Jump on Button, Run along, Jump on vehicle or badly animated animal, fly up to ledge, jump down hole, collect some stuff. I sware every level is the same.

I'm not saying the game is bad it is good. The problem being that it is not the gameplay that entertains me, it is the comedy that is brought to the levels mostly through people recreating an old nintendo game or having a pop at Xbox and these are the levels being removed.

Why did sony release a game with so much potential when they must have known they were going to have to ban a hell of a lot of user created content. Why no warning on the box.

I was going to create a penis influinced level but now i'm not going to even bother. whats the point if no one can download it to be offended.

I've got agree. I rushed through the 1 player, collected loads of stuff. Ventured into 'Cool Levels'. Didn't find many. I've played 50. Maybe 5 were standout good. Some were okay. Quality is very very low.

Pretty sure I'm going to get rid of it unless Sony stop deleting all the quality.

That game only held about 3 minutes worth of interest to me. My friend thought that would be the game to make me want to buy a PS3.

Because Sony has lost it's way to market gamers. Just movie lovers

I didn't bother to pick up LBP. I had a half a dozen friends telling me it was beyond awesome and that I must have it, but I pretty much figured the novelty would wear off very, very quickly because - and I freely admit this - I don't have the creativity to create interesting levels.
As far as I know, none of my friends are still playing it.

Maybe it comes down to how creative you are - I've seen some truly brilliant levels, and that only pushes me to produce something bigger and better myself.

what is any fps game? walk through hallways, shoot enemies, press buttons to open doors. rinse, repeat. what is a rpg? walk around the magic land, kill monsters, gain xp, talk to people, do quests; rinse, repeat.

all games boil down to the same: you have some challenge in front of you and the game asks you to complete that. that you say you don't like lbp is fine, but to say that the gameplay is flawed is to say that every video game's gameplay is flawed because it follows the same lines.

was the original crash bandicoot a bad game? it had similar gameplay.

That is true. But as a platformer fan, it didn't work. My friend had the nerve to compared that game to Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario 64.

I don't think that's fair. LBP handles very differently to the likes of Mario Bros games. Mario 64 is certainly a bad choice (it's 3D, LBP is 2.5D).

I think what should be emphasised is this - if you are the sort of gamer who plays a game, enjoys it and expects nothing more to do with it, then you probably won't enjoy LBP - as a platformer, it doesn't excel like Super Mario World did.

If you're the sort of gamer who plays a game, and spends the rest of the weekend doodling characters, writing fan-fiction and posting on forums saying "wouldn't it be cool if you could do X in this game?" then you will love LBP. It's very much about making your own levels, machines, etc.

I'm currently making ram-tanks that cause giant zombies to explode. Fun fun fun.

Wow... I read this after hearing all the folks with a PS3 claiming that LBP will be the PS3's killer app (which always made me laugh when I heard it) and now I hear it's just a mediocre platformer?

Mediocre is far from it.

I did have fun making levels that were difficult yet passable. However, after some of my friends PSN friends beat them with ease, I was like "fuck this" lol. But I am a creative person, just it didn't work.

No, it's a good platformer with a really brilliant level editor.

Oh come on, if you were going to make a Penis level with suggestive themes everywhere, of course it would be banned/ban you! Use some common sense. (though admittedly, I was also going to make a penis level, but only to send to my friend >_>; )

Why do people openly admit that they "rushed through the Single Player" part of LBP? I'm just curious, it's as if people are alright with completely rushing through a simple platformer yet they are allowed to take their time with anything else. If you rush through the single player, you're missing out on alot of content just like if you rush any other game to the finish line.

Like Wargamer said I guess, it depends on how creative you can be. Personally, I havn't touched the level creator for a while because I was completely stumped on what to do while my friend has made a couple of really cool levels with it. THen, only recently, I got a stroke of genius and finaly decided a level to create.

If you rush through the single player, you're missing out of the sharing aspect and the create which is pretty much the 2/3s of the game. That's fine, though, to each his own, but don't complain that an RPG is short because you skipped all the sidequests and optional games. Similar to this.

He makes a sharp point there. Fallout 3 was embarassingly short if you didn't bother with all the little niggling sidequests.

I think there is a misunderstanding I'm close to 100% collectables and working through the multiplayer with friends. I was off work ill and had much sofa time to finish the game. Maybe rush was the wrong word. I'm not going to drag it out to say it was longer. It is a short one player game. I have been playing user created and have attempted making my own levels, this is slow to be good - probably the cause of so many mediocre levels in 'cool levels'.

My point remains - not much there. Sony pulling levels sucks - maybe they're the quality ones.

I'm going to go on record as stating LBP would have been so much cooler if the little guy could breath fire (maybe even just to trigger something.

Am I the only one that expects sackboy to unleash burning doom but never gets his fix?

Could you please explain the abbrivation for all us layman out there?
LBP = LittleBigPlanet

I've lost count of the hours I've been playing this, and I've not finished the story mode, nor have I been creating levels yet. Granted I play it mostly with my 4 year old daughter, and her amusement is infectious, which means a lot of replaying levels. That said, I am generally highly amused by it when I play on my own too. I find the levels well designed if you are trying to do everything in one go - they can be very short if you run through for a "no lives lost" completion. The number of replays has led to 100% items on the first 3 creator areas. Don't get me wrong, there are a couple of flaws in it that annoyed me, but overall, it is a superb game so far - I am looking forward to playing user created levels and creating my own as well.
The thing that puzzles me about the user designed content that has been withdrawn is - if it was a well designed level that plays well, surely that would remain true even if whatever offending object of IP was removed? Why would something's value be because of it's reference to Zelda, or Mario, or whatever other IP?
The quality problem is surely the "network" - the person who gets lots of hearts or whatever because of having a lot of friends can have some highly rated turds where good levels by loners will fall between the cracks.

By the way, does the game have secrets or anything of that nature? Hidden levels?
