Probably Dark Souls. It's something I'd resisted getting because I hadn't really gotten into Demon's Souls and I'd heard this one was harder.

In the end, I wound up getting it anyway, and while I haven't played too much of it, the little I did at least compelled me to go back and give Demon's Souls a serious try.

I strongly regret buying it. :|
I hear you. I can't remember another game in recent memory where I was enjoying it for the first couple hours and then all of a sudden it turned tedious and unenjoyable. I can't force myself to get back into it. But I can't convince myself to get rid of it...I still feel like eventually I'll give it another try.

Let's see... My last impulse buy was Terraria.
It's a fun game, but I'm still not sure if it was worth the 9.99 euros.

Kights of the Old Republic 2 PC from Best Buy. They were having a clearance sale and were selling it for, like, $5. I hadn't played the PC version, and wanted to check out the content restored mod.

If anyone finds themselves in a similar situation, BUY IT. Seriously, buy it, get the content restored mod, and play the game Obsidian wanted you to play.

I bought RAGE the other day only because I had cash in my wallet. I'm enjoying it so far but I haven't had much free time to play it. However things suddenly got easier once I got the combat shotgun, I wonder why...

I bought the GTA collection during its sale, and Sonic Generations. (it came with a free copy of Sonic 3D Blast and Sonic3&Knuckles)

out of all the GTA games in that collection, i only played the first one so far....think i Borked the controls though by mapping it to a Joypad...don't know how to change it back.

Enjoyed the hell out of S3&K though.

I was originally only going to buy Fifa 12, but I saw Child Of Eden was out and only £20, it had picked up some decent reviews so I thought "why not?" Didn't regret it, one of the most interesting games I have ever played.
That's funny because I bought FIFA 12 on impulse because in stores here it is about $100 and I got it on Gamersgate for $35. I love soccer games, but the last one I bought was Sensible Soccer 2006. I'll let that sink in. I won't be needing another football game for a long time because FIFA 12 is so good.

I bought GTA4 for PC a few months ago.

Stupid, considering my CPU sucks balls. Can barely run the damn thing.

Not one of my better ideas.

And yes, it was worth it as it's a REALLY nice coat, and I've been needing one.

Well it's sort of Terraria, but I guess I'd heard and watched enough about that over time that it's not really an "impulse" buy, even though I'd never really had any intention of buying it and then decided "sure, why not?" randomly one day last week.

The last actual impulse buy was probably OIO: The Game. It's an indie puzzle/platformer with some neat mechanics and a wonderful art style. I saw an article on Rock, Paper Shotgun and had to have it.

Well worth the $8 or so that I paid. It was a lot of fun and will get replayed.
