I didn't know anything could be "impossible" on the iPhone.

A proper operating system might not be impossible, but it's extremely improbable. Apple have everything invested in that half-assed port of Mac OS X.

I know I'm probably gonna get shit for this, but what's OS X?

I know what a Mac is so I'm not a total idiot. I just don't follow much of Apple's stuff.

It's Apple's operating system of choice, a UNIX based on Steve Jobs' work at NeXTSTEP in the 1990s. The iPhone OS is derived from it, but somehow, they decided to make it completely and totally rubbish. For instance, UNIX has had multitasking since its invention in the 1960s; mobile OSes have had multitasking since the 1990s. The iPhone doesn't have multitasking, because the operating system is limited to save battery in a phone which just sucks down electricity like a vacuum cleaner.

Wow. That sucks. I didn't know the iPhone didn't have multitasking. Everyone talks about how great it is but I guess its not
