I bought skyrim, played it for a couple hours, got bored, went and played Dawn of war, solar 2, starcraft, and other games.

EDIT: I love the Tau

Skyrim is kind of fun... I guess... I think?

Nah. I gave it up after 6 hours when I realized Morrowind mods > Bethesda's multi-million dollar product.

I think that First Person blog on Skyrim can basically sum up my feelings on it. Soulless and all that. But apart from that, you know Role Playing means you should have a conversation system that has more options than "yes" or "no that quickly becomes a yes" don't you Bethesda?

I don't know, i think Fallout NV basically ruined all other open world RPG's for me by lobbing all those options at me. I hope Obsidian does the next TES game.

I'm pretty sure how much you enjoy Skyrim is defined by what your personal definition of an RPG is.

I think a large portion of the Escapist community is likely to ignore this thread...also for lack of discussion value.

It'd more helpful if you could explain WHY you don't like it, might help garner a few more replies.

OT: to be honest, You can't really say a game that almost the entire internet has been heaping praise on is bad. You're entitled to your opinion of course, but that is just your opinion.

I was excited at first when I played Skyrim but it just doesn't seem to have the same atmosphere and excitement that Oblivion had.

I havn't played it in a while. The main quest was easy and all of the faction missions are dull.

while its alot easyer to "get into" theres still the fact that my charachter doesnt have any reason to do anything....theres no way to "express" who my charachters is (as n lack of actual dialouge systm)

the quests are just "can you do this? THANKS!" no real involment or anything

I dont like it because it has no atmosphere, all the quests feel much the same, and the npcs all feel like generic NPC #1 #2 or #3

Um... congratulations? I guess? What exactly is... the point here?

I enjoy Skyrim, and will continue to do so. I haven't played a game that felt as immersive in a while. I genuinely want to spend more time with my character, exploring that world. That's my opinion. Yours, while different to mine, is equally as valid. Yay! Opinions for all!
