- Add healthpacks and remove regenerating health or reduce the regeneration significantly. Managing health and healthpacks encourages teamplay and allows better map design. It also discourages camping in dark corners.
No... Then that's not COD.

As far as I know, all COD's have had health regen. Reducing how fast it does would be better. But Health Packs would change the whole game.

- No dedicated servers in MW2 and 3
- low field of vision.... 70° or less is extremely painful when you are used to playing TF2 with 90° FOV.
- High price. Even the old games don't come down in price. I'm not paying full price for a casual-shooter or 20-30 bucks for a shooter that already had 2 sequels.
There's dedicated servers in MW3, but they're unranked.

Idk why they don't let you change FOV that's stupid.

And I agree on the price, I had to wait a while to get World at War on Steam for a decent price during a sale.

25 Kills - Broken Arrow - Computer controlled 30 Seconds long barrage of precision airstrikes, missiles and air support that targets enemy players and air support

So what do you think?
I'm sorry, but my inner pedant is having trouble sleeping tonight....

Technically this should be called MRSI (Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact) or or Time on Target which are both artillery techniques pretty close to what you describe. Broken Arrow is a NATO code-phrase for a lost nuclear weapon.
I was referring more to the US military definition of calling in all available air support in cases where US forces are surrounded or broken.
Ah OK - maybe give the player an AC130-esque screen where they can mark up all the targets they want hit (but give them say a 5 or 10 second window to find and mark as many as they can). It could be called "FAC" (Forward Air Controller). FAC's usually travel in light aircraft near the front lines but their job is to co-ordinate exactly the type of tactical strike you refer to.

My take on it is this. MW3 is a good game. Its not a great game, its not an excellent game, but its a good game. The MW series (and by proxy BlackOps) have become this generations "Quake" or "Unreal". A twitch based shooter with (fairly) quick game play, and is highly based on your reaction time (and weapon choice).

Things to make MW3 (and by proxy any other shooter games made by them) are, imo, simple to list.

1) Fix the Hit detection: This is my biggest gripe with the last 3-4 games is such poor hit detection. I shouldn't be able to shoot beside someone and have them die. Its just ridiculous.

2) Fix the Spawning Logic: This is another hot button issue of mine for a while. Why am I spawning in a spot where there is line of site to me (for an enemy 10 feet behind) or me spawning right behind someone. That is also ridiculous.

3) Learn to balance the weapons with in a game a bit better, and by proxy, the attachments in which go with them. 90% of my deaths come from a submachine gun, with the perks for faster ADS/reload faster... that is not very balanced.

If these three things were fixed. This game, and future iterations of it, would be a definite force to be reckoned with.

On a personal note, I would like to see some dedicated servers, and an indication that you are actually ON a dedicated server across the board.

Im also a little skeptical about the Juggernaut. How powerful is he? I suppose it would be balanced if it was like the one in MW3 without regenerating health.
Juggernauts are decently powerful. If you shoot at them for awhile, it will take a bit to kill one. But if you take an RPG, I have been killed in a jug suit in one hit from an RPG.

Knife stays but only does as much damage as you have health left. Meaning if you are at full health, the knife will kill in one hit, but you can no longer jump through 10 bullets and knife someone. Simple as that.
I agree with everything you said, except that. I don't think thats a good idea, mainly because you could get a stun grenade direct impacting you or the stun that actually does a small amount of damage, then the knife wouldn't kill at all. I think a system more like Counter Strike or BF3 would be good. Also I think it would be good to have a selectable meele weapon (instead of a knife, a machete or baseball bat) that would offer attributes similar to its real life part. Like a machete would do a lot of damage but not be able to stab or lunge. And a baseball bat would have loads of range, swing fast but do very low damage. Just my two cents,

You are sort of losing sight of what a COD game is, and why it is so successful.

By slowing down the gameplay through adding duck/prone animations and ripping people out of ADS anytime they want to use cover you are changing a lot of the dynamic of the game.

Removing the knife/nerfing it into oblivion is a bad idea as well, I believe one of the Escapist writers here wrote an interesting article on that topic. The TL;DR is that a reset button is needed for awkward close range encounters.

As far as removing KS from rounds that's stupid. People that go 5+ kills in a row on S&D are basically singlehandedly carrying their team and should be rewarded. Why even have higher killstreaks if you don't let people have the ability to obtain them?

Shotguns

Red Dot Sight
Holographic Sight
ACOG Scope
Thermal Sight
Foregrip - Semi-Auto/Automatic Only
Faster Action - Pump Shotguns Only, Reduces time between shots
Extended Magazine
Flechette Shots - Same as FMJ
Laser Sight
Tactical Knife
So what do you think?
Add shotguns with less spread, or have a choke attachment. A solid shell attachment would even work, make it so with the solid shell attachment the firing speed is decreased, it has a huge kick, but it does a ton of damage and has zero spread.
I'm tired of shotguns that can't shoot ten feet, as long as it's balanced.

I have a simple answer to this. Just re-texture and re-model MW1. Nobody will mind.

I can't really speak for all those changes. I played and loved MW1, played and kinda liked MW2 and very, very quickly gave up on MW3. As far as I could tell from my brief experience with it it was better than MW2 but not as good as MW1. So I decided it wasn't worth it.

If those changes make it any more like MW1, then I expect they would indeed improve the game. They certainly would for me.

AK74u - High Damage, High Recoil, High ROF
I needed to bring this up...

Did they ever give a reason as to why the AK47u isn't in the multiplayer? When I picked it up in the Single-player, it was fun to use and really nice looking compared to other guns. So I was saddened when I got to the multiplayer and noticed the lack of the Ak47u.
I have no why not really.

The EMP needs to be nerfed. 60 seconds is waaaay too long and the fact it takes down every single other killstreak makes it the single most broken thing in the game. I know this because I use it all the time and I feel bad each time I do.

The Reaper Drone currently also needs to be toned down to a maximum of 3 shots. It's too bloody annoying to have people spam it.

I haven't found the Reaper to be too bad; it miss half the time, and it missiles only do like half the damage and splash of a regular Predator Missile.

The EMP needs to not be a Support killstreak.

Actually, the Support side was just a bad idea in general.
