I actually keep a bookmark folder marked "antidepressants" for just this reason. They're tailored to me of course, so your mileage may vary. But with a bit of an intro they might still serve. So as long as you're asking...
Everything spoilered for length.
Warhammer 40K, in case you're not familiar, is a grim-dark sci-fi universe that serves as background lore to a whole bunch of games, books, etc. How grim you ask? Well, in this world humanity has recessed to a totalitarian theocracy where the average sod has three career options. One: join the army, which's main strategy is to bury humanity's various enemies in their own men's corpses hoping to slow them down somewhat. Two: be lucky enough to get chosen as one of the 1000 people to get their soul sucked out and have them fed into the god-emperor of mankind's necrotic husk to keep it more or less alive for another day. Three: get their head blown off by the inquisition for only praising the emperor 49 times that day. Yet this imperium of mankind is still arguably the good guys in this world, by virtue of everyone else being even worse. It was originally conceived as a one-off parody of the original warhammer setting, which is already rather gritty, but was kept going as it turned out there was an audience for it.
Now what part of that could possibly amuse me? This one: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Felinid
Translation: cat girls are canon in the world of 40K. Only by merit of the tiniest of footnotes yes, but that actually adds to the fun as it leaves the audience free to fill in the details however they wish. Personally I choose to believe their army helmets have widdle ear holes, they like to sleep in their fellow soldier's laps, and they're very devout to the god-empurr-nyan of mankind. =(^.^)=
Incidentally many hardcore 40K fans also fiercely despise any canon that isn't quite as gritty as it could be, feeling it ruins the setting. Needless to say the mere existence of felinids is weapons-grade trolling material when concerning these people, which can on occasion be fun in it's own right... > :3
The TGS podcast: a weekly podcast where three reasonably famous youtubers plus that week's guest talk about games and stuff. Like many famous youtubers Jesse Cox, one of the three regular hosts, likes to ham up his persona quite a bit. In his case this happens to be that of a desperately lonely geek. As a part of that he had tried to publicly declare his undying love to Felicia Day, a far more famous youtuber and unofficial geek queen, multiple times but always failed. Then one day Felicia agreed to be a guest on the TGS podcast... The footage pretty much explains itself from there.
Unboxing videos: the curious phenomenon of youtubers unboxing something interesting, typically expensive stuff, on camera. As of late some marketers have begun making clever use of this by sending such youtubers their products for free in a particularly nice box and thus receiving free publicity in return. Some time ago Intel jumped onto this bandwagon and sent some top-of-the-line computer hardware to select youtubers. Most of them no-nonsense computer-tech people, but for some reason the list included Brooke 'Dodger' Leigh Lawson who is most known for geeky arts & crafts, let's plays of weird dating sims, and generally having the energy of a large squirrel. What follows is probably the best/worst train wreck of an unboxing mankind has ever witnessed...
To make matters even better, the Intel marketing people apparently have a sense of humour and made sure to remember her the next time they set up this kind of marketing stunt. It... Doesn't go much better.
So, I had a daydream. A daydream where dragons were real. And I daydreamed that a dragon landed in the middle of a crowd of people, looked at one person and outstretched it claw in a menacing way and said to the person...
"Pull my talon."
And I wondered if the people behind the dragon were suddenly stricken with a fear most reserve for natural disasters, world wars and dinosaurs. It made me laugh quite a bit. ^_^
I can't be asked to make embeds but I have a folder in my bookmarks called "Smile File". Here are some of the ones that are probably more universal.

Its a dog playing a bass drum while a man plays guitar and it loops perfectly.

Short video of an elderly man being constantly startled by a man with a camera, I presume it's his son.

Another animal looping to a song, this time its a bird squeaking to some rock song, really good loop.

Finally, here's a short video of a girl being scared of her shadow and trying to run away from it unsuccessfully.
Has anyone ever saved your life? Like is there someone that, without them, you almost certainly would have died? There might be somebody that fits that criteria for you specifically, but there's only one man living who can claim to have been that person for everyone reading this--for literally every person who's alive right now. And no, I am not about to start lecturing you about Jesus.
Here's a great story about why none of us should be here:
As much as I like this video, I disagree with the narrator on what the message of this story is. Although Stanislov Petrov has experienced a great deal of personal tragedy and injustice in his life, my ultimate takeaway is the reminder of how lucky we all are to be here. There's no guarantee of tomorrow, so we have to make the best of the lives that Mr. Petrov's actions may have allowed us to have.
Also, Stanislov Petrov is still alive and living in Moscow right now. So if any of you guys find yourself over there, maybe buy him a drink?
How can a world that has turtles in it be pointless? I reject your hypothesis and replace it with Mr. Rogers.

Also, why is LotR included in a video about sad moments?
Middle-Earth "heaven" is actually a physical realm, Valinor, were only immortals - Elves - are allowed ingress. Famously nobody knows what happens to Middle-Earth humans when they die. Or Dwarves/Hobbits for that matter.
eh, I'm a recent convert as well though I feel that the second half of UBW was underwritten and that Fate/Zero is the only really good work animation wise (note, haven't seen the Kara no Kyoukai movies)
