Imagine opening night for MLP the movie

So I've already marked it down in my mental calender that when the creators of my little pony eventually make a movie out of the franchise to be there on opening night. Its not so much that I want to see the show as much as it is I want to see the audience. This, I imagine, will be the first time the show's two core demographics will mix; male counter-culture 20 somethings and 8 year old girls.

Just imagine it. Its a crisp Friday late summer night and the crowds are lining up outside your local movie theater. Theres a big poster hanging over the arch of the title ponies in a shiny movie render (also it will be in 3-D though no one understands why) Little Suzy and all her friends are super excited to see the pony movie. Little Suzy's father s busy suspiciously eyeing the grown men in Guy Fawkes masks and Rainbow Dash cosplay. He will be seriously disturbed and wonder what exactly it is his daughters watching.

Also Westboro Baptist Church will be there protesting.

Well, it might be hilarious to just people watch but if there is a movie, it's just going to be a TV movie. And also, prepare to get bombarded with "stop posting MLP".

I wouldn't see it but it probably would not get shown anyway, Here in the UK it isnt such a large fandom as in america, there would probably be like 3 people seeing the first showing at the nearest cinema.

All I see in my imagination of this scenario is police arresting 20 year old men who've come to the movies to play with 8 year old girls.

It'd probably be the most colourful queue in the world.

If there was a film, all of the bronies would pre-book the tickets before the little girls got to them so I don't think there'll be any real clash.

I don't want to imagine that.

It gives me a headache.

Yes, we know, blah blah blah, really nice animation, blah blah blah, going against conventional gender roles, blah blah blah.

Plus, it seems to be an American fixation, there's no mention of MLP anywhere in the UK.

All I know is that is such a movie comes out there will be far too many beards in the audience.

I'll line all the Bronies up and shoot them in front of their families!

What, it works for Jeremy Clarkson....

I have been in full on brony mode these past 48 hours and if the movie ever came out anywhere near me I would have to go see it. It would be awesome.

Oh god. I think all the little girls would be scared by the onslaught of crazy looking people running to the theatre.

I'm pretty sure it's shown on Cartoon Network in the UK. I imagine it would still be released in the UK, but as a previous poster said, it'd probably just be a TV movie, which actually would probably suit the format of the show better anyway. I can't think of any cartoon that would benefit from having what is effectively a feature-length episode shown at a cinema.

Its on a channel called Boomerang in the UK, which I believe is Cartoon Network-llite essentially.

It's present in the UK, though perhaps it isn't as big as it is in the US. I know three British bronies personally, and am one myself.
