Condemned series and dead space are great entry games into the survival horror genre. Get a gamecube controller for your wii as well, Resident Evil remake and Eternal Darkness are must plays.

For under forty bucks you could own condemned 1 & 2, and Dead Space. Definitely a great place to start.
