Hello, your friendly Sister of Battle here, this time with a bit of a touchy subject. I've asked about just about every aspect of a person and what my fellows find attractive, save one. So today I risk insult, flaming and possible warning to ask: What is your prefered skin tone, in both yourself and your potential lover?

Now I am not trying to ignite racial bigotry or start discussions about which race is the hottest, simply if my fellow Escapees prefer one SKIN TONE over the other. And no, I won't be making a poll, there are far to many tones to accurately gauge ones preference. So I simply as y'all to give a specific example/picture/link to picture/discription/ect. and an explanation as to why.

I will take a rather dangerous leap and state my preference. I prefer white men and women. And no not "average Caucasian" no, I mean white, Gothic white, never seen the freakin' sun white, Christina Hendrecks looks tanned white. I'm not sure why, to me it is an unconscious symbol of purity(blame Snow White and Medieval Europe) and depth. It also really goes excellent with red hair, dark hair and green eyes.

I've had this exact discussion with many people, and I couldn't consider it racist. This type of sexual preference is something we can't deny exists. For example, I can't find myself attracted to black women, or asian women. Am I a racist? Of course not, but it's the same as preferring brunette hair over a blonde hair (I do prefer brunette, btw).

Well, I don't know, but from my expieriance I think you're automatically attracted to the skin tone you are. I however, am attracted to all of them.

See, thats how I see it, but evidently some people find it a touchy subject.

I think its kind of odd that black women really like me. Have really pale white skin and a bald head. I went to the bars one time and I had a really attractive black girl come up to me and ask me if I wanted to dance. I said no and went back to order another drink. I remember her following me around and asking me a bunch of questions. I told her if I could go back to her place and she said yes. Had a wild night to say the least.
Wait, hairless with Agent.47 as your avatar, you must be David Bateson. =D

That isn't exactly racism.

An example of racism would be if you were to make a statement along the lines of (hypothetical example here so I insist that this is not intended to offend anyone and does not reflect my views or opinions) 'I can't stand all those [insert ethnic group here] people and think they're all hideous, I mean just look at them! They're all ugly!'.

Saying that you personally find a particular shade or tone more attractive isn't racism so there's no need to worry or make qualifying statements.

I wouldn't say aesthetic preferences is racist. You're not advocating the objective superiority of one race over another.

Personally I prefer very bright or very dark tones, with the "fried chicken" skin colour being my least favorite.

I prefer white girls, I don't consider it racist.

I love girls with really long dark hair, that's hardly racist against girls with short, blonde hair!

And it is a touchy subject, but some people just aren't seeing it the right way. Sure, one might be attracted to a specific race, but that's generally just the stuff one looks at while on the internet. However, if that same person were to find someone they truly love, someone who compliments them perfectly and visa versa, I'd guarantee all that stuff I said earlier would stop mattering altogether.

That isn't racist. People throw that term around without knowing what it means and it loses its potency.

I myself prefer white girls and to a much lesser extent, Hispanic girls. I am not attracted to Black or Asian women. That is not to say I simply dislike them for being Black or Asian (which would be racist) just that I don't find them attractive (which is not racist). I'm half breed White-Hispanic so I imagine that is why I like those "colors" as opposed to Black women or Asian women.

If people want to get all uppity and technical, from an argument standpoint, it's no different than Gay people liking the same sex.

It's not racist, it has nothing to do with the character of the person in question. In fact... there is no person in question, it's a question about colours just the same as hair colours or eye colours.

Furthermore, I agree with the white sentiment to a point. I fucking hate tans, and I like pale women. I also like extremely dark skinned women some times, and I mean the polar opposite of pale here. Like really black. I just like contrast in things really.
