Unfortunately are current computer technology is coming to and end. Computers have been getting exponentially more powerful due to are ability to make components smaller and smaller. The latest state of the art GPU's are at about 40 nm transistors. Current estimates say that within the next 50 or 60 years current computer manufacturing techniques will reach their limits. Computers will simply stop getting better. The current replacement to our computer system, the quantum computer, is still only able to add 2+2 and it takes a fair amount of time to do it.
