Holy fuck, Batman, you are either trolling, or a very, VERY, misinformed individual. I sincerely hope it's the former. Either way, I'm not gonna stand in the middle of this shitstorm.

OT: Politicians, duh!
Oh, shit I didn't even realize it said the atheist thing (I'll edit that out). I just goggled evil leaders or something, and then copied and pasted the results from the first site I clicked on. I didn't intend any offense or to instigate a religious discussion.

Being a pick-up artist is immoral? Like someone who is able to meet and date women with ease? Or do we have different definitions?

I am still sceptical about your opinion due to the fact that you copy pasted it from some christian source--no other place would point out the atheist thing--but I'll let it slide because I don't want to get into that kind of religious discussion.

OP: Stay away from politics since the whole "they did it for ulterior motives" and whatnot could dilute your positions. Try to stick to examples from war since war has countless examples of humans abandoning their morality and being inhuman fucks:
- Rape of Nanking
- Iraq (any time the US went there)
- Soviet treatment of their own soldiers
- Nazi concentration camps
- POW treatment during Vietnam war (both sides)

You could analyze certain people like Charles Manson and other 'eccentric' people. I find war much more interesting because of the relationship between commanders (both generals and politicians) and how orders like "capture this position" turn into "rape all their women" and "treat captured enemy soldiers like animals". It is even more interesting how the blame for immorality gets handed out; the higher up the tree the person is, the less blame they take, and vice versa.

Everyone who has faked throwing a ball in front of a dog.

Okay, seriously: phone vendors, for trying to sneakily deceive you, even though going by the rules.

Like I said I simply copy pasted for the first site that came up. Also, I apologized which is how rare on the internet? Lastly, I posted that as a mistake, you wrote this,"I am still sceptical about your opinion due to the fact that you copy pasted it from some christian source" Knowing full well how bigoted and hypocritical it would sound. Still, I don't retract my apology, in the hopes that you'll learn something from it.

Morality is subjective. Everyone has a different interpretation of what's moral and immoral. It's how a person differentiates between good and evil; it depends on the individual.

I saw your apology after I posted, so I'm sorry about that =X
I was sure it was an honest mistake, which is why I said "sceptical" rather than "disregard anything you say".
The reason I said "from some christian source", because I don't know any other kind of source that would point out the fact that they were atheist (a matter I will avoid due to the fact that I really don't want to get into that discussion).

Just try to be careful the next time you copypasta :D

I'll invoke Hanlon here. Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity; or; Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is completely indistinguishable from malice.

And Mao's "Great Leap Forward" was a rather stupid thing to do if you look at it.

Oh, not aimed at you, really. I was just trying to say that people sometimes can't make the discitncion between people who die because their leaders actively dragged them off into gulags, and those who die because their leaders tried an incomprehensibly stupid policy.

EDIT: Oh, NOW I see what you meant. No, I didn't mean you were stupid rather than a douche, I meant Mao was stupid rather than evil.

I have a feeling that the reason your teacher wants you to present cases of famous immoral behaviour is to show your class how different people can have different concepts on what is moral or not, and how the concept of morality is different given different cultures and timeframes. Anyway, if you want some famous examples of immoral behaviour just talk about those Japanese prison camps in WWII where the Japanese did horrible experiments on captured Chinese soldiers and other people, sort of like the Nazis and their experiemnts on the jews. That's something not everyone knows about. I don't know much else about it though, so use google if you wanna learn more about it.

I have always found it odd that people would do things to each other despite not liking the same action done to themselves... sorta makes most people hypocrites.

Hi guys, for a uni presentation I need to talk about moral and social development. One of the sections is about famous cases of immoral behaviour, eg. the Nazi's or Jack the Ripper. Does anyone have another example of immoral behaviour that I could possibly talk about? I can't think of anything at the moment, it's been a long day.
I hope you don't actually believe that actions can be moral or immoral.

That would be silly. Or, maybe it wouldn't.

This entirely materialistic universe thing is tough.
