So, Valve announced the sequel to arguably one of the best games ever, Left 4 Dead. I mean, sure, some people, 2114 to be precise, are pissed off on Steam and formed a group about it. I mean, c'mon! It's not that bad. I for one am looking forward to it. New melee weapons, characters, stages, incinerator rounds, and a new special infected. Can't wait to use the new upgraded weapons also, new pistols, shotguns, assault rifle, and that wicked awesome axe. What do you people think about the newest zombie extravaganza?

Should be great, I don't know why people are mad/disappointed.

People wanted more DLC for L4D and are angry that it was supposed to be DLC for 2 years. If they like L4D that much it shouldn't matter. Play that while others play L4D2. Which is going to be AWESOME.

It seems alright (although I am kind of pissed since I just bought l4d1), I just hope that they also give you the option to play as the original survivors as well as some new ones.

the smart move for valve would be to have all of the original L4D maps packed into L4D2. that way we dont have to keep switching games back and forth. If they do that, then ill be as happy as a clam

Actually, there are a total of 3 new special infected.
Really I only saw the charger (Which is what that big thing in the trailer is.) And you better not be counting the wandering witch.

Holy fuck... I can't believe opinions like this exist. This is sad.
Yeah... arguable. That's quite a different beast from 'plausible' and wholly other from 'true'.

It was fun, but seriously. So many flaws! Which is why I can dig a new L4D. Take what people said was wrong with the first one and go with it.

I don't think Valve should be marketing something that should (is) an extension pack as a full retail game.

I loved L4D (not one of the greatest games ever), but it skimped waaay to much for me to buy another game in of itself for 60 dollars.

Now pull another Orange Box type thing with L4D, L4D2, Hl2:E3, TF3(?), etc. and I'll happily pay them right now.

Arguably one of the best games ever? The hell are you smoking? Yes it was fun, but no where near the greatness of some epic titles

If I were valve, I would mention that ol' Master Chief would be in it. That would get the millions of 14 year old kids to buy it. Other than that I was looking forward to new maps, characters and weapons that are not made from the SDK actually don't suck.

Looks like there is a really good story behind this one, a lot more variety, can't wait, looks like a lot of fun.

I believe my feelings can be summarised best by the simple phrase "OMG FUCKING CHAINSAW!!!11".

That shit is going to be sweet.

i just feel like its getting released too soon. they're releasing it 364 days after the original. its like L4D2 is just a whole bunch more ideas that should be dlc. it feels too soon to release a sequel to it.

It looks interesting, but after buying l4d already, I sure as hell wont be paying $50 for what is effectively an expansion. If Valve manages to change my mind about it being a glorified expansion, I'll happily fork over the price of a full game.
