I have a massive list of games I have yet to complete in my library. I've played all of them, anywhere from 1-20 hours, but have yet to complete a single one

As the title suggests, I'm indecisive. Help me determine what game to complete the single player campaign!

Here is a convenient image that has all the games I have in my list. It is relatively large, so be careful those with low bandwidth.

Here's the google spreadsheet for slightly easier viewing. It contains the same list, but not color coordinated/tagged.

Arcanum is awesome, Dragon Knight Saga is very fun especially as a dragon and the dialogue is amusing, Alice: Madness Returns is pretty great, not to mention Vampires...

Why exactly do you never finish them? There are a lot of good games there.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

Play through it, now. You will regret it, but it's good at what it does.

EDIT: Also, the Trine games are brilliant.

Hmm, let's see here. As I recall, And Yet It Moves goes pretty quick. So do that one first, then Beyond Good and Evil. Then Batman: Arkham Asylum, because Batman.

Coming from someone who also has the same back log issue, but with a much smaller list. I would suggest you just do a blind pick and go with it. If you get tired of one switch, again using a blind pick. Give each game a "Death of a thousand cuts." Looking through that list I would also be indecisive with that list. And remove things like Team Fortress 2 and Super Monday Night Combat. Since those are MP only you cant actually beat them.

I have the same problem. I have so many games so I think damn I'll never not have anything to play! But, then it becomes a problem because I have so much to choose from I simply can't decide. The time I waste just sitting around trying to decide I could be making major progress in some games.

There is quite a lot of gems on that list though. Xenoblade Chronicles would be my recommendation. The game was simply amazing and I even think it is the best Wii exclusive I've ever played trumping even Zelda and Mario games.

Might I recommend picking a game or two and beating them before even touching the others? I'm amazed anyone would have the ability to play 1+ hours on all those games whilst only beating a handful. I'd be messing up the controls every time I booted up the next game.

Oh and I recommend the Max Payne games. Not too long and pretty damn fun.

And that why sometimes I hate myself why one of my main hobby I have is videogames [my other is to create artworks :)]

You must put a LOT of effort to keep up with games that you want to play, but you don't have enough time to do so.

My daily job and many others things I have to do in my life, don't let me to "care" anymore for some games I think I will start "someday" [I mean actually never...].

And by seeing your list..........just stop.
If you have a daily job like me and others things you must do, you will never be able to complete a single one.

My only positive advice to give you is when you start a new game and make you to play more, then finish this specific game. Don't start again the other game you started them. Believe me, I was in your place when I was younger.

If I were you I'd power game trough a console at a time, starting with PS3 and going on from there.
Going by sub-category of genre next, I'd start with platforming and end with rpgs.
But if you'r going by play value, I'd say Recettear: An Item Shop Tale was well worth getting into.

Of those games, I would focus on these:
Riddick: Dark Athena, I loved the setting and the combination of stealth and shooter skills required to beat it.
Vampire the Masq: bloodlines. The story and RPG elements are unprecedented. However, you should hurry up before the graphics start to feel too dated. I would also recommend a character build that focus on melee weapons rather than guns; firearms seams to be mostly ineffective against the creatures that lurk in the night. Also, there is an unofficial widescreen mod for it which makes the game easier on the eye, as well as several unofficial bug-fixes and expansions.

Also I aloud like to consider the baldur's gate series, but there is a HD remake coming out soon.

why not play through some of the shorter titles like braid and limbo. you can get through those in a few hours each and knock them off the list. they're good games aswell.

Wow that's a huge list of unfinished games. If you do want to finish stuff, I'd say start with the short games like Limbo and Trine.
Also, don't worry about it. If you only enjoyed the first half of something, why not stop there? It's your time.

I'm going to cast my vote for Limbo. I have the same sort of problem you do, in that I can never actually finish any games, but the nice thing about Limbo is that it's pretty short and there isn't a huge amount of side content to distract me from my mission.

Mother of God. I thought I was in a bad spot, but...damn.

If indecision is the problem, I'd suggest selecting two games and switching between the two when you don't feel like playing the other. Make them something radically different, too. Like, Lost Odyssey and Odin Sphere. Try to avoid playing any other games or you might find yourself down the rabbit hole again.

Also: seriously, play Lost Odyssey and Odin Sphere. They're both brilliant.

Limbo and Braid are quite short, so wouldn't take long to complete. I've only played the first "Trine", but that was thoroughly enjoyable.

I also have a fat backlog of games of about 35-40 games D=

Jesus... I've never seen anything like it. To be honest if I were you I would just get rid of a lot of those. If you don't find them compelling enough to play then get some money out of them.

But as for suggestions of what to play I say Portal and Portal 2. They're both relatively short but consistently excellent. They're pretty much required gaming. Mirror's Edge, Braid, Bastion and Bioshock are well worth your time too.

Resist...urge...to suggest adding Shadow of the Colossus and Ico to your list...

Concede... by leaving... the above as a subtle suggestion

It really depends what you're looking for. I'd leave Dark Souls and Demon Souls for now. I don't know about Demon Souls, but I found that Dark Souls is a good game to play intermittently and not try to run through in one go. From the games that I've actually finished on that list, I'd suggest Metroid Prime or Amnesia. Metroid Prime is a fun and satisfying game, and the final boss is very fun and Amnesia isn't a long game so you could finish it quickly. Plus the earlier you finish it the earlier your torment ends.
