Enjoy your vacation. You can play games when you get back. Go to the beach, restaurants, places of interest etc.
I'm not going to be on vacation 24/7, there is going going to be down time. By the way, vacation to me constitutes doing what I enjoy, when I want to do it.
Being Australian, i agree with everything your doing Ifeilding. I recommond grabbing Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 and its expansions. Playing through those should get you through it.

How long are you going there? Also, where are you from? For me, it's snowing now. If I went to Australia, I would enjoy it. Maybe I'd bring my psp and my iphone but that's about it. You're seriously gonna be doing some gaming on it, enough that you can't even decide what to bring?

if you have any old Console RPG,s (like FFIII Chrono Trigger etc.) both NES or SNES you can legally emulate them (although if you want to that make sure you own a legall physical copy) as for shooters HL1 and HL2 are pretty damn good

Why the hell would you need to ask us what games you should bring on vacation? Why don't you just bring and play whatever games you feel like playing? Jesus, it's hardly rocket science!

Do games from other countries even work in Australia? I know my relatives from Canada gave me a hockey game and the electricity and disc had different requirements, and when I went to Canada I needed an adaptor for everything, but your from New Zealand so it probably doesn't matter (plus you've probably been here before.0
Australia and New Zealand are like Canada and America, so we share the same electricity plugs and appilance ratings

Bring a game that Yahtzee hated and ask him to sign it?

Then go to the Mana Bar

Then play with the spiders.

No need for games when you can play with the wildlife. Remember there it is slappers only, one hit kill.

Get VTM:B (Vampire the Masqurade Bloodlines) or Deus Ex.

I am pretty obsessed with games, but this is a whole new level. There is no POINT in going on holiday if you want to play games. This is why I don't go on holidays anymore, because I have other interests. But if you are to go on holiday, at least make an effort to make the most of it.

If you have loads and loads of time there, you could get Final Fantasy XIII. You might have enough time to actually get past the tutorial.

I still say it's worth the time.

Australia=tourist heaven. Its warm and has very beautiful girls....yum yum. I hope to visit someday.
Just don't let the beautiful women distract you too much. Otherwise you might fall victim to one of the hundreds of species that can and will kill you if you mess with them. :p
