Failing that, just run and head for Antarctica, for as zombies have no body heat they will just freeze solid and die.

what you should be afraid of is the marvel zombies, thankfully they dont exist here so no worries

I also have a similar fear of the Weeping Angels from Dr Who.

Because you pick it up and hit them over the head with it. Its nice and heave so it should do a good bit of damage. If you hope to survive the zombie apocalypse you should really know these things

But It would be very heavy...

Heavy is good for hitting things with, you may not be able to carry it that far, but it could at least give you an opening to break through the horde.. Its still more useful than a chainsaw.
A chainsaw gets clogged after one kill and breaks, and it comes to pieces and loses any viability for clubbing.

Well, this might be slightly comforting. With our studies and chances to meet other outer-planet life forms, if aliens were to spot earth, they would most probably ignore us or not even be bothered with us. Chances are, these aliens do not need "human flesh to survive" or somethings the movies make up. There will be no xenomorphs etc. If they made it this far in the galaxy, we would probably be of as much value to them as a cup of water is to a swimming pool. Mind you, they also might abduct us to study us or just blow earth up if we piss them off.

First off, Zombies are very possible so it's not irrational, but foolish nonetheless. What you need to do is get yourself a plan. Evaluate your surroundings and determine how you'd stay safe till either the army wiped them out or they starved to death (starving is a very useful possibility if said Zombies are infected rather than undead). Just keep your eyes on the ball and don't let them scare you, all they are is an ill human running around for food. A shovel to the head will easily keep you safe, have it next to your bed.

Remember: they are more afraid of you than you are of them... or was that bears? You should probably be more afraid of bears... Unless they eat zombies, then you should tame one and hide him under your bed. Nothing is quite as effective at keeping flesh-eating monsters away as an even bigger flesh-eating monster.
