Oh, there will be plenty of chances to do stealth. Bombed out cities make for great sneaking missions. Look at where Modern Warfare and World at War set their stealth missions. Both ruined cities, both easily the best levels in their respective games.
The entire world may be at war, but all of war does not equal epic fire fights and explosions all around. Even in reality, stealth and snipers play major roles in combat missions.

personally i found the stealth sections interesting, but not very well done. once you are seen, there is no way to lose the guards, no matter where you run to, which is a pile of wank.

i would like to see another one, perhaps with better AI. they could put a stealth mission in a flashback perhaps? just like cod4

I stopped worrying about CoD after CoD 4.

As much as I hate to say it, I'm done with CoD, They sold out and are now just getting produced to please their giant fanbase.

But yeah, I honestly think a force stealth section is the least of this games problem.
Wait...what? They sold out by making games for their fans? Isn't that what they're supposed to do? Pleasing your fanbase = revenue, which is the entire point of a business like Activision. Do you think there's even one large developer that doesn't make games to make money? EA, Valve, Bioware, Bethesda, Blizzard, Bungee. They make games for their fans so they can continue to make money.

OT: There will surely be a stealth based level in MW3. During the large battles, there will be a few covert sections to get behind enemy lines and/or stop a missile launch or something. It's pretty much mandatory at this point.
They sold out by not listning to the fans in anyway, people screamed for them to change things but not even an email, their PR relation guy flat out said he hated the cummunity around the launch of Black Ops, and activision fired most of Infinity Ward while refusing to pay them what they where owed for makeing a top selling game.

Yeah, they are totally fine people -.-

People care about MW3? Weird, I thought that as soon as we heard about the lack of dedicated servers that was it.

I'm still waiting for a proper Cod stealth mission, since every stealth mission has always gone tits up after a predetermined point Black Ops had the most laughablely simple stealth section i've seen for a while.

To clarify, by proper stealth mission i mean get in, take the flag, get out with no alarms. No stupid ass "oh we're programmed to notice you once you click on that door" bullshit

Ah whatevs i'm not buying MW3 anyway

There isn't any real stealth in CoD, just follow the leader or GO TO THIS SPOT NOW stealth. But I'm sure they'll include some kind of mission like they have the previous few games. Maybe the Cliffhanger mission in MW2 is a good example of what they could do, but other than that I don't think CoD has any real stealth.

Edit: Damned double post.

Stealth always seemed too...shoehorned and contrived to warrant a...special case. Did MW2 even have a stealth section?
The Cliffhanger mission. Granted, there aren't many different ways to tackle it and it's simple, but it's a decent example of a stealth mission done right. Except for the last part where it goes back to nonstop action, snowmobiles, and impossible cliff jumps.

The stealth mission in CoD4 got praise, so now they're obligated to throw one in every game.

And it will most likely be "wait until your comrade tells you to move or shoot" as usual.
