In Defiance of the Throne (A fantasy RP)(accepting by PM)(Started)

[Blights]

Stahn stood up and dusted himself off, he picked up his bow. He drew the string, 2 arrows appeared, he aimed and let go of it, the arrows flew into the two goblins. Piercing the armour completely. Another goblin crept up behind him, ready for an attack. Stahn heard it and ducked, the blade barely missing him. He brought up his knee to the goblins chest, winding it. He jumped away drawing another arrow.

Felix leaned against the outer wall of the library a small distance from the others, his eyes closed. It had been about a week since he'd had a good night's sleep, and he wasn't in the mood for conversation at the moment. He opened his eyes when the sound of numerous footsteps reached his ears, and saw a number of goblins advancing in their direction, and a few of the warriors of the group running to meet them. He watched the battle with interest, and was impressed by what he saw of his new allies. He raised his hands and started clapping.

 

[Tom Shadow]

"thanks for the help!" Bryyn shouted sarcastically to Felix "Nob"the last goblin ran over screaming and got about 5 swords and 6 arrows in him for his trouble. "Any one hurt?" Brryyn shouted

"Well, happy to see the others being so proactive, I didn't even need to join in." He muttered to himself, barely audible so as to stop the others from hearing.

"Only this one." Ishmial said as he motioned to Jason. "You okay? Hopefully it's not serioussince we need to be going soon. As i take it, that attack as a sign that the emperor is tired of waiting for us to move."

 

[Blights]

"Indeed, we should go somewhere low-profile. If there are less scouts in the area it would improve our chances of detection from scouts, though I'm sure the Emperor placed at least one scout in every city." Stahn said, walking towards Ishmial and Jason. "I doubt we would be able to stay there long, but enough for rest and a gear check." He paused for a few seconds. "Name's Stahn, by the way, I haven't really talked to anyone since we grouped up. Nice to meet you."

"No its nothing, little bastard caught me off guard." Jason said, sheathing his sword and looking down at his left shoulder. He sighed, ripping a small piece of cloth off his cloak and patching his shoulder up with it.

"So where do we go then?"

"Well...the way i see it, we've two options. One, we head towards the first artifact and hope that our enemies don't know the way and get there before us for an ambush, or two, we could follow Stahn's idea, go low profile for a few days and then leave for the artifact. So, which do you guy prefer..." Ishmial said, leaving the choice to them. He could guess they would all choose to go directly to the artifact but he figured it better to let them choose anyways.

"Nice to meet you too, Mines is Ishmial." Ishmial said after turning to Stahn.

 

[Czargent Sane]

"if the emperor knew nothing of our mission, he would not have sent such an immediate response. as soon as none of his goblins report back, he will probably send more troops. I vote we bide our time, and take whatever guards he sends by surprise, not the other way around."

 

[Blights]

Stahn nodded at Ishmial's introduction, then turned to Adeline. "Odds are, indeed he know's what we are doing. That means the Artifact isn't safe for us to just take. We need to do something he won't expect first, then take the artifact when our motives aren't clear to him." He sighed. "I have no idea how we would do that though, moving away would make him either defend it more in suspicion or leave it entirely."

He took out a map and looked at it. "If we moved away too far, he would notice if we came back for it way before we would reach it." He suddenly smiled. "That's it! A decoy group, right? Half of us can move further away, while a few of us stay in low profile! If we then meet up somewhere afterwards to discuss our next plan!" Stahn got excited about his newly formed plan and sat, examining his map for possible ways one group could go.

Mok'Lar spits at the ground and looks up."As much as I hate to Agree with a human, I would also like to get this over with."He said while wiping blood off his blade and placing it on his back."Well im starting now, Come if you wish" He said as he walked in the direction the map pointed to.

Jason followed in suit behind the orc, wanting to end this as soon as possible, and hopefully be first to get the sword. He held onto his shoulder as he watched, something itching inside his wound and making his shoulder tingle.

"Hey Jason you ok? You don't look good" Said Bryyn peering cautiously at the man clutching his shoulder.

"I'm fine... just a scratch." Jason said, his shoulder aching and his vision somewhat blurry.

"J'HAR! Why have the goblins not returned?" Vahn said in anger.

"They are probably dead at this point, Sire," J'har replied.

"At dawn we shall send a larger force of creatures."

"I suggest the Elves, Sire"

"Okay, At dawn release a group of elves. You decide how many but you will be punished if you fail."

 

[Jeff Gibson]

Felix looked over at the two warriors, then back at Xandus, and replied "Might as well." As a thief, he would have preferred keeping a low profile, but he was also in agreement about not splitting the force, especially going into an area that would likely be well guarded. He got up from his spot on the wall and walked after the pair.

 

[Blights]

"Sure, beats here anyway." Stahn said, he walked with the others.
