Im getting a PS3 Tuesday. what games?

Umm if you have the cash to get a PS3 and 3 games you have the cash to ether get a new 360 and more games or get the 360 fixed. Just saying. The PS3 is the most expensive current gen console. Also PS3 has a small only community compared to the 360 and PC.

Demons Souls
Killzone 3
MGS4
Disgea 3 + 4
Twisted Metal
Hyperdimension Neptunia
DCUO and FFXIV (when i eventually am going to get back into MMOS)
ICO Collection
Last guardian


Those are just a few exclusives that I am interested in, plus the games that are goign to be both on xbox and ps3.

and you know, blu ray + PSN stuff will probably be cool too.
And i only had CoD4, Lost Oddessey, Eternal sonata, MW2 and SC4. not really interested in playing any of those more or any of the up coming 360 games or kinect

My 360 broke last week, although I didn't play it much anyway.
So, I've decided on getting a ps3, which is happening tuesday.
My budget includes enough for 3 games,
So far I'm thinking
1. LBP2
2. Random game with decent online (Fighting game, FPS, whatever)
3. Good, relatively lengthy rpg to be my first to 100% on the ps3.

seem like a good list?
Now, what should I put in those two spots? or should I replace LBP2 with something else?

2. MAG or UNCHARTED 1-2 dont get killzone, its bad. also Black ops is badly optimized for ps3.
3. DEMON SOULS.

Infamous (this is a must play)
Assassin's Creed 2 and/or Brotherhood for your 100% game
This is just my opinion, these are games that I enjoy on the console

There are other games from the 360 and the PS3 is very limited but hey it's your choice. Just saying your paying for a lower quantity of online play, a hand full of exclusive titles and a blu ray player in a system that isn't backwards compatible.

I've heard both good and bad things about infamous, but i was considering that too :/

The game does have its flaws, namely the moral choice system but it is ridiculously fun to play. Some of the powers you get are just insane (my personal favourite is when you're evil you can blast a car towards a group of enemies, which will then explode )

I didn't play the 360 much when i had it.
I see lots of exclusives on the PS3 that I'm really interested in.
i don't see any exclusives on the 360 that i want (kinect, but eh, honestly not that interesting.)

Simple thing is I want a ps3.
I will take lack of a monthly fee over lots of people in terms of online play.
plus I'm more of a single player person except for fighters/fps's and some co-op stuff anyway.

Im not saying the 360 is bad, its just not for me.

Hey I wasn't starting a console war, just making a statement. I've been around the escapist long enough to know that flam wars = mob wrath. As I said if you want a PS3 go ahead. Nothing wrong with making a statement that's supported with fact.

demon's souls is one of my top 5 favorite games ever. most rewarding experience ive ever had in a game.

mgs4...unless you dont like metal gear solid or havent played the previous games. it was definitely made for fanboys

As many people have said get Demon Souls...it's awesome and very cheap right now.

I'd recommend the Ratchet and Clank games as well, they are fun action/adventure games and can be gotten for around $10 or so if you find a sale.

I'd suggest renting LBP first before getting 2...as it's hit or miss. Some people don't like it that much and you can get a good feel for the game in a rental period. If you really love it then you can buy it and you havn't wasted much.

Borederlands btw is an AWESOME game if you have not played it yet. I highly recommend it especially since playing online is free with a PS3. Another good one is Red Dead Redemption. It has the online multiplayer FPS like a Killzone etc but is also just a freaking awesome game.

If you don't mind buying used games there are some great deals at Amazon.com and if you live near a gamestop they have a sick special going on through tomorrow (sunday the 16th). You can get 40% off their current used game prices which means you can get games like God of War 3 for only $12. You might want to take advantage of the sales tomorrow even though your not getting your Ps3 till later.

The uncharted games (especailly 2) are great as well...with good multiplayer in addition to a very fun offline game. There are quite a few really good choices for the ps3 actually.

Orange Box. Orange Box is a must. If you haven't played Half Life 1, you'll still be okay. Watch a walkthrough or read a story synopsis to get yourself caught up. With the Orange Box you get both a lengthy first-person shooter RPG-esque game, with an incredible narrative. You get Portal, one of the most fun games, the darkest humor, and another fantastic narrative. And finally you get Team Fortress 2, a wildly fun Online-Only game- not first-person shooting like Call of Duty though, be warned.

Good choice with LBP 2, though I would still get LBP 1 so you can be legit.

You probably can't afford a Move right now, but it is very fun and you might want to think about one later. It barely has any games right now, but they are pretty good and the upcoming ones look promising. Also, don't give up on Demon's Souls. It seems really hard at first, but it doesn't take long to get over the initial "Fuck me, this is bullshit". It is quite possibly one of the best action RPG games I have ever played. Pick Royal, that will make it much better.

Look I didn't say "don't get a PS3." I was just saying a 360 is cheaper in a long run and you have more gamers to play with. Here's a fact for you, I don't have a 360 or a PS3m I'm a PC gamer, but I've looked into the Wii, PS3 and 360, the PS3 hardware wise is the best yes I know and will admit to that. Nothing wrong with trying to point out ways to save money. I said in my own words, if you want it get it and I meant it. If I have a bias for anything it's the PC.
