I prefer Still Alive's instrumental parts more, but the atmosphere of Want You Gone is more mature and has a better voice, if you ask me. They both have their benefits. To paraphrase Yahtzee, Want You Gone also suffers from the problem of inevitably being compared to Still Alive, which by virtue of its novelty at the time will always have more nostalgia value. It's hard to compare them because of this.

I have to say, though, my favorite part of any of the lyrics is, "When I delete you, maybe I'll stop feeling so (redacted)." It's the one time GLaDOS ever expresses any real caring sentiment for anything.

It's a bit like the games themselves: Portal 2 was downright awesome, but it'd take a second coming of christ (and likely a third) for fanboys to admit that something might possibly be better than the original Portal.

A brilliant description. Here, have a neurotoxin cookie.

I like both. But I feel "Want You Gone" was better due to it showing how much GLADOS has changed over the course of Portal 2. Not to mention it was pretty catchy.
I agree. It was the more catchy of the two, and I liked the emotional implications for GLADOS.

Edit: That said, until lore proves otherwise (Valve >_>} I have decided Chell died shortly after leaving because her immune system was so separated from the outside world, having been in a sterile environment for so long.
I don't think she died, or else she would have dropped dead after entering the Potato Science area. There are tons of bacteria all throughout that area because of all the Potato's rotting away. Also, plenty of Earth like Material all throughout the game, ranging from fungus to vines. She could have, but she should have also dropped dead when entering many of the side paths. My point is that she has a higher chance of survival because of going through broken, rotting and decaying parts of the facility.

I want you gone is definetly a better song, to me. It showed the change of the main villain into a somewhat nicer villain.
