I have a similar fear of aliens. Irrational as all hell, but I can't help but imagine them coming through my bedroom door late at night and freaking the hell out of me.

Well, this might be slightly comforting. With our studies and chances to meet other outer-planet life forms, if aliens were to spot earth, they would most probably ignore us or not even be bothered with us. Chances are, these aliens do not need "human flesh to survive" or somethings the movies make up. There will be no xenomorphs etc. If they made it this far in the galaxy, we would probably be of as much value to them as a cup of water is to a swimming pool. Mind you, they also might abduct us to study us or just blow earth up if we piss them off.

So a zombie is basically a dead body reanimated by a virus or whatever with no intelligence and the urge the bite anything that moves. How could it actually digest anything? And more importantly, wouldn't these things just omnomnom one another until very little remained?

I was actually scared of zombies before that conundrum came up. Made the whole concept fall apart faster than Santa Claus for me.
