Weird, if they aren't antisocial "like you" why don't they live their life instead of picking on you?
Number of friends over this summer to see me: 8

Number they have had over combined: 1

I'm waiting for a good moment to drop a subtle comment referring to this
DOOO EEEEEEET!!!!

Them: "You're being antisocial"
You: *mimes doing sums in head*
Them: "..."
You: Oh dear, at this rate, talking to you I might go over my social quotient for the week! You'd best go before I overdo it!

Either that or a gaming "party" might do the trick :p

"Every thing's pointless. It all just comes down to what you like to do, and not to rant on others for what they deem worth of their time, as it is a waste itself."

Does that work? A tad cold and formal, but if you can get it into a sentence, it should do the cake I think.

I like it - And a guitar hero party until 4am would make a pretty clear point :p

Put on the headphones, turn up the volume, lie back, and relax.
Or pimp slap them.

Ok, so heres the situation. I am currently living in a rented house for the summer and my internship with two girls the same age as me (21). Normally this would sound like a great deal right?! Wrong, lets just say they arn't my ....type.

Gradually they have become more annoying once the pleasentry's of meeting new people subsided. Recently they have crossed the line and begun attacking my gaming. Basically everytime I fire up some Mass effect, Red Alert 3 or some Guitar Hero on PC or Wii I get an earfull about how its anti-social, brain numbing, waste of time etc etc.

I'm pretty good at arguing with people and defending my hobbies but after 4 weeks of defending it in a grown up manner or simply ignoring them its starting to grate.

So much for the days of this being over. I thought people like this were hard to find in this day and age but luckily I stumbled across a pair of them! So Escapist's, how do you defend your hobby to others (or if it even needs defending) and any killer one liner's would be much appreciated.
Do the "SNAP" effect. Play once more in their presence then turn around and scream

"WHAT DO YOU DO THATS SO FUCKING AMAZINGLY USEFULL MS PERFECT?! DO YOU GIVE MONEY TO ORPHANS OR NURSE STRANDED BIRDS BACK TO HEALTH?! I dont follow you around telling you everything you do is a waste of time but i can bet it isnt any more usefull or fantastic than what im doing right now! What the hell gives you the right to say "HURP DERP DERP WHAT I DO IS BETTER THAN WHAT YOU DO FOR A HOBBY" I find this FUN. You know FUN?! When I ENJOY something. Not YOU. ME. I enjoy it. Emphasis on the I. I dont give a shit if you enjoy it cus guess what, YOUR not the one doing it. I am and I find it fun! Keep your own "amazing world saving" hobbies to yourself and stop jugding mine."

These people make me want to beat them to radioactive vapor. Please say words to this effect.

You could always explain how games like Super Smash Bros, MMOs, and FPS games can be a social experience with the right people.

Or you could just ignore them and play Pokemon. Whichever.

3rd option: Say they're art, get really indignant at their stupidity, and act like an elitist prick. They won't think you're a nerd anymore, but they probably won't like you.

Tell them to go rot in a ditch... Then raise the flag of the revolution. TAKE UP ARMS AGAINST THE OPPRESSORS, AND DEFEND OUR FREEDOMS AND INDEPENDENCE. WE SHALL EMERGE SUPREME.

In all seriousness, who cares what they think. Just move out and find someone who doesnt care or something.

Tell them Sex And the City is a fantasy and in real life those types are call FUKKIN SLAG DRAGONS!
Then get some sort of singstar game for the Wii and watch 'em crumble. I've yet to meet a women who doesn't think she sounds like a knackered horse on one of those.

Since they seem to have no authority over you, I'd go with the suggestion of making jokes and thus having them hit a brick wall in their mind bunkers. Or just telling them to "fuck off".

EDIT2: Did I mention they use macs and only macs. they are horrified by PCs and don't seem to understand why the world runs on windows so refuse to attempt themselves. Anger. Rising.
Don't forget: ALL Mac users go to hell. Period

Demon ID said it for me. I make jokes about. I'll be gaming and someone will walk up to me and go "Why would you play that? It's not like you're any good"

My response "You're right" *Headshot* "I'm really not huh? Maybe I should just give up on it, not like I'm going anywhere in life"

Go along with it, poke fun at it, joke about it...

EDIT: Annoyingly I don't have the option to move because of my job, money issues and lack of places to go (single flats are pricey).

I don't really understand why they are annoying you about this, it seems that you pay your rent on time (i hope), you go to your job, you have many friends over, and you have a girlfriend.

"Shut the fuck up or I'll stab you in your sleep"
Say it very casually, and it's very important that your eyes do not leave the TV while saying this.

Worked for me before!
Although go for this approach but pause the game.. Sigh.. look them straight in the eyes and say the line.

Wow, they do this to you all the time? Well if it were me, one of their Macs would be sabotaged by now; a little bit of tin foil shorting a little part of the circuit can go a looooong way.

People like that around me begin having little things going wrong in their life; the most I've done is completely destroying someone's coursework for a year, on the last day, without anyone knowing about it. But hey, that's what you get for being an unprovoked asshole to me during that time. :D

I personally don't care for playing on their level.

But with "gaming" instead of alcohol.

I would suggest picking on something "pointless" they do. If they do the whole makeup thing and heels etc pick on them about how unnatural it is and basicly pointless. Just do it for ages then remind them they are making the same argument against gaming and they hopefully might take a hint.
That is a good start.
Troll your room-mates and make fun of their mac loving ways.
Send them a virus, macs are unprotected and have no firewalls or anti-virus.

Create a poster with each of their faces on it

and make a chart that says something around the lines of:
"which agravating ***** dies first"

make sure that it shows everytime they have annoyed you and set a limit to it so they know that when they reach a certain point they will die in a horrible fashion.

..........if that doesn't shut them up I don't know what will other than actual murder.
