...I'm not entirely sure I understand what you're saying... it sounds like you're saying if I buy a used game and it sucks then I have no right to complain... why? If a game looks good and it turns out to be a flaming sack of shite then I'm going to complain, why wouldn't I?
I think his argument stems from the premise that, if you're not going to contribute money to current/future game development from that company, then if they develop shit, you can't complain because you didn't give that developer any money.

Anyway, I think that if you insist on driving over the legal blood-alcohol limit, then get pulled over and charged/arrested for impaired driving, you have no right to complain.

There are just certain situations, where you forfeit your right to ***** about it. Ex: You refused to buy flood insurance, though you could afford it and you live in a flood zone. Your house is damaged in a flood. You don't get to complain there. If you have no one to blame but yourself in a situation, you can't complain about it. End of story.*End Rant.
You don't have the right to complain if your entire house and all of your possessions are destroyed?

SORRY, YOU GOT SHOT BY A CRIMINAL, YOU COULD HAVE BOUGHT BODY ARMOR BUT YOU DIDN'T LOLOLOL

Anyone complaining about any form of entertainment does not, EVER, have the right to do so unless they've witnessed that entertainment for themselves. Main case in point, nobody has the right to complain about Twilight unless they read the books or saw the films for themselves. And by that I mean sat through it, not just given up halfway saying it's shit. Committ to something if you want to earn the right to complain about it.

Same goes for Halo, Uwe Boll movies, and pretty much anything else.
That is why you'll never hear me complaining about Twilight. However I will complain about people complaining about Twilight. Seriously... AUUUUUUUGH!!
I also agree, which is why I usually report "reviews" on netflix as innapropriate because they usually go like this: " i just couldn't sit through it i got to the ten minute mark and had to shut it off! WASTE of time!!11!1!" (sorry i cannot bring myself to spell like they did seriously) but it's nice to know i can complain, since I read the book and watched the movie.
... Clearly someone can make observations about the sexist overtones that pervade the series just by the summary and lines of text taken(with context!) and draw a small argument that the book is inherently crap because it's an Uncle Tom's Cabin level of ignorant and distasteful?

I heard some guys complaining that metro 2033 was different than they expected. Even though every single review of the game described it well, they seemed to have ignored every single one and then say it's the developers fault for not giving them what they wanted.

You knew the risks, had the means to alter the situation, but you willfully ignored the danger? You don't get to ***** about it! If you make a tiger perform and he bites you, I will laugh. You ignored the risks, now you must suffer.

Ohhh, that makes MUCH more sense, if that's what he meant then I wish he would have elaborated, but believe you me I'm gunna ***** about it anyways :D

If something that I need sucks and it's a really obscure job to manage or create it then I likely won't get involved with it, and thus I will *****, I will ***** a lot.

actually when you complain about movies/books you haven't finished (or not even started to watch/read) your arguments usually sucks, so i would support this, although i wouldn't really want to make people suffer trough twilight..

It's not that bad for the most part. The only time it got really bad was at the epilogue.

When someone buys a product, for example a shoe. The shoe is too short in length, your toes are hitting the top and you have long toe nails. The assistant has advised you that buying the bigger pair would be more comfortable, you would just have to put an inner sole in them. You do not take the sales assistants advice and return claiming the shoe is at fault for the blood blisters under your nails. You will not accept that I will not give you a refund or exchange because you have worn them, ask to speak to someone higher up, argue and bit and get told...in these words, "If you bought a pair of underwear and they rode up your backside would you still try to take them back." Then leave believing you were hard done by, then you have no right to complain as you had disregarded the advice already given to you.

Yes, my boss did say that exact line :)

Is it? I wouldn't know I haven't read it. I kind of doubt that exact line is there though! :)

Communist? Yeah sure, why not? If we could get it to work properly it would be awsome!

Thats your fault. Your home being destroyed by a flood is not your fault. Getting randomly shot, is not your fault.

Mine is, if you buy games used, you have no right to complain about the quality of the game or the developers since you're contributing to them.
Tell you what - I'll sell you my car. It's in exactly the same condition it was when I bought it new, but after you buy it it's going to get 8 metres down the road then the engines going to explode. Don't complain though, you never gave the guys who made the car any money so you have no right.
