I have recently finished scouring all of Oblivion, and I really miss the dungeon segments in it, where its dark and empty, but rigged full of traps and loot

I would like to match that experience again.

recommend a Dungeon Crawler, it can be anything from big budget to low budget home-made games.
It can be turn based, as long as the combat doesn't get too lengthy or difficult

Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon.
Those are fantastic Dungeon Crawlers with every dungeon being randomly generated.

The original Dungeon Siege was pretty fun.

The combat was simple hack-n-slash. It had an interesting leveling system similar to oblivion's skill system. And the entire game consists of going to dungeons, going through dungeons, and coming out the other side in a town so you can sell loot before going to another dungeon.

You haven't crawled a dungeon until you finish Nethack.

ALSO: Fallout 3 / Fallout 3: New Vegas have a lot of dungeon crawling: in the future.

Ah, if you want a game in which you must scour dungeons repeatedly, where the dungeons can often be huge and labyrinthine (Is that correct?) and where the enemies evolve with you...

I recommend Oblivi...oh.

Fallout 3 has a lot of subway tunnels with (effectively) zombies in them.

Torchlight? It's a diablo clone (by some of the same developers I believe) and quite fun, pretty easy though so I hiked it up to very hard to get a challenge.

The Dark Cloud games for Playstation 2.

Pros: The dungeon floors change every time, so it's impossible to get bored replaying it.

Cons: Weapons can break if you don't watch out. It's worse in the first one where if the weapon breaks it's gone for good, but in the sequel you can get them back easily. That's why you should always avoid mimics in the first game.

Really? THIS far into the topic and no mention of Persona? Well, let me fix that.

If you haven't played Persona 3 or 4, FIX THAT. Seriously amazing games, both of them. (although if you only pick one, go with Persona 4. Probably my favorite RPG of all time.)

If you liked Oblivion for dungeons, you might want to try Morrowind. In more diablo-style, Torchlight. And Diablo, Diablo 2 of course. And All the Dungeon Siege games.

Dungeon Siege 3 just came out and it's pretty good co-op/single player.

Do you have a DS? If so, then check out The Dark Spire. It has turn based combat, and you control a party of 4, but it's one of the best dungeoncrawlers I've played. Although, the combat can be pretty hard. Unless you're way overleveled, every encounter is potentially lethal. You can save whenever so that helps to keep it from getting frustrating.

If you don't have a DS, then roguelikes are the only games I can think of. Try Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, if you want a simple, but fun roguelike, or Nethack if you want to have to learn a lot of stuff before you can actually play.

Desktop Dungeons (PC, downloadable), Etrian Odyssey (DS, haven't played), Nethack (PC, really really hard), Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (DS, also somewhat hard).

Prius Online and Vindictus are two free PC MMO games that you can dungeon crawl in.
depends on what class you play but you just have to work your way up to lv25~30 and you can start dungeon crawling for levleing
Vindictus is just hackinslash dungeon crawlng forever and an age
so its fun to keep around.
Free?
I like free
I'm not sure about the MMO part though, those usually take up a ton of hard drive space

If you have a PS3, Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls fits your description to the letter.

Dark and empty dungeons with traps, chests and monsters.
