I'm Really Worried About MW3

Hey escapists, I don't know about you guys but I'm excited for MW3 but I'm worried there won't be any stealth in the game at all, I mean if two continents go to war there won't be many opportunities for stealth in London, New York, Paris or Berlin.


What do you guys think of the Stealth in the CoD Games?

And the other part of me wants to say you've got a high enough post count to know about that, so this is supposed to be ironic.

Either way, I don't care, as I've never been big into the Call of Duty games.

I meant the Escapist in general, what with this sites documented history of hatred towards the CoD series and Activision.

I've seen a lot of Admiration for the older CoD games like Modern Warfare 1 and Cod 2 so I figured and I wasn't worried about being flamed.

I stopped worrying about CoD after CoD 4.

As much as I hate to say it, I'm done with CoD, They sold out and are now just getting produced to please their giant fanbase.

But yeah, I honestly think a force stealth section is the least of this games problem.

The fact is I don't think any future CoD game will have a stealth mission as tense and exciting as the one in CoD 4, so I'd rather they not bother trying.

Well, MF3 is probably (as said) going to have atleast one stealth bit. and the rest pretty much being highly idiotic firing at random directions, hoping for kills. Which happens to me in MW2 anyway. Can't snipe anyone there, sadface.

True, and I wish your thread nothing but the best, but I foresee this thread burning.

And like I said originally, I wish I could be more insightful, but the only CoD campaign I've ever played was Big Red One way back on the original X-Box, and I barely remember it to be honest.

With that logic , alot of games wouldn't bother with alot of things

There'll be some.
Judging by what we've seen so far, I think it'll be very Special Forces centric, as opposed to the usual mix between Special Forces teams and grunts you get.

Which means there'll be something. Probably involving marksman rifles.

I liked the stealth in CoD 4.

Frankly I'm more worried that it's only just been teased and everywhere including my super market have got displays up going "Preorder the game here today". For God's sake, there's 156 days to go...

if you mean by stealth 'a mission where the illusion is created that you are not being detected and you have a sniper', then ofcourse. they know that for most fans those are the favorites, so they would be dumb not to have those.

Thats.... Exactly how stealth is done 99% of the time?

wrong, a good stealth game doesn't have a pre-made path, in a stealth game you can take as many routs as you want to avoid being seen (see assassins creed for example). in COD4 its literally the same path over an over no matter how many times you play it.
