea, we would have to make it balls hard to compete with ikaruga, but it could be something good. if you want to hear some samples of my work the details are in my profile.

A common sense RPG. When the ancient evil re-awakens, it should be easily killed with modern technology. If you come across a locked door, you should be able to kick it down. The kings not going to send some 15 year old to kill an evil knight. If there is going to be temples based of the 'elements', make it based off actual elements, like carbon and lithium(since when was water an element???? It's a molecule). If you come across an ancient weapon, it should be useless from rust and decay. If you need X number of wolf paws for a quest, you should be getting 4 paws per wolf killed. If you kill the emperor of the evil empire, the empire should continue due to succession laws put in place.
The RPG has some merits, basically a riff on DLC quest, but it would have to be incredibly short or incredibly basic graphically. Could work though.

This one I like, but we could add some elements like the ability to switch to a side-scrolling shooter perspective to add some gravity mechanics in there.

How about a game where you have a sort of industrial line of people, and you click on a body part to change its size between 3 sizes. The goal is to match the proportions to the persons liking in the few seconds you get with each one, where they will then be pushed out the door and will be accepted (for lack of a better term) or Laughed at by society.

This would be like a small mini-game you would find in a WarioWare or a Rhythm Heaven.

a Mexican Wrestler orderly, is laughing and dancing with the old people he is taking care of in a field .When suddenly they are kidnapped by some teen steriotypes as he comes back with their laxatives. What follows is a race aginst the clock in this side scrolling beatem up, before the old person explodes with poo.His name Senior SENILE protector of the elderly!.

Bosses would include a gang of twilight "vampires" Justin followers. and of course Beating Hipster yuppies, scene and all annoying tween-teenage types. His moves would be something like "The headlock of bad parenting" and the shoes of shame where he puts his feet into their mouths and uses them as crocs. The ending would be how i dk..the kids just wanted to be older? I imagen before the final boss you will have the Parents that spoiled them try and deny everything.

I was working on a storyline set on a floating Island of the coast of Russia called New Moscow. It was based heavily on the general and potential "fucked up-ness" of religion. The island was controlled by 12 people, or "prophets" called The Messiah's. There were three main characters. One who smuggled his way in with a friend, another I wasn't too sure about and someone who wakes up in a room on the edge of the island next to a dead body. The third character was going to be the one who basically digs into the Messiahs storyline and is the guy who is discovering a lot of the plot while the first was going to par-take in a rebellion near the end and was linked with a lot of gang work. I originally made it as a book but could work quite well in a FFVII type style.

It was set around now, maybe a little bit in the future. The island was only accessible by helicopter, and every civilian was registered with the main authority. The Messiah's stayed atop a tower in the center of the island, the city surrounding it. They have their own army of course, the authority on the island. And various other details....

How about a game where you play as William Dafoe trying to kill all the Pandas.

I'm a writer, so if you're making an RPG or something, I could help with the story, write misc. item descriptions, or edit things for grammar and such, but most video game designers do those things themselves (to varying degrees of success), so I'm probably not needed. xD

Judging by the spelling and grammar I've seen in some indie titles, I'd say you and anyone else who is willing to pitch free copy editing in is damn near essential!

an rpg could work, but it couldn't be a fantasy setting, nor cyberpunk, those settings have been done to death

Have you played Tyrian 2000? It's on GOG for free:

I've also heard good things about Jamestown.
