In need of a scary game.

Played it when it first came out, and besides "Would you kindly?" I wasn't particularly impressed. Combat and plasmids were fun, sure, but I never picked it up again. Never tried the second one.

If Bioshock 1 was a pretty fun game with a mildly interesting story to you, Bioshock 2 would've sent you into convulsions. Supreme let down.

Try Aliens Versus Predator 2 (actual name), 3 decent campaigns that all have it's scary bits but it's mostly for the Marine.

Hard to find though, not on Steam and other places.

Wasn't there a SNES version of that game? I believe I played it somewhere and that it was on Japanese and I did not quite get it but I think that may be the first version... huh.. according to wikipedia it does not exist but according to youtube it does...

I'm not entirely sure whether it's a SNES or NES version, but yes. It is the first one. The Playstation version subtitled The First Fear is a remake of that one. And there are versions of the original in English, that I'm sure of.

For some reason, I am in dire need of being frightened in a video game. Who can offer some suggestions? I have not tried Dead Space, mainly because the gameplay looks rather dull. This is also the reason I have not tried Metro 2033. Also void F.E.A.R. (Played them all) Doom (Same) and Amnesia.

OTP; Try any of Fatal Frame II, and Alan Wake if psychological horror is also your thing.
