Hey all, I've finally started to bother with Steam. I'd like to use it for inexpensive titles that I don't mind not having a hard copy of. I'm a happy gamer and I'm willing to try any genre.

So, bearing in mind that by cheap I mean less than £10, have you got any good suggestions?

If you can be bothered, and have a computer that's up for it, I suggest you save up for a while, and by the Valve Complete Pack, which pretty much gives you every game by Valve.

I vote you get Plants vs. Zombies. Cheap and it'll keep you occupied for a good long time.

1) Buy Valve Complete Pack.
2) Install every game.
3) Play every game and meet people.

Audiosurf
Counter-strike: Source
Team Fortress 2
Depending on how many Source engine games you own, Garry's Mod.
Be sure to buy at least one Source engine game so a you can use some of the mods on Steam, I highly recommend Zombie master.

Just some of my favorites off of Steam. And I've actually reviewed Jade Empire and Indigo Prophecy in the User Reviews section.

You can get Prince of Persia: Sands of Time for under £10 I think. Definitely worth it.

Portal,
Braid,
Hexen + Heretic Collection,
Psychonauts,
Morrowind - GOTYE,
World of Goo.

Get some demos too. I love Steam for demos. Especially Trine.

Heeey, Abe's Oddysee + Abe's Exoddus = £3.05
