So I got a bunch of anime for Christmas and with my tax return, but I'm not sure what I want to watch first. I was figuring maybe the Escapist could help deciding my viewing schedule. The list is;

Freezing Season 2
Okami-San and Her Seven Companions
Bikini Warriors
RWBY Seasons 1-3
High School DxD
(All Three Seasons)

I generally don't get to watch a lot of things, so this will last me for quite some time and thus I'll probably see them throughout the year rather than in one sitting, hence the asking for help.

Bikini Warriors is a good start just by virtue of how it's so short. You'll definitely get through it in one sitting, even with the OVAs it's just above the length of a typical primetime episode.

After that, between Okami-San and Her Seven Companions
and Freezing Season 2 it's really all about your preference between romcom and fan service in terms of which to watch first.

Then High School DxD is what you want for your late night anime watching.

That of course leaves RWBY Seasons 1-3 last on that list to watch.

I wish my queue was that short. Got an entire shelf dedicated to the anime I own I haven't seen yet, to say nothing of all the ones I've got queued to stream on Funi and Crunchy.

I'll save you the trouble, RWBY is a better wiki read than watch. Entire show is plagued with animation and perspective fuck-ups(I'm talking there's more than a few times where the characters randomly T-Pose in the middle of scenes, said characters being larger than the building they're standing on when they're not supposed to be, and a real lack of anything resembling a cohesive narrative)

But otherwise, in terms of quality(and what I know about them):

Bikini Warriors
Freezing(could be confusing this with something completely different)
DxD
Okami(don't remember it well enough)
RWBY(if you really feel the need to put yourself through Animeme the series, Blake and Jaune are adorable as characters though)

Ill put in a vote for RWBY because despite the animation I enjoyed it thoroughly
love the Characters the setting the deign and the fight scenes. The thing that really stands out and got me to watch in the first place was the music.
To be fair UI ahve not watched any of the others on the list so *shrug*

RWBY is a case study into how to make every mistake possible and still make a show that is almost watchable. No series promotes fan fiction like RWBY, because no show makes you believe you can do better more.

I love it.
I hate it.
I love to hate it.

Did they dub the ova episodes of bikini warriors?

I'd start with Okami-San... its pretty short and easy to get through. Its not really great... but its easily worth it for the narrator, one of the funniest bits in anime.

I watched 2 episodes of Freezing and HSDxD. And never continued either, or wanted to. Didn't find them funny, interesting, or clever at all.

Never saw Bikini Warriors.

RWBY... its fun. I like the worldbuilding. The characters are stock types and follow pretty cliche development paths. But its put together in such a familiar way that those cliche and stock characters feel familiar and comfortable. Its an effortless watch basically. And the worldbuilding, its a world 100x more interesting than the story they're telling in that world. Plus, a good soundtrack. And it's an ongoing series that you can still get caught up on and only need access to youtube to stay current with. I understand the people who hate or just "meh" on RWBY, they make some pretty valid arguments. But my counter argument is "its fun and effortless and not a gigantic commitment (like trying to get into One Piece or something like that.)"

I agree with Saelune, don't even bother watching RWBY, it absolutely fucking sucks. Even as a popcorn show it really is just plain bad. I actually recommend watching Cowboy Bebop as a good popcorn show.
I saw Season 4 and it was interesting, which is why I got Seasons 1-3.

Seen CBB already.

Thanks for reminding me that Okami existed, I need to give it a watch...if only because the female protag looks like a grown up Taiga.

So, yeah, do that one.

You should watch High School DxD late at night.

The guy is a pervert but he has a heart of gold (if a little tarnished).

And the special powers he creates on the spot are just freaking weird.

But if you piss him off then you better have a will handy.
