Try Killing Floor. Even with very little story its still immersive as hell. The gameplay is damn fun too

I heard the game-play in condemned was a little iffy

and with killing floor iv played but just cannot cope with the American typical opinion on English accents.

Half-Life 2, but considering your avatar I'm guessing you've already played that...

Metro 2033 if you're interested at all in horror fps. The only thing that broke the immersion was getting lost occasionally.

Dragon Age is pretty cliche when it comes to characters and creatures but I think it pulls it off as something fun and immersive. I'll find myself playing for like 4 hours when I only intended once. I recommend you try it at least

Oh and Metro 2033 is amazing, but is rather graphically intensive

Get Planescape Torment. Seriouly if you have any interest in RPGs you really need to play it.

- Metro 2033. Post apocalyptic FPS. Deeply flawed but still very good.

- Bioshock. Just plain good. Bit easy though. Play on hard difficulty.

- Mass Effect. If you like sci-fi and action-RPGs, this is for you.

- Penumbra. Indie horror puzzle game. Good stuff. Outdated graphics.

- Mirror's Edge. First person parkour platformer. Cheap. Good times.

(Actually, you might want to do a bit of research on that last one. While I liked it, plenty of other people didn't so I can't promise that you will.)

Lastly, I would like to disrecommend Just Cause 2. It's only fun for a couple of hours. Then it just gets repetative. And the voice acting is beyond horrible.

I haven't played it but perhaps Heavy Rain? I would imagine it has immersion all over it.

Fallout 3, esecially if you get the expansions.

It's a great post-apocolyptic RPG with great variety, great voice actors, many interesting parts of the Wasteland to explore, and an overall great immersive experiance.

Well, I enjoyed the first Condemned (haven't finished the first). I'm not trying to start an argument. Just wondering about how you think it's "iffy". I mean, the only thing that comes to mind is that the enemies will sometimes try to run away and hide around a corner. I mean, that comes across as kinda stupid but I figure that's because their brains are messed up (explained in the story).

I got ninja'd on my recommendations just read this ^. Also, to add to the immersion, I've heard that "head tracking" technology helps...I really hope Kinect works out right...
