I've seen people posting from before the internet began. I've seen peoples accounts started well before the site began (talking 90's). As glitches/bugs or exploits in the site.

I think it more likely to be this, especially the way the OP is drawing attention to it and the way he/she posts.

Well if this is the way they really post then it is understandable why they would only have 50+ posts. They wouldn't have been very welcomed back then and it would have been made quite clear.

Somehow, I doubt it. Archie has been on the Escapist IRC channel for years. She isn't one to do something like this to show off a join date.
Chances are, this thread evolved from something being said on the IRC channel.
She really is just a user with an old account.
And a great parrot.
I have to ask her how Pteri is sometime...
Edit: Although, the join date does seem a bit odd... might ask her about that too.

I don't know, it could be genuine.
But it probably did start off as a joke on IRC shortly before she made this thread. She normally doesn't speak much on there, and as such, misses the new people for a while.
I wasn't on the IRC channel at the time this thread was made, so I don't know what happened >.>

No shenanigans here. Accounts here also work on WarCry, which was set up a few years before the Escapist.
So any pre-2005 account would have originated there.

Hi Foxie!

The join date is legit, when I was moderating the other forum I would just make accounts on game sites that came along. Probably there are a few others with my join date and it's not a joke, just that the database is that old. Maybe "Freddo" has the same join date as me if that can be looked up.

This thread is a friendly injoke not a stab at anyone. I feel for the person that took such offense to thread, as it breaks no rules and is just silly fun.
