(In the UK) Why is Modern warfare 2 an 18?

Just be happy it has got classification.
If its 18 in the UK... it most likely will get either refused classification or "Dumbed down" in the Violence/graphical sense for an Australian audience for it to be classified as a 15+

I was having a quick browse along for the modern warfare 2 pre-order prices, and i found something odd. modern warfare 2 is an 18. i've got nothing against that, i asked about it a few weeks ago and got mixed answers. i'm just wondering why it's going to be an 18.

Gentlemen, it has not been rated by the BBFC yet (check their website). The 18 rating is what Infinity Ward expect (Alone in the Dark was the same at one point).
