I just played fallout 3 to get all the trophys (I play on ps3. going for good charecter now). And I came to my least favorite point in the game. Vault 87. As I was going down murder pass ( I know of the oher entrence, but my charecter needs xp. Also is it weird I have time to think during a gunfight!!??) I tried to disect what it was I didnt like about that section. I eventually came to a realization. When I play games, I have a sort of "virtual clostrophobia". Whenever I play a game, Being closed off with little room just makes me feel uncomfortable(which is weird because I felt fine during the opening of the game. Its probubly because I knew I didnt have to fight anyone and evereybody was making me feel good because I was a child). I certainly dont have that condition in real life but when I play games, it suddenly kicks in. This has happend in many games ive played. The ravenholme chapter in Half life 2 didnt fase me. However, I was scared shitless for no reason when I was making my way through nova prospect (the prison).

My freind also has a form of a "virtual mental condition". When he plays games, He constantly has to buy something or take this and take that. This condition otherwise known as hording, has become more common in people (if the today show is to be beleived). No matter what it is, My freind has to have it. Like say we are playing a game with a store. Lets say were getting our ass kicked and we need better armour, but the armor is too expensive. He will immedietly buy evereything he can affored with the cash he has on hand, instead of saving up for something usefull.

Do you have anything like what I described?

You probably shouldn't play Indigo Prophecy then...

Anyways

I always tend to take meaningless objects from people whenever I can. I'm a junk collector, I guess.

I have a friend who, thanks to Legend of Zelda, has a fear of 'falling to my doom'. So you can imagine him when he reached the top pinnacles of the Pitt.

Funny you should mention that. I was recomended to buy that game a long time ago. I never did research on it but I get the gist of it. Why wouldnt I like it?

Whenever my character can't move I get really angry for some reason and start hammering my controller, which is weird as I'm calm most of the time I'm gaming..

In games where I can kill people, I always envision doing it to every single person I see. If I can brandish a weapon while looking, I do that, too.

Although, that's not really something that's confined only to games.

Your character can die. Of claustrophobia.

One of the characters has claustrophobia. And you have to go into a cramped area. Yeah.

I have a thing that if i'm playing a game and something gets the upper hand yet I win in the end I wind up attacking it's dead body while yelling random swears.

Happens alot when tanks are involed in L4D

I collect shiny most every gun, armor or piece of clothing in games like Oblivion or Fallout. Right now in fallout I have everything from Winterized T-51b to Dad's vault suit stuffed in a desk in my house.

Hmm... in games I always tend to run behind the enemy, take out my shotgun, and go on a psychotic rampage. It's rather fun once you actually get it right and become one of the unstoppable Mercs from "Army of Two".

I freak out if I can't see the enemy, or if I don't have absolute control of my vision.

I also suffer from hording... It's hell to deal with in Oblivion. I pick up everything with even the smallest of gold value and latch onto it like an overprotective mom. It's a hellish tie between greed and hording, I guess.
Well, at least I have a Bag of Holding mod to help deal with it.

I notice a slight trend towards psychopathy and a messiah complex.

I also feel the urge to jump a lot.

As for things that are exclusive to video games, well, not much. I'm rather easily immersed in games with violence and a selection of weapons.

I notice that I tend to play through games with choices beginning with my own personality and then playing again with killing sprees. I very rarely kill people in real life, so I guess that counts.

I do this as well. I have almost every wearable item and weapon in specific lockers in My Megaton House. I also have a fridge filled with all the booze, drugs and food I could possibly find in-game.

Also, I just started playing Far Cry 2, and as soon as I can "free roam" for missions, I have done nothing but grind gunshop quests so I can have every weapon from the get-go.

Collecting shiny guns is fun.

I need to get as close to danger as possible. Doesn't matter how realistic the game is, I always need to get myself in some situation where I will almost definately die. I know exactly why I do this too. Touhou gives you points for grazing bullets, y'see.

I only hoard unique items,one-of-a-kind kinda deal

in fable 2,even though I'm a good guy,and I could of bought the top hat in knothole island,I killed charles and kept his hat, simply because it was one of a kind in it's name,I do this with every game.even if it's supposed to be for selling for lots of gold,I just keep it.

I am a collecter, discoverer of rare objects, hoarder of unique things.I will get a rare item at any cost, any.
