Name: Ella Renoir

Age: 13

Gender: Female

City/Region: Snowbelle City, Kalos

Appearance: With chocolate coloured skin and dark hazel eyes, Ella stands at 5"2', and weighs in at around 115 lbs. She has delicate features, contrasted by a burning gaze that never seems to dull. Her long black curly hair is frizzy and untamed. Always seen with a large set of pink headphones, either on her head or around her neck, Ella is typically seen wearing the warmer clothes of her home town, woolly jumpers, a gilet, long skirts and thick dark tights with ankle boots.

Personality: Ella is a tenacious girl, and can be very single minded when it comes to her goals, she has a 'go all out' philosophy when it comes to most things in her life, almost bordering on recklessness. Ella is energetic, always joking, always moving, Her enthusiasm is unmatched, inspiring courage and solidarity in her Pokemon even when they appear to be outmatched. What she lacks in experience, she makes up for in indomitable spirit.

At first glance, she may seem like she overworks her pokemon, however, she never makes them work harder than she would herself, she endures the same harsh training she puts them through. As such, it is not uncommon to see her with small bruises or scrapes.

Biography: Born in Snowbelle City, Ella is accustomed to cold climates, and although she has visited several cities in Kalos, she always finds herself longing for the freezing winds of home. Her mother is from Kalos, while her father is from the Johto region. Her father a trainer himself, Ella has been taken on many journeys around the region, her father's love of Pokemon instilled into her from a very young age. Ella's first Pokemon, a Cyndaquil, was a gift from her father at the age of five and has been her constant companion ever since, very rarely being kept in his Pokeball. Leaving the city at ten with her father to tour the region, it was then that she caught her other three Pokemon. A Ralts (now Kirlia), an Eevee (now Jolteon), and a Mienfoo.

As a trainer, Ella has found that the harshness of Snowbelle City is the perfect place to train her young Pokemon, and as such, has not ventured long from her home city in the three years since returning from her tour of the region.

However, after countless hours of training and many battles with other trainers passing through her city, she now believes she is truly ready to test her skills.

Inventory:
Her father's Pokedex.

5 Pokeballs
5 Antidotes
10 Potions
5 Super Potions
2 Revives
3 Awakenings
3 Paralyze heals

Pokemon:

Matchstick the Cyndaquil. Male. Level 25. Ability: Blaze
Moveset:
Flamewheel
Flare Blitz (Eggmove) (An all or nothing kinda move, very rarely used)
Defense Curl
Quick Attack
Ember
Smokescreen

Like his trainer, Matchstick is indomitable, fiercely loyal and protective, he is Ella's best friend. His near constant exposure to the cold and harsh weather of Snowbelle has given the Pokemon an uncharacteristic fondness for it. He despises his pokeball, and will often refuse to enter it. With a fiery spirit to match Ella's, Matchtick is willing to perform great acts of recklessness to pull victory from the jaws of defeat, often risking personal injury.

Having been with Ella from a very young age, nobody can read her mood better than Matchstick, even her parents have admitted that they'd never be as close with Ella as she is with her Cyndaquil companion. Often mimicing his trainer's pyhiscal mannerisms, Matchstick will often sit on his trainer's head, and has been known to pounce plafully on Ella's parents and friends.

Despite passing the required threshold of evolution, Matchstick has no such desire to change, instead choosing to remain as his master.

Small and tenacious.

Matchstick wears a blue neck bandana with snowflake embroidery.

Serenity the Kirlia. Female. Level 22. Ability: Trace
Moveset:
Confusion
Magical Leaf
Double Team
Teleport
Lucky Chant
Shadow Ball (TM)

Serenity is Ella's dance partner, although significantly more skilled than her trainer, she cherishes her time with the girl, and is deeply attached to her.

Quite bashful, Serenity does not like being the centre of attention, and often hesitates in battle. Inspired by her trainer's fiery enthusiasm, however, and her belief in Serenity's skills, she can find confidence where she thought there was none. The Pokemon does have a breaking point, and woe betide the opponent who makes her cross that threshold.

Serenity has a small pink flower button pinned in her hair.

Blitz the Jolteon: Female. Level 23. Ability: Volt Absorb
Moveset:
Thundershock
Thunderfang
Sandattack
Helping Hand
Quick Attack
Dig (TM)

Blitz is the mischievous one of the team, often shocking random people with static electricity, or stealing food or other items that take her fancy, she appears to have a near limitless supply of energy. Somewhat of a slacker, however, she often disobeys in casual situations, opting to run tirelessly making as much ruckus as she can.

Blitz has a small red ribbon tied around the middle of her left ear.

Tai Chi the Mienfoo. Male Level 22. Ability: Regenerator
Moveset:
Fakeout
Meditate
Doubleslap
Detect
Swift
Power-up Punch (TM)

To call Tai Chi calm would be an understatement. He is the most disciplined of the group, and while Serenity is Ella's dance partner, Tai Chi is her sparring partner. Through combat with each other, they have developed a strong bond of respect. Always prepared, Tai Chi has been known to challenge Pokemon far beyond his own skill, if only to measure his own abilities and perhaps learn something new.

Both Ella and Tai Chi enjoy watching old cheesey kung fu action movies, often reinacting fight scenes for fun in crowded areas.

Tai Chi wears a long white head band, with the words 'LEGENDARY' printed in huge red capitals across the front, originally a joke gift from Ella, he has come to cherish it.

EDIT: Added slightly more info to appearance and personality, as well as adding to some of the Pokemon bios and some move changes.

Name: Cyrus Amethystein

Age: 18

Gender: Male

City/Region: Johto Region, Goldenrod City

Appearance: 5'7" with a frail, muscleless build. He has browned skin, blue eyes and medium-length black hair that gets far too much grooming attention every morning. Cyrus is always seen wearing a suit, usually a dark blue one with white pinstripes and light blue tie. He has fancy rings on his index and middle fingers on both hands, crafted from nuggets.

Personality: Equal parts pretentious and ambitious. Cyrus thinks of himself as better than most because of his upbringing and family name. Although book smart, he lacks real world experience and often gets ahead of himself. He's known to get passionate about things and refuses to back down once he's set his mind to a goal. He adores Pokemon but at the same time has a bad habitat of treating them more like possessions than friends.

Cyrus is a bit of a perfectionist who's always aiming to impress others. Pride drives him to work hard and put as much effort as he can into what he does. Sometimes he pushes himself too hard though. The most trivial things like his hair not being groomed the right way or his suit looking ruffled concern him more than they really should. Failure is one of Cyrus' greatest anxieties. He often feels burdened by the task of trying to live up to his family name.

Though lacking in battle experience, Cyrus knows a good deal about Pokemon after spending much of his teen years obsessing over them. He's escpecially interested in their extraordinary powers that they can use to help humans. He also has a basic knowledge of apricorn-crafting thanks to his father.

Biography: Cyrus was born the heir to the Amethystein Foundation, a rich family based in Goldenrod City. His father was a skilled Pokeball designer and his mother a former Silph Co executive, both of whom combined their talents and knowledge to make a fortune. Over the years, the name Amethsytein has become a popular brand in both Johto and Kanto Pokemarts, known for high quality Pokeballs among other products. It's also a name responsible for making heavy investments towards the Goldenrod-Saffron magnet train.

Compared to his parents, Cyrus himself has achieved little in life. He's spent most of his life pampered by luxury and his nose stuck in books. As a child he started suffering from severe insomnia, so his parents purchased him a Meowth capable of using Hypnosis. This helped treat the symptom and Cyrus always went to bed with Reza cuddled at his side. Since then, he became fascinated with Pokemon and spent most of his teen years pursuing the study of them. His parents refused to let him actually become a trainer, claiming that he was too young and it was dangerous. Although his father was more than happy to share his knowledge of Pokemon and apricorns with Cyrus.

Growing up, Cyrus became increasingly frustrated at his situation. People wounded his pride by insisting he was a spoiled rich boy with no talents of his own. He was also angry with the fact that his parents continued to deny him becoming a Pokemon trainer. Eventually though, a chance to step up appeared in the form of the All Region Tournament being held in his own city of Goldenrod. After much arguing, Cyrus managed to convince his parents to let him join the tournament. He now seeks to prove his worth and finally live out his desire to become a Pokemon trainer.

Inventory: Owns his own Pokegear, Pokedex and a thick briefcase to carry his various supplies:

- $4,500
- Antidote x3
- Paralyze Heal x1
- Awakening x2
- Full Heal x5
- Super Potion x5
- Moomoo Milk x2
- Luxury Balls x2
- Twisted Spoon (held by Reza)

Reza the Persian - Lvl.28 - Limber

Moves:
Psychic (TM)
Hypnosis (egg)
Taunt
Feint Attack
Fake Out
Swift

Cyrus' first Pokemon and the only one he shares a true bond with. Reza has been with his master since he was a Meowth, growing up alongside the boy. He's often seen at Cyrus' side rather than being crammed inside a Pokeball. Reza is unquestionably fond of his trainer and will obey any command given to him. He carries himself with a sense of grace, moving elegantly with his head held up high. He's an exceptionally smart creature who relies on brain over brawn in fights.

Simurgh "Simmy" the Skarmory - Lvl.23 - Keen Eye

Moves:
Flash Cannon (TM)
Drill Peck (egg)
Agility
Sand Attack
Swift
Leer

Simmy has been familiar with Cyrus since before he became his trainer. Formerly a security Pokemon used for guarding the Amethystein estate, he was given over to Cyrus for use in the tournament. Simmy isn't too fond of his new trainer but is disciplined enough to follow orders in battle. Simmy is sharp and pragmatic, willing to mix dirty tricks with brute force to achieve victory. Outside of combat, he's less a soldier and more the mischievous sort who'll peck through someone's backpack for snacks when they aren't looking. He has a love for human food, sweets especially, and prefers eating it over poffins or pokeblocks.

Darius the Donphan - Lvl.24 - Sturdy

Moves:
Sandstorm (TM)
Fire Fang
Thunder Fang
Defense Curl
Rollout
Bulldoze

Darius formerly belonged to Cyrus' father, who he claims to have caught using the first functioning Pokeball he designed. Like most of the team, he was recently given to Cyrus for the tournament. Darius is a stubborn old thing with simple desires. Normally he just sits around all day, lazing off and rolling around in the dirt. But if there's a fight brewing, that'll get Darius' blood pumping. He loves the thrill of rampaging through the battlefield and crushing everything in his way. Once he gets going, he'll only stop after someone's fainted.

Iliya the Dragonair - Lvl.30 -

Moves:
Flamethrower (TM)
Dragon Rush (egg)
Dragon Rage
Twister
Agility
Thunder Wave

The crown jewel of Cyrus' team. Iliya is rumoured to have been obtained by the Amethystein family through contacts with the Kanto Safari Zone. She has been give over to Cyrus for use in the Goldenrod tournament. Iliya dislikes her trainer, believing herself to be superior to the uppity youth. She'll often disregard commands from Cyrus and act on her on whims. She prefers an aggressive style of combat with wild, powerful attacks.

Misc: All his Pokemon are kept in Luxury Balls.

Critique/comments would be greatly appreciated. If having a Dragonair is a bit sketchy, I could downgrade to something not pseudo-legendary.

EDIT: Did some minor touch ups, particularly with his personality section.

Done updating my previous character from Pappy's rendition of this RP.
And another 2nd round alumni joins the fray. Anthony seems a bit on edge, but other than that your sheet looks great.
I changed his personality and backstory around a bit to make him less of a standoffish jerk.

Name: Haruki
Age: 23
Gender: Male
City/Region: Olivine City/Johto

Appearance: Haruki is deeply suntanned, with dark brown hair cropped short and light blue eyes peering out of his broad, prematurely lined face. He's muscular, with a sturdy build and short, thick limbs, weighing in at around 160lbs., but short, standing at only 5'6" or so. He moves with obvious ease and a modicum of grace, despite his bulk. He smiles often, showing off blindingly white teeth and good cheer, though his face is equally often set in determination, with a serious scowl or simple blank look of concentration.

Haruki doesn't unstand the words "fashion" or "style" or maybe even "clothes." Clothes to him are things to keep the sun and wind off of him, so he gives them very little thought. He dresses in pair of loose-fitting white trousers, with a loose-cut white jacket for a shirt, though he prefers to go shirtless when it's acceptable. (Though perhaps calling them "white" is a little generous. They might have been white, once, but six months of wandering and washing clothes in rivers tends to dull colors pretty fast. They might best be called gray at this point.) He carries a rugged hiker's pack stuffed with kit for camping and battle, with his Pokeballs hanging off his belt.

Personality: Haruki is an easy-going guy in most every aspect, save two: Pokemon battle and his own martial arts training. He demands a lot from his Pokemon in battle, but he demands just as much from himself, both for in-battle tactics and out-of-battle training. Outside of these two things, he's pretty content with whatever. He isn't apathetic, per se, simply content with most anything. He's equally content to sleep outside as he is to sleep in a five-star hotel, or to be alone with his Pokemon as he is to be with a crowd of people.

He has a temper, which is firmly under control in most circumstances. Indeed, his first step towards becoming a martial artist was learning to control his temper. Nowadays, it only shows up when he fails his Pokemon by giving them faulty orders that result in them being hurt, or when megalomaniacs like Team Rocket and Co. rear their ugly heads.

He's a friendly person, and likes people and Pokemon, though he is perhaps not the most talkative of people. He abhors people mistreating Pokemon, though some particularly lax trainers might view his training regimen as cruel. He doesn't see it as such, simply wants his Pokemon to be as strong as they can be.

Biography: Haruki was born to a rugged old sailor, Lee, and a pretty girl from Unova, Anne. His father left them to sail when Haruki was four, promising to come back in a few years. So most of Haruki's early memories involve only his mother working hard at the Olivine Cafe to provide for them, and avoiding any questions he asked about his father. They spent many evenings picnicking at the top of the Glitter Lighthouse, his mother staring wistfully out at the sea while they ate. Haruki grew in the wild abandon of childhood, playing in the constant sea wind, unconcerned with his mother's unwillingness to answer his questions.

Then, he was eight and it had been four years since either of them had seen Haruki's father. His mother, Anne, began to lose hope. It wasn't uncommon for sailors to just not come home. Shipwrecks, pirates, or simple unwillingness to give up the seafaring life were common. And to Haruki, the name Lee meant almost nothing, a faint smear of memory and slight warmth, unplacable and forgotten.

But come home he did. The ship sailed into harbor one foggy morning and began unloading as though nothing much had happened. By that point, Anne had long since stopped getting excited everytime a ship pulled in. The sailors straggled into the Cafe, tired and achey after a long voyage, glad to be back to land and fresh food. Anne thought nothing of it, and seved her usual breakfasts, taking orders and catcalls in stride, when she heard something and dropped her tray. Someone mentioned a "Cap'n Lee" who'd been making for Olivine for the past year or more. The sailor in question was wondering why to one of his pals, and Anne recognized him as one of the sailors from the ship that had docked that morning.

So they were reunited. The story as to how Lee became a captain was long and tangled, and Haruki never properly understood or cared. He and Lee didn't precisely see eye to eye, even as young as Haruki was. Lee thought Haruki should be more focused, working on becoming a deckhand and eventually a proper sailor. Haruki wasn't willing to give up the freedom of his childhood just yet, but the point was moot. Lee had decided to take his wife and child onto his ship with him, and train Haruki himself.

So the rest of Haruki's childhood was spent on the sea with only short stops in ports. Lee was a hard man, and Haruki worked hard to please him, but never quite managed it. So Haruki left. He hopped off the ship at Cianwood City, and immediately got beat up and robbed. He was sixteen.

An old man passed Haruki being beaten. He seemed frail, and the thugs tried to order him to leave. But the man simply twirled his cane, tossed a Pokeball, and assumed a defensive stance. The Pokemon was a Mienshao, and it and its master made short work of the thugs, barely seeming to move but throwing them like they weighed nothing. The man, who Haruki learned was one Master Xiao, took Haruki to his home and nursed him back to health before giving him a thourough scolding for being so stupid. Haruki apologized profusely, but the man was less angry and more concerned. A sixteen year old wandering the world without Pokemon? Xiao refused to let that stand, and give one of his Mienshao's children to the boy, and started training them both.

When Haruki was eighteen, Xiao decided they were well-equipped to handle the outside world, and allowed them to set off. Haruki and his Mienfoo, Akio, set off across the world. Haruki'd seen a lot of the world with his mother and father, but wanted to see the interior on foot. He wandered Johto for a bit, seeing the land of his birth in its entirity. He found himself just east of Mahagony Town, near the Ice Path, when he saw some punk beating a fish. Being confused by why someone would do that, not to mention angered, Haruki stepped in. The punk was apparently fishing for a Magikarp- Haruki didn't even both to question why- but had caught a Remoraid instead, and was apparently not happy about it. Haruki flipped the guy into the water, and offered the Remoraid a place in his small family. It accepted, allowing itself to be caught by the Pokeball, and Haruki carried it back to Mahagony and had it healed. He dubbed it Manami. Then Haruki, Akio, and their new friend Manami, set off back to wandering.

Eventually, Haruki decided he was tired of Johto. There was only so much land to cover, but there were other nations to explore. He took a ship to Hoenn first- he'd fallen in love with Slateport when he'd first been there with his family, but found it much less palateable now for whatever reason. So he wandered Hoenn for a while, but not nearly so thoroughly as he had Johto. He crossed through the Petalburg Woods when he was beset- but not by thugs, no. By a gang of Shroomish led by a Breloom, who'd apparently been disrupting travel in the area. Haruki managed not to laugh at them, and decided to take care of it. He and Akio made short work of the pseudo-gang, before the Breloom leader stepped in to fight them. The fight lasted hours, Akio and the Breloom throwing punches and counters back and forth until both Pokemon lay in an exhausted heap. Haruki lifted an eyebrow, and threw a Pokeball. The Breloom was too weak to fight against it, and thus Haruki's third Pokemon joined him, who wore a dented, rusted collar with the name Dan emblazoned on it. Haruki was twenty-one at the time.

He continued wandering, ending up back in Johto, in Olivine for a while. He stayed for a few months, not properly sure why. He took a job at the docks, and understood eventually. He was waiting for his parents, even if he didn't want to see them. His father's ship docked eventualy, and Haruki was assigned to help unload it. Anne saw him first, and swept him up in a big hug. She was older and frailer than Haruki remembered, and he was stouter and more serious than she remembered him. Haruki and Lee were still stiff around one another, however. Things had been said that could never be unsaid. But Lee was glad that Haruki was doing well, and, before they headed off back to parts unknown, he gave Haruki a gift. A Pokeball, with a single Pokemon inside. A Pawniard, a favorite of cutthroat thugs. Haruki just barely stopped himself from releasing it out into the wild. He decided he would try to teach it to be better. He was fairly confident in his ability as a trainer by this point, and was sure he could teach it to behave itself. At least, he told himself he was sure. Miyako, he named her. Then, there was four and Haruki decided to hold off on catching more until he was sure he was doing a good job training them.

A perfect opportunity to show himself if he was or wasn't training properly fell into his lap: the All-Region Tournament. He made his way to Goldenrod, training as he went- evolving his dear Manami on the way- and arriving just in time for the event... Despite having left months earlier. Haruki is not good at staying on course.

$1400 left over.

-Toxic Orb, held by Dan.

-Parlyze Heal, x2
-Full Heal, x2

Misc.
-Repel, x2
-Super Repel, x1
-Escape Rope, x2

Akio: Level 30 male Mienfoo
Ability: Regenerator
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -Sp. Atk)

Moves:
-Meditate
-Calm Mind
-Fake Out
-Force Palm
-U-Turn (TM)
-Baton Pass (Egg Move)

Steady and powerful, Akio aspires only to be as powerful as his progentior, Master Xiao's Mienshao. He's been with Haruki for going on eight years now, and they've established quite a bond over that time. Akio can mostly direct himself in battle, though Haruki occasionally has a special stratedgy in mind. As an aside- Akio and Haruki normally do their training together, and often spar, but Akio stays in his Pokeball most of the time. Haruki finds it silly to have a Pokeball and make a Pokemon walk anyways.

Manami: Level 26 female Octillery
Ability: Sniper
Nature: Modest (+Sp. Atk., -Atk.)

Moves:
-Psybeam
-Aurora Beam
-Lock-On
-Octazooka
-Surf (HM)
-Water Spout (Egg Move)

Manami is easily frightened, to put it mildly. Completely unwilling to get anywhere near her opponents, especially after the circumstances Haruki caught her in. Rather than trying to train this out of her, Haruki instead worked with her to develop a moveset that doesn't require her to be anywhere near the enemy. Since then, she's cheered up a lot, and will blast away gleefully. In battle, she lives up to her species name, providing high-power artillery with a wide variety of typings to wipe the floor with a goodly number of opponents.

Dan: Level 24 male Breloom
Ability: Poison Heal
Nature: Hasty (+Speed, -Def.)

Moves:
-Leech Seed
-Mega Drain
-Mach Punch
-Headbutt
-Swords Dance (TM)
-Focus Punch (Egg Move)

Dan's mellowed a lot in the two years since Haruki captured him. He'd been mistreated by a previous trainer and hated all humans because of it. Now, he mostly just dislikes humans, though he respects Haruki at least somewhat, given the human can keep up with Dan in a fight. Which is the only reason Dan lets himself be bossed around and trained by him- he wants to be better than Haruki or Akio.

In battle, he's prone to coming out slugging and never slowing down to listen to Haruki's strategies, which makes him something of a wildcard. But, sometimes, all you need is absolute brute force. However, that's not so much Haruki's style, so Dan is Haruki's least-used Pokemon.

Miyako: Level 25 female Pawniard
Ability: Defiant
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -Sp. Atk)

Moves:
-Torment
-Faint Attack
-Scary Face
-Metal Claw
-Hone Claws (TM)
-Psycho Cut (Egg Move)

A gift from an untrusted father, Miyako and Haruki had a rough start. Haruki had fought a few thugs who loved Pawniards, and thought they were evil for it. However, Miyako is anything but. She's determined to show Haruki that she's not a thug or evil or any of that nonsense. She's honor-bound and steadfast, if not precisely kind or gentle.

And she's taken great strides with Haruki. The group fought an Alakazam and its trainer on the way to Goldenrod, and Akio and Dan would have been knocked out entirely if not for Miyako. Since then, Haruki has been much slower to judge her, and has developed a training regimen just for her, which he'd been refusing to do- the greatest show of support he could give, given that training her to be more powerful made him directly responsible for any nefarious acts she might perpetrate.
Whew. Quite a few people have posted since I started work on this sheet, so I have no idea if there are any repeat Pokémon or what, so apologies if there are.

EDIT v5: Added Lock-On to Manami, replacing Bubblebeam, and Fake Out to Akio, replacing Swift. (Hopefully final revision.)
EDIT: Aaaand I'll work on removing all of these weird Japanese symbols. Thanks, Escapist.
EDIT v2: Think I got 'em all. Weird that accents do that inside of spoilers.
EDIT v3: Oh, by the way: how much would a Toxic Orb cost, or are they not available for purchase?
EDIT v4: Added Toxic Orb to Dan, beefed up the Petalburg section of the bio slightly, misc. word changes.

Name: Chris Cruz

Age: 21

Gender: Female

City/Region: Quest Island, Sevii Islands

Appearance:
* Height: 5' 5"
* Weight: 121 lb.
* Hair and eye color: Brown hair, grey eyes
* Misc. physical appearance: Chris has moderately tanned skin, owing to her constant time outdoors. She appears to be moderately in shape. Chris usually stands confidently, but relaxed. Her hair is cut short and rather boyishly. Her grey eyes seem to hold an unusual warmth for their color.
* Iconic clothing: Black baseball cap with a white front; amber sunglasses; light blue tank top (untucked) with a tan fishing shirt over it, with the middle left open; dark blue surf shorts with white stripes and tying strings; and dark grey water shoes with light blue mesh. She carries a brown leather pack for supply carrying.

Personality:

Chris projects a friendly demeanor toward both humans and Pokemon who do not seem obviously hostile; in this, she occasionally makes incorrect interpretations of people's motives, though not to the point of non-comedically misjudging their intentions. She tends to be a bit direct in her observations, though not intending to be forward per se... unless it would be funny, of course.

Which leads to a second point of Chris's character: she tends to find other people being messed with funny, taking some amusement of the schadenfreude variety, but not the sort to actively set up such situations (like with pranks or the like).

Chris's hobbies [aside from Pokemon training, naturally] include traveling, bird watching, fishing, and swimming. Relating to this, she isn't afraid to get a bit dirty to get things done. Her favorite color is blue, and she isn't too fond of ghosts.

In combat, Chris favors tactics to hinder opponents while wearing their health down. Chris's Pokemon seem somewhat more competitive than her, but she does enjoy battling.

Biography:

Chris was born and raised on Sevii's Quest Island by her two parents [her father was a fisherman and her mother a Pokemon research hobbyist], though she would often go to the other islands as Chris was always fond of going places; she even often got in trouble for wandering off. She was quite the tomboy when younger, and enjoyed fishing with her father. When she was a bit older, Chris also grew to like her mother's research, and was overjoyed when she was old enough to begin Pokemon training of her own.
Chris's first Pokemon was Cyclone, who met her when they both were young. Chris noticed a young runt of a Skarmory near her home and would sneak him food and watch him try to fly around. When Chris was old enough, her mother gave her Pokeballs and Cyclone happily became her first Pokemon.
Chris next caught Swirly, a Poliwag who she'd encountered while fishing on Fortune Island. When she accidentally reeled her in, Chris was momentarily distracted by the swirl before catching her after a long battle; this led to the nickname, as it was all Chris could think
to name the Poliwag, despite her valiant performance. Swirly seemed to like the name, however, so all was well.
Soon after this, Chris bought a ticket to the Kanto mainland to begin her travels as an independent Pokemon trainer.
While she was in Kanto, Chris traveled to Diglett Cave and encountered a shy Diglett. Panicked and unable to flee, the Diglett's combat instincts kicked in, preventing Chris from fleeing. Chris could see the Pokemon's distress and tried to not hurt it, capturing it and offering it a pair of BlackGlasses to make it feel better, naming him Rocky.
After getting Rocky acclimated, Chris heard word of the tournament in Goldenrod, and naturally she decided to enter.

Dugtrio, Level 28.
Nickname: Rocky
Gender: Male
Movelist:
* Sand Attack

Personality: A shy Pokemon, Rocky will nonetheless readily come to the aid of his trainer (especially with his glasses on).

Notes: Wears BlackGlasses, originally a gift from Chris to try and boost his confidence.

Here's my character, hope you like him! Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to change.

Name: Taylor Fernando

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Hometown: Mauville City (Hoenn)

Appearance: 5'8" and 170 pounds, Taylor is a bit stocky for a fully grown man. Though he has a bit of a belly, he has a good deal of muscle to him. Tracy has light brown skin and wavy black hair that he keeps cropped close to his head and styled in a classic pompadour fashion. His face is rather round, and might look too small for his head, if it weren't for the presence of his well groomed beard, which he cuts even shorter than his hair. His eyes are a deep, dark brown, almost black. His wardrobe consists of mainly light, khaki clothes, with the occasional cotton T-shirt and pair of jeans, always accompanied by an aging, military green backpack passed down by his father.

Personality: Taylor is a naturally inquisitive workaholic. He is always eager to learn something new, and finds nothing more repulsive than sitting around doing nothing. He can be a bit overbearing and off putting to the people around him, but he never means any ill will to others, unless they are endeavoring to destroy knowledge. Taylor sees Pokémon as subjects of study, rather than friends. He loves Pokémon, but as a researcher, not a true trainer.

Bio: Though born in Nimbassa City of far off Unova, Taylor has known Hoenn as his home since he was five years old. He was always smaller than kids of his own age, and thus on the receiving end of a fair bit of bullying in his youth. This inspired Taylor to learn to stand up to his bullies, and began his life-long quest for knowledge. He studied four different forms of martial arts, and before long his small size was a subject of praise rather than mockery, as he was able to bring down people a foot taller than him by the time he was twelve. He then took to studying new topics in his free time, dabbling in cooking, sewing, knitting, building, and of course, as a good citizen of Mauville City, electrical wiring. While certainly no expert in any field in particular, Taylor made it a point in his life to waste no time in learning as much as he could.

It wasn't long before Taylor turned his eyes to Pokémon. On his seventeenth birthday, he came across an Azurill that had been abandoned by its mother, despite it being a healthy, normal size. Fascinated by the little creature, Taylor took it home with him, and studied it day and night, it's cry, size, behavior, and physiology. Taylor had never loved a subject as much as Pokémon biology, and decided that he was going to spend the rest of his life studying these fascinating creatures as a Pokémon professor. He began making routine expeditions to the north of Mauville with Watson the Azurill in tow. It was not long before a Numel in the area began to follow Taylor around, thanks to him providing a reliable source of food. After a few weeks of this practice, the Numel had finally followed Taylor all the way home, and became an addition to his motley crew.

Taylor had taken a particular interest in the desert on Hoenn's route 111, and acquired a pair of Go-Goggles so he could more easily study there. On one of his deepest excursions into the sandy wasteland, he discovered a fossil of now extinct Pokémon. In an effort to learn more about it, he took it to Hoenn's resident Pokémon professor, Birch. There he explained his dreams of becoming a professor. Birch then provided Taylor with a Pokédex and directed him to Rustboro City, where the employees at Devon Corporation were able to turn his fossil into a living, breathing Anorith.

Taylor returned to Mauville and resumed his studies with the assistance of Watson, Currie the Numel, and Darwin the Anorith. When word of the All Region Tournament reached Mauville, Taylor jumped at the opportunity to see and study Pokémon from all different regions in one place. He jumped on the next boat from Slateport to Golenrod with his team of three at his back.

Alright! Been working on this for most of today, and I think it's finally done.

Name: Grace Heller

Age: 19

Gender: Girl

City/Region: Violet City, Johto

Appearance: Standing at just under 5'6" and weighing roughly 120 lbs, Grace isn't exactly what you'd call intimidating. Though years spent wandering around in the great outdoors have given her a decent tan and a modest amount of muscle, the girl's slouching posture and generally meek air make her seem like she's often the smallest person in a room. Her dirty blonde hair is long enough to fall halfway down her back, and is styled so that it curls up at the end, and her bangs fall just short of covering her ice-blue eyes.

Whenever she finds herself around large crowds of people, Grace forces an uncomfortable half-smile onto her face, though the expression typically fails to convince anybody of its sincerity. The young woman's eyes, though sharp and clever, are normally downcast, refusing or unable to make contact with anyone else's.

Normally dressed in a well-worn pair of jeans, a plain t-shirt, and a windbreaker, Grace doesn't really bother to keep up with fashion trends and the like, preferring instead to stick with the routine and familiar. She also wears a wide-brimmed hat and a necklace with a pewter Unown hanging from it, a souvenir from the Ruins of Alph that somehow became part of her everyday attire. Like most trainers, she wears her Pok&#233balls on her belt and carries most of her gear around in a backpack.

Personality: It's easily apparent that Grace is a rather timid individual, almost painfully so. Soft spoken to a fault, the girl struggles to make an impact in any sort of social gathering, and often finds herself interrupted or simply not noticed by the people around her. Recognizing that this isn't exactly the best way to live, Grace's resolved to better herself by interacting with more and more people, but... It's been a long, bumpy road so far, and things don't exactly look like they're going to get any easier for the poor kid.

Still, despite her crippling inability to operate properly around people, Grace tries her best to be a decent person. If she thinks there's something she can do to help someone, she'll offer her aid in a heartbeat. Or, you know, however long it takes her to actually string a few sentences together. And while social situations are her kryptonite, the girl has a pretty decent head on her shoulders, and has faced more than her share of dangers in the wilderness. She's learned first hand just how important resourcefulness and creativity are when it comes to Pok&#233mon training. However, that doesn't mean that she's always able to stand and fight; if she thinks that the best course of action is to retreat, she'll do so instantly.

Finally, when it comes to Pok&#233mon, Grace's almost an entirely different person. Armed with plenty of experience, some first-hand, some handed down from her parents, the lass knows her way around most of the species native to Johto, and even a few from other regions. There are few things Grace enjoys more than finding a new Pok&#233mon to marvel at, and she's surprisingly competent when it comes to battling wild critters. When it comes to her own team, she treats his Pok&#233mon more like they're siblings than anything else.

Biography: Born in Mahogany Town, Johto, Grace spent most of her childhood growing up in the small town on the Lake of Rage. She made friends with the other kids, went fishing for Magikarp with her family, explored the freezing (and annoying) Ice Path, and got up to all sorts of shenanigans that only little kids can. She enjoyed her life there, and, like most children, assumed that nothing about it would ever change.

So, needless to say, when her dad died, she was pretty shaken up. And her issues were only further compounded when she and her mom, Jessica, moved to Violet City to be near her mother's family, leaving her friends and the rest of her emotional stability behind. Barely 8 at the time, Grace had a lot of trouble adjusting to her new life, and ended up retreating inside herself, trying to hide her feelings from anybody else. Sure, she went to school, did her chores, and fulfilled all her other responsibilities, but that was it. Friends and fun kind of fell by the wayside for her.

When Jessica eventually remarried, she and Grace's new step-father, Nathan took the girl on a family trip to Hoenn, hoping that a change of scenery would shake her out of her funk. And when that failed, Nathan paid a visit to an old friend of his, one Professor Birch...

So, when the family finally made it back to Johto, Grace's parents had a surprise for her: A Treecko, that she would be in charge of caring for and raising. As would be expected, this paid off big time, and Grace quickly fell in love with her new Pok&#233mon. Though she still had trouble connecting with people, the young girl threw herself headfirst into Pok&#233mon training, dreaming of one day being the region champ.

Years passed by, and Grace grew up. Now that she's almost 20, she believes that she and her Pok&#233mon are ready for the big leagues. With the tournament in Goldenrod City coming up, she figures that trying her talents out there would be a good first step. Even if that means traveling to one of the most populated places in all of Johto. Which is even more packed than usual thanks to all the tourists and foreign trainers making their way there for the tournament.

...Oh dear.

$3,850

Pok&#233mon:

Sasaki: Grovyle, lvl 30, Male
Ability: Overgrow

Absorb
Quick Attack
Pursuit
Fury Cutter
Leaf Blade
Tsubame Gaeshi (TM)

Grace's first, most loyal, and hardheaded Pok&#233mon, Sasaki is the strongest member of Grace's team, and boy does he know it. Though the Grass-type is usually more than content to simply sit back and take things easy, if he feels like he, his trainer, or his fellow teammates are being insulted, he'll spring into battle in an instant. Fiercely proud of his godlike speed, Sasaki's usual tactics involve throwing enough attacks at an opponent that they're guaranteed to be hit by at least one of them. He has also appointed himself Grace's "life coach" trying to make sure she stands up for herself when she's being particularly timid.

As of now, he stands about a foot shorter than his trainer, and he can normally be found chewing on some leaf, stem, or piece of grass. Oddly, the leaves growing from his arms and forehead are stripped red and green.

---------------------------------------

Ditzy: Quagsire, lvl 26, Female
Ability: Water Absorb

Water Gun
Mud Shot
Slam
Mud Bomb
Amnesia
Ice Beam (TM)

One of Grace's more colorful Pok&#233mon, Ditzy is a little... well, ditzy. To Sasaki's occasional annoyance, the Quagsire is carefree to a fault, and is apparently unable to muster the slightest hint of aggression.

Despite her unintentionally goofy demeanor, Ditzy can be quite clever when she focuses on something. If only she wasn't so easily distracted by shiny objects. Or things that smell nice. Or interesting sounds. Or... Well, you see where this is going. The word "unfriendly" doesn't exist in Ditzy's vocabulary; she almost always carries herself with a cheery, bubbly air.

-----------------------------------------

Terrycloth "Terry": Umbreon, lvl 27, Male
Ability: Synchronize

Quick Attack
Bite
Confuse Ray
Feint Attack
Detect (Egg)
Dark Pulse (TM)

The calm, collected member of Grace's team, Terry constantly carries himself with composure and, no pun intended, grace. He believes that he's above antics like those Sasaki and Ditzy get themselves into; after all, someone in this group has to be the sensible one. However, despite his almost regal air, Terry has this one spot under his chin, that if you scratch juuuuuuust right, will turn him into putty in your hands. Grace only resorts to using this drastic method during times of emergency. Or whenever she feels like Terry's getting a little too high and mighty.

Terry has been named for the softness of his fur, which hasn't changed from when Grace received him as an Eevee.

Comments and criticism are welcome.

Name: Chris Cruz

Age: 21

Gender: Female

City/Region: Quest Island, Sevii Islands

Appearance:
* Height: 5' 5"
* Weight: 121 lb.

It's late, so I might be misjudging it severely, but I am satisfied with what I have for now. Feel free to criticize and mock my entry. :p

Edit: I see the error in my inventory calculations, edited. I can't math well late at night. Might need to reexamine that when my brain works.

Edit 2: I think this reworked list should do.

And here we go.

Name: David "Dave" Itosu

Age: 19

Gender: Boy

City/Region: Saffron City, Kanto

Appearance: Dave is slight young man of mixed white/east Asian decent. He stands some 5'5'' tall with thin limbs that none the less have some tone to them. This frame is usually covered by a green flannel shirt left open to show whatever t-shirt lies beneath and boardshorts with a stylized red and black flame pattern. Dave's broad head is topped with spiked frosted hair, and he is prone to leave his dark eyes covered by slim mirrored sunglasses fitted to his head.
In short he looks utterly and fantastically lame.

Personality: Confident, witty, capable and, above all, cool is what Dave continually strives to be. He is not succeeding. Dave is in fact rather painfully average in most regards, neither being as smart or competent a trainer as he likes to pretend. He will talk big (oh boy, will he ever) in an attempt to win the admiration of others, but his win/loss ratio is truthfully quite abysmal, mostly due to the fact that his constant bragging inevitably brings out more experienced trainers eager to show the annoying little upstart his place in the pecking order. The only reason Dave has gotten to where he is now is because the guy doesn't know when to quit. His team has learned much from the constant beatings even though the trainer hasn't.
This being said, Dave can be a pretty decent guy. The self doubt that leads to his need for approval from strangers also makes him quite sympathetic towards others.

Biography: Dave was born the youngest son to the top student of Saffron City's Fighting Dojo. When said dojo lost its Gym status to Sabrina's Physic-type school, and its founder, the eponymous Karate King, moved on to other projects Dave's father was left in charge of the now somewhat ill reputed dojo. While he managed to regain some respectability to the dojo in the subsequent years, young Dave never really recovered from those dark days. Growing up with his father and the Karate King as idols Dave's whole worldview was upended when they were trounced by Sabrina. However, instead of this being the end of his childhood innocence Dave simply found new idols to worship. He rebelled against his father, declaring both him and the dojo master "big dumb dumdums", and instead found surrogate father figures in Kanto's gym leaders. Many a day was spent watching old reruns of League battles, all the while skipping out on karate class. Three leaders in particular became the objects of Dave's obsessive fanboyish love: Vermillion's Lt. Surge, Cinnabar's Blaine, and the Elite Four's Lorelai. His infatuation with these three runs so deep that he has modeled his own team after theirs; utterly unable to choose between his fandoms he now uses Fire, Ice and Electric types. As soon as he was old enough Dave ran away from home to catch the pokemon that would make up his current party. But these couldn't just be any old pokemon. They had to be the same kind as key members from his three idols' teams. And so, with no small amount of effort, Ponyta (for Blaine's Rapidash), Pikachu (for Surge's Raichu), and Shellder (for Lorelai's Cloyster) were caught. Dave was occupied with the agonizing choice of whether to apply for membership at Blaine's or Surge's gym when he heard about the Goldenrod Tournament. A tournament he was eligible for? Where he could win the admiration of thousands and (dared he dream it?), maybe even that of one of his idols? He's not going to pass up this opportunity. Fame and fortune awaits!

Inventory:

5 x Hyper Potions
3 x Super Potions
5 x Full Heal
10 x Pokeball
1 x Premier Ball
1 x Ultra Ball
1 x Dusk Ball
3 x Revive

A backpack full of essentials.

$1200

Pokemon:

Hitmonchan, Lvl 29 MALE
Ability: Iron Fist

-Mach Punch
-Power-Up Punch (TM)
-Revenge
-Pursuit
-Bullet Punch
-Feint

Hitmonchan is Dave's first pokemon which he received from his father at a very early age. Although inseparable when young, today the Fighting-type just reminds him of why he left home. There is also the uncomfortable fact that Hitmonchan really doesn't fit in with his trainer's reinvention of himself. None of Dave's three idols use a Hitmonchan and he has privately considered benching him in the PC, or even releasing him. Dave can't bring himself to do so, although he's sure that he must eventually.
Hitmonchan himself is loyal to a fault, but he can sense the awkward air between the two. It hasn't escaped him that he is seeing less and less time outside his pokeball.

Ponyta, Lvl 25 FEMALE
Ability: Flash Fire

-Stomp
-Flame Wheel
-Flame Charge
-Fire Spin
-Wild Charge (TM)
-Morning Sun (egg)

Ponyta is a sensitive soul and can see that all is not right within the party. Although she quite likes Dave she doesn't find the boy's obsessions healthy, and is bothered by the deteriorating relationship between her trainer and Hitmonchan. Still, she's unsure what to do about this or if doing anything at all would be overstepping a boundary.

Shellder, Lvl 25 MALE
Ability: Skill Link

-Icicle Spear
-Withdraw
-Protect
-Clamp
-Tackle
-Rock Blast (egg)

Shellder is ludicrously naive and shares Dave's dreams completely. He is utterly caught up in his trainer's excitement about the Kanto Gym leaders, believes fully that he too will someday be a champion pokemon, and has even developed a fanboy crush on Lorelai's Cloyster.

Pikachu, Lvl 25 FEMALE
Ability: Static

-Thunder Shock
-Quick Attack
-Double Team
-Thunder Wave
-Volt Switch (TM)
-Growl

Pikachu does not fu*k around. She had a good thing going in Viridian Forest when this frosty haired jackass came along and caught her, and now she's being carried along for a literal ego trip; forced to fight in some tournament so that this kid can avoid his daddy issues for one more day. Oy vey. Pikachu dreams of being released along with Hitmonchan. Anything to get away from this insufferable idiot.

Wow, the infamous Daystar Clarion? In MY RP? I'm flattered. It's a great sheet, too. A bit young, considering the scope of the adventure, but then again. Pokémon.

While the sheet itself is alright, my main concern would be your writing. Lots of walls of text with very little in the way of punctuation. Makes your stuff kind of hard to read. Maybe see what you can do about that?

Seeing as you're the co-GM this sheet would be in either way. It's a great sheet, though.

This one's great. Very strong contender.

Gonna be straight with you here: I hate this. And with good reason. This is going to be a group of people going on (what I hope will be) a massive journey together. Having someone in that group who's utterly unlikable (your words) like your character is just a train wreck begging to happen. I can appreciate characters having different personalities, but this one takes it a smidge too far. As it is, gonna have to say no to this one. Sorry.

Deu Sex said:
Which brings me to this sheet. My first run had a similar character who, while not as deliberate with his "holier-than-thou" tendencies, managed to attract a lot of flak from his financially challenged and somewhat more humble peers.

I'm not saying that your sheet needs a complete makeover to have a chance of making the cut, just that you should be aware that making friends might be an uphill battle, should Cyrus become a member of the cast.

As for the Dragonair, I guess he has a valid enough reason to own one, seeing as he shits money an' all, so for now I'll go with it.

[hr]

Right. With that out of the way, on to some timetable/sheet acceptance stuff. As always, Pokémon seems to be a VERY popular theme for an RP, as evidenced by the sheer amount of sheets we've been flooded with.

To have a nice solid cast, while trying to avoid overworking both myself and my co-GM Pappytech, we've set the player cap at 9. That's me, Pappy and 7 more sheets. I might consider rounding that number up to 10 if there's a sheet I just HAVE to have, but I'm very cautious about doing so.

As for the timetable, we've decided to wait until Wednesday this week to close submissions. For reference, it is now 00:12, Tuesday where I live.

Last but not least. Skype. I cannot stress enough how much of OOC banter and info is going to be via Skype. So much so, that I won't be making a User Group for this. If you're accepted, please consider getting this free service, if you haven't got it already. Otherwise, you'll just have to contact me via PM to get your questions answered.

I hope the fact I'm a lurker on these forums does not count against me, though I shall understand if it does.

Name: Joseph Attenborough

Age: 19

Gender: Male

City/Region: Route 39, Johto

Appearance: Just under six foot tall, Joseph has a slender build. Despite several attempts at combing throughout each and every morning, his dark brown hair often ends up rather unkempt by the end of the day. He suffers from a lack of facial hair, often joking that he only shaves once a fortnight, "and even then, I only need to face the wind and let the fuzz blow away". His once smart white shirt now remains permanently crumpled, which is often half tucked in to his a pair of black jeans, which are dotted with small holes and fractures where tools and specimens alike have pierced them. His dust encrusted boots have been worn away through years of unintentional abuse, with one missing it's tongue, and the other missing half it's sole.

Personality: Having grown up with a large and friendly family, Jospeh never learned how to become good friends with people. Whilst he was never a loner at school - always having 'chums' to spend time with at school - he never learned how to go the extra mile with them, and do things such as visit their houses, or meet up with them outside of school, nor could he tell you any close, personal details about them, having never attempted to know them better. As such, some view him as reclusive, or a loner, but he is quite sociable.

His somewhat reclusive behaviour subsided during his sabbatical at the Ruins of Alph, as he bonded and befriend both his fellow students and his tutors. Unfortunately, whilst he's learned to have friends, he's not learned how to make them, having been somewhat coerced into his Ruins of Alph friendships by virtue of sleeping one tent away from them for several months.

He sustained some minor bullying in his childhood, in part for his lack of weight, and as such, has developed a self-deprecating sense of humour.

Biography: Joseph grew up on a ranch along route 39, just north of Olivine City, with his immediate and extended family. From an early age, Joseph's been fascinated with history, both prehistoric and human, ever since his grandfather gave him a few fossil fragments he found when he was a child. Often spending hours at a time reading articles on everything from the legend of the Regis, to breakthroughs in the technology of cloning extinct animals, Joseph quickly realised that as much as he loved his childhood on the Ranch, it was not where his future lay. His interest led him to pursue a career in archaeology, starting from when he studied extra curricular activities, which in turn lead to him studying it at University. After his first year, he successfully applied for a term-long sabbatical at the Ruins of Alph. Joseph houses many aspirations, such as one day visiting the Abyssal Ruins of Unova, joining an expedition to track down the fabled Heatran, seeing a living Relicanth, and partaking in a fossil finding mission to Orre.

Having completed said sabbatical, he's taken the Magnet Train to Goldenrod, and will soon head home for the holidays.

As you may of noticed, he isn't really a trainer, and isn't here for the tournament. Is it okay for him to tag along, in an almost Brock-like capacity, helping out where he can despite not being a trainer?

Inventory:
Tent
Archaeological equipment (e.g Brushes, Trowel, etc)
Fossil fragments
Safety helmet (with detachable torch)
5 Escape ropes
3 Pokeballs
1 Great Ball
5 Potions
2 Super Potions

Pokémon:
Granbull, "Snubbs", Male, Level 28
Intimidate
- Tackle
- Scary Face
- Ice Fang
- Lick
- Headbutt
- Roar
Having been together for nearly a decade, Snubbs (a Snubbull at the time) was gifted to him at the age of ten. The duo became fast friends, but Joseph endured some minor bullying at school for having a 'girly' Pokemon. After enduring several years of the taunts, Joseph challenged one bully to a trainer battle, wherein Snubbs one, and evolved. Snubbs enjoys helping out where he can, often acting as a guard when on the ranch, and helps carry equipment on digs, one of the few times he'll happily become bipedal; unlike most of his species, Snubbs chooses to walk mostly on all fours.

Dwebble, "Chell", Female, Level 20
-Rock Blast
-Withdraw
-Sand Attack
-Feint Attack
-Smack Down
-Rock Polish
During an archaeological dig near the Ruins of Alph, several of his colleagues noticed that several piles of rocks would seemingly move around the site, yet no one owned up to transporting them. One colleague remained adamant that she moved the same distinct rock three times from the same spot. When attempting to brush a rock, it suddenly sprouted legs, and a pair of eyes followed. One of Joseph's more well travelled tutors informed him it was a Dwebble, a Pokemon rarely found in Johto. Joseph attempted to release it back with it's fellow kind, but the Dwebble kept following him around the digsite, until one night it followed him back to his campsite, wherein Joseph added it to his team. Quite shy, 'Chell' - like Joseph's other Pokemon - is mostly kept out of his Pokeball, but chooses to remain in it's shell, which is often found in Joseph's pocket, or a pouch on his backpack.

Understood. I like writing characters who are a bit challenging to play as, but I also recognize the danger that character drama can pose to an RP and would prefer to avoid it too.

Also touched up my sheet a little, specifically around the personality section.

Name: Benjamin Creed

Age: 19

Gender: Male

City/Region: Celestic Town, Sinnoh Region

Appearance: Ben's amber eyes are ever alight with a burning spirit, and are often the first thing people are drawn to when looking at him. He's about 6 or so feet tall, topped with wild hair a deep shade of auburn. He's grown somewhat fit from his travels, and weighs in at a comfortable 180-ish pounds. Ben prefers to wear a hat, deeming it an essential item of the modern hero, and often dons a white jacket with stylized blue flames dancing around the edges of and up its back, based on Reshiram and the Hero of Truth. Everything else is fairly practical day to day wear, with tough, worn sneakers that likely have dirt gathered from all over Sinnoh's soil.

Personality: Upbeat and constantly chasing a challenge, Ben has been racing across Sinnoh, ever training in preparation of a match against his greatest rival, Alan. He's yet to notice that Alan doesn't see him this way at all. Ben idolizes heroics and ancient heroes, having learned all the tales growing up. He is a remarkable memory for them, able to recite most of them at heart. Don't ask to hear about any of the others he was told, though, as they are spotty at best. Still, there is nothing he likes better than to sit around a campfire and regale his audience with the story of of the battle between the Heroes of Truth and Ideals and the great dragons, or the wars fought by the kings of Kalos. He enjoys modern stories of heroes too, particularly Pokemon Champions, adding in a little extra "truth" where he doesn't know the whole story.

Biography: Ben grew up in the far away town of Celeste, which did not bother him at all as a child. He grew up reading stories of heroes of long ago, and it mattered little to him whether or not they were real. These stories shaped his view of the world, and in his eyes becoming just like them was his only path. As such, the day he was to receive his Pokemon was much awaited. However, his tenth birthday came and went, and then his next, and his next, and still he had no Pokemon of his own. His town was too tiny to cater to trainers, and there were no Pokemarts nearby to catch his own Pokemon in. He was 16 by the time the region's Champion came back home to see her family, and Ben, now 16, begged her to take him to Professor Rowan. Sinnoh's champion complied, and it was because of this that he received his Pokemon at around the same time as Alan. Seeing his peer grab the water type to defeat his fire (as he saw it, at least), Ben knew he'd found his path to his destiny. Before him was his rival, something every hero needed in order to succeed. He challenged the boy on the spot, and though the resulting battle concluded in a draw, he felt as he'd had the greatest victory in his young life.

From that day on, Ben's fire was lit. He tore out of Twinleaf, eager to grow strong as quickly as possible. He challenged a few gyms along the way, but what he looked forward to most was his fights with Alan, as they truly let him gauge his strength and show him he is on the path to Champion. To this aim, he has followed Alan all the way to Johto for the tourney. Besting the other trainers and winning the prize is a bonus.

Pokemon-

Monferno "Hideyoshi", Lv 30 MALE
Ability: Blaze
-Mach Punch
-U-turn (TM)
-Taunt
-Flame Wheel
-Thunder Punch (EGG)
-Feint

Ben and Hideyoshi, share the same firey spirit, and with the two of them it is often monkey see, monkey do. Sometimes it's the monkey who is in the lead, however. Hideyoshi is the first Pokemon Ben ever acquired, naming after one of the legendary Warlords of a land he wasn't quite sure was real. Ever since, the two shared the same goal: To become Champions, to become heroes, and overall, to defeat Alan and Windsor. His flames burn brighter with their combined fighting spirit.

Gligar "Bugbear", Lv 25 FEMALE
Ability: Sand Veil
-Knock Off
-Acrobatics
-Sand Attack
-Earthquake (TM)
-Quick Attack
-Fury Cutter

Bugbear attacked Ben and Hideyoshi right after a scuffle with a Hippowdon, taking advantage of the roaring sandstorm to dive in and out of view. The hit and run tactics were effective, but the level difference made her more of an annoyance than a difficult opponent. Still, the courage she showed by taking them on inspired Ben, and he knew he just had to have her. After a few wasted poke balls and a lucky (and accidental) toss, Bugbear became a member of the team.

Rotom "Rotato" Lv 25 GENDERLESS
Ability: Levitate
-Thunder Wave
-Confuse Ray
-Uproar
-Volt Switch
-Double Team
-Shock Wave

Rotato was added to the party after the crew spent the night in an Old Chateau to prove their bravery. It turned into a long term scuffle with the Ghastly residents, none of which caught his eye. However, the playful little eletric spirit did, as it possessed numerous objects and chased him around the house. One sleepless night later, as the fingers of dawn broke through the dusty windows, Rotato was caught with a resounding click. Moments later, Ben had scooped up the Pokeball and sprinted out of the house, proclaiming his bravery with peeks over his shoulder.

Name: Alan Galen

Age: 19

Gender: Male

City/Region: Hearthome City/Sinnoh

Appearance: Slightly shorter than average, about 5'8", and slim, Alan doesn't cut what most people would call an "impressive figure" not that he particularly notices. His hair is muted blonde, and curly, and generally unkempt. He has green eyes behind thick glasses, which make his eyes seem bigger. Combined with his tendency to stare straight ahead, unblinking, at times, they tend to remind people of an owl, or an alien. Alan has a fondness for long sleeve shirts in cooler colors, and wears them in conjunction with a light brown sports jacket and jeans. This is the same outfit he's been wearing every day for as long as he can remember, surprisingly enough.

Personality: Generally absent-minded and aloof, no one is ever quite certain what Alan is going to do, or where he's going to go. He tends to think deeply about things, to the point of distraction, which often leads to him winding up far off his original path. Despite this, he's genuinely intelligent, and capable when his head isn't in the clouds. He's quickly taken up in fascination for some minor flight of fancy, or excitement of some kind, though generally comes back when needed. Tends to be inadvertently rude or callous due to his absent mindedness, but is overall not a bad guy.

Biography: Alan didn't set out on his Pokemon adventure when he was ten. Nor did he when he was eleven, or twelve, or any of the typical years young people like him set out for adventure. While fascinated about Pokemon, Alan didn't necessarily feel the need to go out into the field just yet. He took his time, and his parents encouraged him to at least finish high school before considering going out.

It was sensible enough, but somewhat...unfulfilling. Alan had had a deep curiosity with Pokemon for years, ever since he was young. The trainers, with their smart teams of battle-hardened Pokemon would often come through Hearthome, practicing around town, fighting for a chance to take down the city's gym leader. There was a certain dash about these people, a certain shine to them. Perhaps it was just the fact that they were out in the world, catching Pokemon and seeing great sights, while he was stuck in Hearthome.

Overall, Alan couldn't much complain about his life. His parents held steady jobs, they were hardly wanting, it just seemed...unsatisfying. There was a world out there, and he wanted to be a part of it. Nonetheless, he was fairly pragmatic, and could see the sense in waiting a bit before starting out, even if some of his friends had left long ago.

While he waited until he was ready, Alan took on an internship with the Pokemon research branch. It helped him satisfy his curiosities about Pokemon, at least in the short-term. He did data sorting, editing for PokeDex entries, and even some occasional field work, albeit under close guidance. It was out in the fields, lost in his thoughts, and around wild Pokemon that Alan felt at peace.

At sixteen, Alan told his parents he was leaving. He had already let enough time pass him by. There was only so great a window to go out there, to see the world, and he had to take advantage of it while he could. His parents were still apprehensive about this though. They didn't think that their son was ready, that he was rushing into things, that he should wait just a little bit longer, but he was determined.

The next day he set out for Professor Rowan's lab to get his first Pokemon. While there, Alan met up with another young trainer, about his own age: Ben Creed.

Ben arrived before Alan, and got to pick first, choosing Rowan's Chimchar. Alan, fairly oblivious to this, picked Piplup up right after. He was surprised when, immediately after that, Ben challenged him to a battle. It was a close fight that ultimately ended in a tie.

After healing up his new Piplup, Alan named him Windsor and began his travels across Sinnoh. Travels which, ultimately, took him to Johto's Godenrod City, and the All Region Tournament, to try his hand to place at the top of the trainers in the nation.

Inventory:

3 Revives (4500)
4 Super Potions (2800)
3 Great Balls (1800)
1 Ultra Ball (1200)
1 Reaper Cloth (5000)

Change: 4700

Pokemon:

Prinlup- Windsor, Level 30 Male

Moves:
Bubble Beam
Metal Claw
Peck
Ice Beam (TM)
Hydro Pump (Egg)
Bide

Windsor is the leader of Alan's team. The self-appointed leader, that is. Being a Prinlup, he's taken with himself. While out, Prinlup takes care to set an example to the other members of the team, imposing on them his importance. He's even taken to keeping his absent-minded trainer on task too. It's fair to say that Windsor leads his trainer around about as much as Alan leads him.

Duskull- Poe, Level 28 Female

Moves:
Confuse Ray
Nightshade
Pursuit
Shadow Sneak
Pain Split (Egg)
Psychic (TM)

Alan managed to catch Poe during his travels through Sinnoh. He, very nearly literally, tripped over it while walking along Route 224. Despite this, Alan didn't notice the Pokemon until it invaded his camp that evening, two hours later. After a brief battle with Windsor, Alan managed to catch the ghost before setting down for the night. Named after one of Alan's favorite authors, Poe has a certain curious nature, matched only by her mischievousness. She's taken to drifting about the area when released from her pokeball, trying to sneak up on anyone, particularly anyone in Alan's team, and most especially her trainer.

Scyther- Lance, Level 26 Male

Moves:
Fury Cutter
Pursuit
Wing Attack
Vacuum Wave
Night Slash (Egg)
U Turn (TM)

Alan was walking about with Windsor, trying to make his way through to Celestic Town. On his way there, he, unfortunately, drew the attention of a hunting Scyther. Windsor, as usual, was making no secret of his belief in his own superiority. The nearby Scyther began tailing the pair, sensing the insult dripping off Windsor, until they came to a place he deemed fit to fight. Before Alan knew it, Scyther and Windsor were battling, and he quickly joined the fray, helping Windsor defeat his foe. After a long battle, Alan and Windsor managed to defeat the Scyther who, for irony's sake, Alan named Lance. A quiet and reserved type, Lance has grown accustomed to his trainer's...eccentricities, and respects him, having seen that in combat, Alan is no slouch. He still harbors a grudge against Windsor for besting him, and vows to defeat the Prinlup one day.

Kirlia- Aaron, Level 25, Male

Moves:
Double Team
Confusion
Magical Leaf
Heal Pulse
Thunderbolt (TM)
Shadow Sneak (Egg)

Alan first met Aaron when he was a young Ralts, lost, wandering, adrift. The Ralts was being harassed by a group of Murkrow who were hunting the poor thing, and Alan intervened. He and his Pokemon chased the flock off, saving the small Ralts in the process. Aaron followed Alan for a time, grateful to the kind trainer, before becoming a part of Alan's team himself. During their constant battles and travels together, Aaron became a staunchly loyal follower of Alan, and a good friend.

Finally got my sheet thought out, I think it's up to standard

Name: Vickie Kessan

Age: 19

Gender: Female

City/Region: Hoenn Region originally, moved around alot as a child

Appearance: Vickie sports a very athletic and lithe build, solidly defined muscle and enough curves in the right places for people to know that she is a....well, she. However, other than that, she could easily be mistaken for a man, standing at 5'10" and around a 130 lbs., her skin is naturally tanned and shows a handful of minor scars, the most "major" of them being a jagged patch of white on the back of her left hand. Meanwhile, her hair, a natural bright red, contrasts with her dark blue eyes.

Her clothing consists of her father's Ranger vest, with a handful of patches, all worn and obviously out of date, and her four badges, Stone and Knuckle from Hoenn Region, Zephyr from Johto, and the Boulder from Kanto. Beneath that, she wears form-fitted athletic wear, with cloth wraps around midway up her arms.

Personality: Vickie, in a word, is a tomboy of the farthest extreme, not really all that interested in romance, appearances, or even all that interested in hygiene and personal decorum, a side effect of living on the road and wilderness before, during, and after her formative years. That's not to say she's a complete barbarian, just less worried about having dirt under her fingernails as being able to keep up with her pokemon, who she considers the only family she has anymore.

For herself, she's turned being physically fit almost into a religion, never refusing a challenge to test her limits and continually seeking to improve herself through said challenges, which is the same way she trains her pokemon, continually finding new challenges they all face together, a racing hike here, a timed mountain climb there, it all adds up in her opinion to creating a stronger character.

As far as other people go, while she knows how strong she is, she is still somewhat insecure, as while she's always seeking new challenges, she is also forever seeking new rivals, and while she feels a great elation when she outperforms them in some subconscious preconceived way, it also brings a great depression, since she also has to find someone else that she considers her equal or better. Continual improvement and a strict regimen are two of the things that keep her sane, and she fears for the day she loses one or both of them.

Biography: Vickie was born Victory, but has come to prefer just a simple Vic, Vickie at the most. Her father was a Pokemon Ranger who constantly moved around for his job and her mother just a Pokemart clerk. She didn't know much about her father until one day she came home and her mother was just...gone, no note, no reasons given, just no longer there. Her father opted to begin taking her along for his work and that was where she was raised, on the road and among wild pokemon. It wasn't until she was into her rebellious years that she began to know what he did for his job, more than just a simple Area Ranger, instead being a member of the International Police, keeping track of the movements of various criminal organizations, their smuggling operations, as well as the general disposition of the area.

As a child, growing up among Pokemon and the elements, grew a second skin of sorts rather quickly, favoring the outdoors and attempted to bond with various Pokemon they encountered, petting a Ponyta, watching wild Kangaskhan, and her favorite, feeling the rumble of the ground as a group of Tyranitar and their offspring passed. Unfortunately, she didn't get her first pokemon until she was 16, and even then, she didn't exactly receive it. A lone Tyrogue in the playground/open gym(not League related) of Celadon City in the Kanto Region saw her and her already impressive fitness and training schedule, that it felt it had found a new opponent, and so the short rivalry began. With Vickie losing the first fight, she came back and challenged the Tyrogue the next day, finding herself victorious and so it went, back and forth, for nearly a week, until she and her father were forced to leave again, having finished whatever it was he had gone to Celadon to do. Confiding in the Tyrogue, feeling that he was one of the few "friends" she'd run into and the longest relationship she'd had since leaving Rustboro with her father. With teared eyes, Vickie and her father left, but not before the Tyrogue caught up to them at the city limits, and kept following her ever since, even going so far as to evolve into Hitmontop through their mutual love of continuous improvement.

A few months after Vickie, her Tyrogue, and her father left Celadon, she first saw her father in action, a Pokemon trainer of some skill himself, he was forced to do more than simply sit and watch for his job, as a Team Rocket fragment attempted to rob a Daycare, he leapt into action. Arresting both, he confiscated their stolen pokemon, and took them to the nearest IP Headquarters, getting the stolen pokemon back to their trainers, all except for one, a Vulpix that would've spent the remainder of its days within the pokeball it had been kept in, a very beautiful and intricately designed pokeball, but a pokeball none the less. Instead deciding to adopt it himself, he thought his daughter needed a bit of femininity, and a female Vulpix, perhaps evolving into a Ninetails one day would inspire her to do more than simply training herself and her new Tyrogue. Unfortunately, it didn't work out quite the way he thought, and Vickie made the Vulpix, now named Foxie, into a little terror in her own right.

Nearly a year after Vickie and her two pokemon were introduced and began a heavy training regimen, Her father took ill, and soon was forced to be hospitalized, having collapsed on the road, she and Tyrogue carried him back to Rustboro of all places, having come nearly full circle in her life already, ending up in the same place they'd left together nearly a decade earlier. Vickie's father died almost exactly three days later, rain and thunder outside, and with little to go on exactly what it was he had, the doctor's assuming it to be something he'd contracted or a genetic condition perhaps, there were no real answers, just her father's last words being sorry about missing her birthday, but he'd had something special planned for her 18th, and to go to the Daycare in Kanto he'd liberated, he'd paid for an egg to be nurtured to hatching, and the estimated date to be relatively soon.

Having finished with her father's remains, and the "Rangers" taking his personal effects, excepting his vest, and a picture of her mother, father, and herself when she was very young. Ripping her mother out of the picture and throwing it into the trash, she began her trek back to Kanto, the next few weeks traveling through the wilderness and continuing her training, not completely conscious from her grief, but wanting whatever it was her father had planned but hadn't been able to give her. Arriving, she was present to watch the egg hatch, and even though she was still depressed, watched as a Sandile emerged from the pieces of shell, and feeling the urge to reach out and touch her father's last gift to her, extended her hand. The Sandile promptly clamped down on the top of her hand, eliciting a cry of pain before hugging the small, but heavy, creature to her chest.

It wasn't until months after she had begun her own version of the Pokemon League that she ran into her Croagunk however, again in the wilderness and training, racing her recently evolved Hitmontop across a small course they'd found that covered many terrain types. Unfortunately for the poor Pokemon, it happened to be crossing at the time they rounded a corner and feeling threatened, launched into them, knocking them both to the sides and jabbing both of them with a small paralyzing agent before climbing a nearby tree and watching them come to many minutes later. In typical Vickie fashion, she felt the need to challenge and capture the Croagunk, since there were few that got the drop on her so easily. In short, this Croagunk is her only "traditionally" obtained pokemon, and although she somewhat resents Vickie for scaring her half to death, she acknowledges that getting stronger is a pursuit worth the time invested.

Hitmontop -
lvl. 30
Ability: Technician

Male
Moves:
Counter
Rapid Spin
Triple Kick
Quick Attack
Strength
Focus Energy

Vic's first pokemon, and one that completely shares her view, in that any challenge placed in front of it, must be at the very least, be attempted, if not won outright. That's not to say Hitmontop doesn't have a less serious streak, but his mind is almost completely focused on improving himself and the rest is often overshadowed due to his near single-mindedness.

Vulpix - "Foxy"
Ability:Flash Fire

lvl.28
Female
Moves:
Hex
Will-o-Wisp
Flame Burst
Feint Attack
Confuse Ray
Fire Spin

The most mischievous of the four, Foxy is a prankster and very much not interested in the training Vic and Hitmontop dedicate themselves to, much happier simply sitting in a basket curled up and having each of her tails brushed.

Sandile - "Sandie"
lvl.24
Ability: Moxie

Male
Moves:
Bite
Sand Attack
Torment
Sand Tomb
Embargo
Mud-Slap

The "baby" of the group and the most inspired of the four, Sandie tries to emulate Hitmontop's dedication to training, but can't compete due to his inexerience, but he tries the hardest out of everyone to do anything. However, he hasn't been allowed to battle as often as he so wants to, due to him being relegated to the position of Vickie's bedtime snuggle more often than not.

Croagunk
Ability: Anticipation

lvl.24
Female
Moves:
Swagger
Revenge
Poison Sting
Feint Attack
Astonish
Mud-Slap

In short, the mother, always encouraging Sandie to keep trying to make Vic see him as more than just "Daddy's birthday present", while also training with Hitmontop and Vickie to improve her own abilities and limitations.

Name: Cameron Grey

Age: 21

Gender: Male

City/Region: Canalave City/ Sinnoh

Appearance:

Cameron dresses in a respectable looking suit, switching out the dinner jacket for a long, dark violet coat; which is worn on top of a white shirt and black tie. For footwear, he has two pairs of boots, one for general walking, and the other made to go over more difficult terrain. Known to wear a black trilby when Kitsune hasn't pinched it in a bout of mischief making. Being from a more colder climate, he has a lighter skin tone which compliments his neatly cut slate grey hair worn in a singular ponytail tied with a amber coloured ribbon. He also has emerald green eyes.

Personality:

Coming from a successful business background, Cameron is the sort of person who will think through a problem first then proceed to carry out the plan thoroughly, marking him as a somewhat diligent individual. Such traits carry over into battling where he'll resort to tactics and clever thinking to achieve success.

He enjoys any sort of battle, against other trainers in particular, citing it as an enjoyable and valuable learning experience regardless if he wins or loses. His time out in the world has opened him to new cultures as it were, and is respectful of others wherever he may be; though the way in which he speaks may spark some annoyance from his peers as him acting in an overbearing manner, though it isn't intentional. He treats his team of Pokemon as both friends and comrades, though Kitsune does cause mischief for the team every now and then, which means Cameron has to be a little firm but fair with her.

Born as the eldest child in a family that has become successful in the business of ocean going trade that has helped improve Canalave City for several generations now, Cameron Grey would want for nothing. Throughout his childhood and into his early teens, the family, consisting of his parents, himself, and his younger sister Amelia would often spend the Summer in the Hoenn Region due to the warmer climate, and would often stay with Cameron's uncle Juan, the Gym Leader of Sootopolis City. It was during these months that Cameron would be inspired to become a Pokemon Trainer.

Whilst he wasn't old enough to start his own journey, his father, when not handling important business deals, would teach Cameron how to handle and take care of Pokemon, using his Torterra and Houndoom as practice. It was during this that he came to understand how Pokemon reacted to their trainers. He also spent time reading up on Pokemon lore, discovering that there were literally hundreds of different types, each with a wide range of abilities and moves to learn.

Eventually, on his 18th Birthday, Cameron decided that he start his own path to being a Pokemon Trainer, and so went to Sandgem Town to choose his Starter Pokemon. All three of them, Piplup, Turtwig and Chimchar looked appealing, but he eventually chose Piplup, finding the little Penguin Pokemon to be rather cute looking.

Initially the two didn't get on well, mostly out of Piplup's own sense of self-pride, but the two eventually became friends, with Cervantes having mellowed out a little, and have been ever since, even when he evolved into Prinplup. Over the next three years, Cameron traveled the world, seeking Pokemon to create a balanced team that could tackle many situations.

It was during a stop over in Castelia City in the Unova Region about a year ago, when Cameron and the team heard stories from the locals about a mysterious figure causing havoc and all sorts of mischief. Not the sort of person to pass up an opportunity to solve a mystery, Cameron got to work on getting to the bottom of this caper.

Asking around, he was given descriptions of different looking people each time, but they shared a characteristic of having a grey coloured tail. This made things confusing, but Cameron eventually realised that it must be the work of a Pokemon with the ability to change shape, so he hatched a plan, with him as the bait. Whilst it worked on drawing out the suspect, a wild Zorua, it also worked in drawing out a gang of hoodlums who wanted the Tricky Fox Pokemon for their own use.

Despite it's mischievous misdemeanor and the way it had been behaving up until now, it was actually scared of these men. And so Cameron took a stand and challenged the hoodlums to a Pokemon Battle, which was a victory despite the odds stacked against him numerically. He offered to take the Zorua to a Pokemon Center to get looked over in case it had been injured. Cameron waited for a diagnosis from the resident Nurse Joy, and found that the Zorua was in healthy condition, it also appeared with a Great Ball beside it, having carefully pinched one of Cameron's somehow, wanting to travel with him. After some deliberation with his team, Cameron welcome the little fox on-board, naming it Kitsune due to it being mischievous.

Whilst travelling in and around the Johto Region, the team heard about the All Region Tournament being held in Goldenrod City. More interested in the opportunity to meet loads of different kinds trainers and their Pokemon all in one place than the actual prize money, they headed towards the bright lights of the city.

Prinplup, the Penguin Pokemon and the evolved form of Piplup. This Pokemon was Cameron's Starter back at the beginning of his journey when it was a Piplup. It is often seen by the team as the second-in-command after Cameron and takes battling seriously. Whilst originally a singular Pokemon and preferred to do things by itself, it since has been more use to Double Battles, often being paired with Rosita.

Moves:
- Thunderbolt (TM Move)

Luxio, the Spark Pokemon and the evolved form of Shinx. This was Cameron's second Pokemon after Piplup and began as a Shinx, it was caught at the Valley Windworks in the Sinnoh Region after a long fought battle which almost ended in a tie. A rather brave Pokemon it can be seen standing up to those who are bigger than him.

Rosita, Level 25 Roserade, Female

Moves:
- Giga Drain
- Grass Whistle
- Stun Spore

- Energy Ball (TM Move)

Roserade, the Bouquet Pokemon and the evolved form of Roselia, who is in turn the evolved form of Budew. Captured as a Roselia when travelling the Hoenn region, it is a kind and gentle Pokemon with a thorny side when it comes to battling, given how it has many abilities that can inflict various status effects. Having only evolved a few months ago, it is somehow a little taller than some other Roserade's that they have encountered.

Kitsune, Level 20 Zorua, Female

Ability: Illusion (Comes out disguised as the Pokemon in the party's last spot.)

Moves:
- Feint Attack
- Pursuit
- Leer
- Shadow Ball (TM Move)

Zorua, the Tricky Fox Pokemon. It is currently the youngest member of the team, and likes to cause mischief. Likes to play games with Cameron in the form of taking his trilby and disusing itself as a person or another Pokemon, wearing the Dark Glasses that Cameron gave her as part of the disguise. Whilst it can play the part it is imitating rather well, it hasn't fully learnt how to conceal it's tail yet.
