Just for fun.

I always wanted to be like the kids in books or on TV, who pulled ingenious and meticulously planned pranks on people, went on adventures and solved mysteries, invented things, built elaborate traps or tree houses, made up games etc.

Is/was anyone actually like that IRL?

Any interesting stories to share? I wasn't like this, but I tried. I don't really have any amazing stories, but I did try to make a "spy club" with my friends when I was eight, making little business cards with our names on them. It was lame, we didn't actually do anything. Also, my friend and I used to take turns creating "missions" in his garage. We'd set up all the things to form obstacles you'd have to overcome to complete the mission.

Why do I invision this thread delving into murder, rape and suicide?

...
Anyway, my upperclassmen friends when I was a little freshman were so awesome; they'd do all sorts of fun things, like go on roofs, tie-dye the labcoats and turn the professors' offices into satanic shrines...

The only thing we have left now is 4:00 AM slurpee time. :(

Because you love those things so huggy-muggy-much?
I don't like rape! D:
I despise it with a passion!
Well, two out of three ain't bad.

Edit: Fuck it! I hate it all. Get rid of it. It's all rubbish. Burn everything, we'll start over.

I did construct quite a few traps when I was young on account of my fear of an alien invasion, My brother often fell for them which made them hilarious, but the real reward was having lived this long without an abduction. =]

I used to do these sorts of things as a child - I suppose it helped that I lived in the middle of nowhere and could play in the forests and dig pits and build treehouses to my heart's content. It makes a difference if you grew up in a city or in an area with strictly controlled private land all around.

My friends and I, under the influence of older siblings, used to do "Night Missions".

This was basically sneaking out after the parents were asleep, and going on urban reconaisance and capture missions. We would pick a neighbors house, climb the wall, climb their roof, spy on them and try not to get seen, maybe get to a certain point (then run away piss scared.)

By the time I got to about 14 I did this with another group of friends, only it was a little more extreme:

We climbed a school roof, smashed the skylights, secured a long sprinkler hose to a pipe on the roof and absailed into the school. On realising we couldn't climb back up the rope, we started breaking stuff (for some reason..) and then the police came!

We had set off the alarm, so we frantically pried open a side door, which took us to a closed off courtyard. We had to build a ladder out of crates to get out back onto the roof, and then jump down the other side (A good 3 metres). We escaped, and christ was it exhilarating. At this point we decided we were getting too old to get away with it.

Those were the fucking days!
