Well, while I'm setting it in flames, which always gets me into the Christmas holiday spirit, then I want to ask you Escapists.
What are you doing?
And how do you get into the Holiday spirit feeling?

I'm sitting here, just logged onto the PC.
Oh yea,and it's my Birthday, so there's a bit of unwrapping to do when mum gets back.
[small]Holy shit! I'm an adult![/small]

As for the Holiday spirit mine generally kicks in on December 24th. It's like an animal's migratory instinct.

Happy birthday. OT: We really don't have room in our tiny ass apartment for any sort of tree, it would just block the TV.

My family put up the tree two days ago. Though I generally dislike the Christmas holidays, I always feel a little happier looking at that tree.

It annoys me to see poeple putting decorations up early.

But I'm just getting ready for my mock GCSE exams.

Our dad's a right old Scrooge, so our tree doesn't go up until a week or two before Christmas day.
The decorations around town have been about since halfway through November, so I don't really think I'm missing out.

Hmm good point! I'll probably raise it up 2 weeks before Christmas Day.

We haven't done the tree thing in years. Although, when I visit my family in the country, they do. Mind you, we still have lights set up in our hall from last year. We're, uh, we're not very quick with the reaction time...

I don't get in the holiday feeling.
I have my birthday tommorow and that is far more important.
Christmas just sorta.. Drifts in and then back out after dinner.

I don't put up a tree until at least December and it's not December yet, so no tree yet.

And I'm not really doing much of anything right now. Just waiting until I get tired enough to go to bed.

My family tends to put up the tree about a week or two before Christmas, so nothing really Christmas-y is really going on in my house yet; but:

I'm like him, got to get ready for them and a few modular exams for science, too. We had an assembly in school a few weeks ago and our headteacher said we didn't have a Christmas holiday, only a 2 week 'study period' before the exams, it wasn't exactly a comment that was popularly received by my year.

I'm always in the Holiday Spirit, and now that it's actually the Holiday Season I'm even more in spirit than usual.

Apparently it's going to be one of the worst winters in years this year, which is a good thing for me since I absolutely love snowy winters.

It's pretty much heresy to put up the Christmas tree before Sinterklaas, think Christmas but with a lot better candy and a much grander lie towards children (think staging his arrival all grand like with celebrities and all that shit dressing up, it's cool but oh so evil), here is over. And that ends at the 5th of December, so we'll put it up shortly after that

HM... i don't have/use any decorations and such... but i visit my parents on the 24/25th. They have a beautiful huge, NATURAL tree and lots of candles. And there will be CHOCOLATE and NUTS and shit, like back in the old times.

So yeah: i am not really one for "christmas spirit" for a FUCKING month, but i enjoy one-two days of it.

I put our decorations up early this year, somewhere about 20th Novemeber.
I don't care if people say it's too early. What with the weather and financial woes we needed cheering up and it's my youngests first Christmas so why not? x

I'm not putting up anything if I can help it. It's summer where I live - having fake pine trees and fake snow and lights just looks weird. I used to string up some lights on our palm trees, but they were cut down since they were waaaaayyy too tall.

Of course, my sister is going to try to make us put up the damn tree. And I'll get roped into it. She's the one who wants it up, but oddly enough, she never puts it up herself (although she does decorate it a bit).

The Christmas spirit is dead in my household, since everyone in it is grown up and has jobs (we live together because it's cheaper that way). Anything we want, we've already bought already, so there's no real need to give gifts. Christmas is dead to me, and has been since I was 13 years old. There's nothing exciting about it in the least.
