I'm starting to hate the internet

I hate what the Internet has become. I also hate social networking. Social networking has seen the death of professionalism, respect among peers, and what little remained of common decency.

Besides, without the internet, I wouldn't have the Escapist, or Threadless, or...or...!

Many other awesome things.

I could live with that. I mean I could live the loss of those things, that is.

Is there something you couldn't live without?

Sure there is, but the Escapist and the Internet in general aren't among the things I can't live without. ...not that I'm agreeing that the Internet needs to be destroyed that is. Destroying it won't solve the problem.

That works.

I think, due to free will, it won't ever be "okay". It'll be good, & bad. Just like real life.

Yeah... I just wish I could encounter the good much more often.

I feel that way too. Negativity definitely outnumbers Positivity. I just remain optimistic & keep on looking, or more often then not, create the good myself. Every bit helps!

If you don't like the internet then stop using it or just try to ignore the idiots on it, whichever you prefer. Though ignoring idiots is very much easier said then done.

Is it? Personally, it's very easy for me. I'm very interested in hearing why it's not for others though. I like to understand.

But yes. Thanks to the internet, I now realize just how many people and demographics are working to see me dead or incarcerated, and it's made me pretty close to a shut-in.

I go on 4chan all the time. Mostly for a laugh or two. But the laughs have died down.

The internet is a place where every type of person ever can say anything with complete anonymity. It's what makes it great and terrible at the same time. Destroying it would be a bad thing, but maybe tactically bombing the youtube comments section and some other stuff might not be a bad idea.
