Wow, that's not at all racist we're talking about skin tone here people! I don't know about you guys but there is a lot more physical difference between races than just skin tone, skin tone is a physical feature, something that you may or may not find attractive about somebody irrespective of racial prejudice, just like somebody may have a thing for big or small noses. To call this discussion racist is like calling somebody who finds natural red heads attractive racist because red hair is only natural in, you guessed it, Caucasians. I find it racist that we can't discuss our sexual preference for a single physical characteristic without the issue of race becoming an issue, as if skin tone is the single dividing characteristic for all races.

We're all people and we come in all colours of the rainbow or at the very least ghostly white to dark as night black and in a modern forward thinking world we should be free to discuss our preference for skin tone without race even registering on the radar just like we would if discussing preference for hairstyles, hair colour, body build, facial structure, all of which BELIEVE IT OR NOT are actually as greatly affected by race if not more than skin tone.

In other words I personally feel that using skin tone as a characteristic for segregating people into racial groups is significantly more racist than having a preference for skin tone regardless of race, because guess what? Pale white Asian? BAM, suddenly hair colour is more racist than skin tone because red hair ONLY occurs in caucasians. But at the end of the day none of this is racist because we are not discussing a preference for races we are discussing preference for physical features, regardless of race.

That isn't even slightly racist, if anyone calls you racist for that then they should look up "racism" in the dictionary.

Don't know if anyone's posted it yet, but I feel this to be very relevant:

OT: I really don't think factor skin colour into it, I don't find particular shades attractive I find people attractive. I've looked at certain people of all complexions and thought: 'Hell yes I would!' Unless they're sporting that god awful fake tan all over themselves to the point where their skin resembles a rotting orange, then I really don't care what colour you are.

But I mean that Britain didn't invent racism and export it to the world, there was already racial and class discrimination there. Britain wasn't much more racist than many of the places it colonised, it was just in the position to be racist effectively.
I don't mean to say that the Brits invented racism, far from it, as it permeates almost every major religion since biblical times.

Unfortunately, being more efficient at implementation and scale doesn't absolve them from doing it. One thing they scaled up was murder Millions dying from being denied food and "subduing" uppity rebels(Imp. Britain) and millions dying from being gassed and flat-out executions/massacres(nazi Germany, some score later lauding their further perversions of Darwinism and Eugenics) are two different methods, yes. Thing is, in either case, Millions are dead and someone caused it. Imperialist Britain wasn't the first to the racism/murder party, but they sure did their damnedest to be the best.

Edit: I just wanted to point out, this one doesn't fall under Godwin's Law, it was just the most relevant parallel. Just sayin' for any lurkers ;)

Hah! I just imagined a bunch of little Navy seals hiding in her hair. Maybe with Keith David narrating how awesome the Navy is and telling you to join them. XD

Haha, made my night! I think both C.K. and O'Neal make good points. I think these are the two biggest.

C.K.: Most people make their preferences off their childhood fantasies.

O'Neal: If you can't get past looks, even though you are horny as shit, there is something fundamentally wrong with you.

White people suck lol. I like how you edited the quote out lol. What I mean by what I said was...well what it said. By take care of yourself i mean go for a walk daily. Don't eat only fast food and fatty foods. Care for yourself. Buddhist Proverb time, You can search the entire universe looking for someone more deserving of your love then you are and you will not find them.

So yeah...love yourself is what i'm saying.
Meh I didn't really want an argument. It just gets a little annoying how some men (not saying you) are so shallow these days when everyone ends up old and wrinkled anyway. People should look for someone they will be happy with not who looks perfect. I'm not saying being attracted to someone isn't important but it shouldn't be the be all and end all. I'm sure people in this thread don't just go for people with their preferred skin tone for example.

Yes you are racist, everyone knows when someone begins a comment with ' no offense but...' or 'Im not racist but' etc. theyre about to expose their racist conscious, which apparantly many on this page posess. " Im not racist but, most black women have bad skin" ; " Im not racist but they always got a chip on their shoulder" ; "no offense but most black people stink"; " no offence but white skin is pure " Im not racist but after white its yellow, black goes to the bottom of my list." I understand sexual preferences in regards to appearance, but its obviously formed from media. For most boys first sexual experience is with a nudie mag. full of white women showing their goods, may have other races sprinkled in but the fact that its majority white chics programs one to believe they are the epitome of beauty. Same thing with television, movies, etc. when there is any woman of colour she must be light or mixed. Its not true that media gives what people want, media gives people what they want them to have.

Oooor the person doesn't want to offend or knows that unless they state otherwise that will be the first thing commented on. Looking at the thread now people assume it would go the same if I had left that part out, but thats simply not true. I understand my statement can sound racist and I'm letting people know that it's a personal aesthetic opinion and not an overall judgement of any racial group. If I say extremely pale skin, due to my life experience, knowledge of the genetic difficulty of achieving it and the fact that I was raised on the book Snow White, is something I associate with purity, then that's simply personal opinion. Same as everyone else. The majority of these "racist issues" you keep bringing up are personal opinion about the area the person lives in, AND THEY STATE THAT. If you only came here to insult people then you are not contributing to the discussion and are just trying to cause a flame war. In the words of Willy Wonka, "Good day, sir!"
