The world was bright and sunny, that day in July 23rd, 40000, Restilian year 6000. The air was fresh, as it always is, untainted by the harshness of mass warfare, that had been forgotten on Earth. Years and Years after that day the humans first arrived on Restil, the planet barely seems to have changed, other than the addition of human settlement. Yes, the dreams the humans of Earth once had, for the harmonious coexitance between man and nature, had been fulfilled on another planet. And today was merely another peaceful day on Restil. Almost everywhere, the skies were mostly clear and blue, the world was bright, and the seasons of Summer and Winter had come peacefully. This was Restil. And this is where the fate of countless planes of existence will be decided, by a few choice individuals. They seemed to be normal people, normal by Restilian standard at least, which were much more accepting than on Earth. Today was another day for them. And they are free to decide for themselves. The story of Magic and the altering of Destiny on Restil begins now.

Luke smiled madly as he punched the face of a young man, causing the man to stagger backwards into a wall. Luke grabbed him by the collar and raised the man above himself, dragging him on the wall. The man had a look of fear in his eyes as he stared into Luke's, pleading for mercy without words. "Pathetic little worm..." Luke threw the man to his right and began walking towards him slowly. The man was on his back, staring up at Luke as he was hit with a powerful kick to the jaw, knocking him out. Luke crouched down beside him. "I thought the people here were supposed to be strong, how disappointing." He placed his hand on the mans mouth and sent a ball of dark magic down him, killing him from the inside. The man's body squirmed as he was slowly drained of life. Luke stood up and spat on him before sending a firebolt at the body to burn it to ash. He then walked out of the alleyway and into the street, staring up at the sky. "Someone out there must be able to give me at least a small challenge..."

Sylvin brought the hammer down once again on the enchanted steel infront of him. The hammer hit the red hot metal with a satisfying clang that resonated around the block. He was making a sword for the mayors son, special order. Sylvin put the last smash into the blade and looked it over. 10 pounds of perfectly balanced steel He thought as he started working on the two cutting edges of the sword. As he finished the first edge of the blade the bell at the door of the shop rang. Sylvin placed the sword back on the sharpening table and went to the desk at the front of the sharp. "Hello Sylvin I came to pick up the dagger you were repairing for me" Said the man. "May I see your forge receipt?" Sylvin said as the man gave him the small slip of paper. Sylvin skimmed the paper and went to the back of the shop for a moment. He came back with the man's dagger and put it on the table. After the man inspected the dagger he gave the appropriate amount of cyte to Sylvin. "Thank you come again!" Sylvin called after the man as he began laboring on the sword again. Sylvin gave a sigh of relief a few hours later when he finished the edged and point on the sword. He summoned up some energy and ran it across the blade, giving it more durability. Sylvin put the sword in the wooden sheath the mayor wanted the sword to be fitted to. One day from now was his birthday.

Durm made his way into the street. His robe swayed in the winter breeze as it settled in from the pier.
"Hey there Durm, you're right on time"

A man with a hat came down from one of the ships. Behind him were men loading the ship's cargo hold and preparing the mast and sails.
"Evening Boatsman, I..."

The Boatsman patted Durm on the shoulder and gave him a reassuring smile and waved his hand toward the ship.
"Don't worry my friend! I have gone to the city a thousands times, there's nothing to be scared of."

"It's just.... Diving. Boats are bad as it is!"

"I know. I know. At first it was kind of frightening of course, but you get used to it. It's just a bit of magic! Surely nothing you are unfamiliar with"
The Boatsman gave a dry laugh as he coughed a little and walked up the loading plank.
"Just give it some time. Anyway... your things have been settled in your cabin and your books are in the hold. I will talk to you later! Start by settling in so I can go back to work, eh?"

Durm rolled his eyes and withdrew a small portrait of his daughter.
"For you, father. Always you"
Was signed at the back of the portrait.
"Oh, Albia. I do hope you are okay.."

His thoughts were abruptly halted as the piercing wind cut his face and he set off to his cabin.
This trip was going to be long...

Harmut sighed as he looked up the hill he was on. It had been a long day of traveling, and he felt pretty tired to say the least. If his information was correct, there would be a town at the bottom of this hill, but if it was wrong, it was going to be a long journey back. He clinked his staff against his breastplate as he walked forward, humming a dark tune to himself as he made it to the top, and looked down at the valley. Sure enough, there was the town, in all of its restful goodness. He smiled as he took the steep path down, and hurried to the town.

There was a small fence surrounding the town, and an open gate nearby so Harmut walked in casually, looking around for new things. He walked down the street still humming a unnverving tune, until he came upon a tailor, with some interesting designs for clothes. He walked inside and took a look around, searching for a pair of gloves, as his were worn out from the many months of travelling. He slipped off his old pair and threw them into his bag, and picked up a pair of thick leather ones, admiring them and slipping them on quietly. He dug down into his bag and slammed some money on the counter, probably overpaying for them, but as long as he didn't have to waste his breath he was fine.

Harmut walked down the street further, as he came upon an inn in the town, He was weary so he decided to rent a room for the night. He walked up to the lady in the front and put some money on the counter, and with a crooked smile followed her to his room for the night. He settled in quickly, throwing his bag on the floor and removing his armor, as he let it fall with a clatter to the floor. He took a book from his bag and sat on the bed, flipping through the pages of it, admiring the words on the pages ever so carefully. He then laid back, put the book on the floor, and fell asleep, wearing nothing more than a cloth tunic and his leather gloves.

She took her left hand a gently placed against her hair, keeping if from blowing in her eyes as the wind blew strong against her back. The tassels and trinkets on her attire made soft clings, barely even audible over the raging gusts. In her right hand hung the silver thread reins she had hand-sew back when she was training for the Elite Skyguards. Starring out into the endless sea of air, she stood deep in thought. Taking in a deep breathe she pivoted and flung a bolt of magic onto a moderate sized summoning circle carved in the ground behind her. The circle glowed intensely, erupting in a ball of burning light.

With a brisk stroke of his wings, Kousen emerged from the ball of light dispersing it like smoke. His form was like a seahorse; without legs or arms and a long, sleek body ending in a coiled tail. He floated gently above the surface without a flap, defying the laws of physics. Bending his elongated neck, he maneuvered his featureless head in front of Kimiko as if to acknowledge her presence since he had no eyes, ears, mouth, or the like. Kimiko stepped closer to his side running her hand along his smooth yet thick hide. Its color was pale and of hues unnatural to this world, painful for one to attempt to comprehend. He reacted as if in pleasure from her soft touch, evident by him unraveling his tail full extend and outstretching his wings. His size and length were obvious at sight now, measuring him an impressive stretch of several grown men. Revealed now, his tail formed a luminescent blade down the entire length. Although metallic in property, it shared the qualities of flesh, only sharp to those Kousen wished harm to. Also awing was his wingspan, equal to his length. Although obviously wings, they were alien and unlike that of any birds. There was no evidence of bone or feathers, only hide shaped in cryptic, impractical patterns. As he regained his composure he lowered his center, making it easy for Kimiko to mount. She strapped the reins to his head and straddled the base of his neck and told hold.

Without even a command, Kousen bolted strait up with acceleration unmatched by any creature of the sky, faster than most eyes could track. Kimiko could barely hold on from the burst of speed, much less catch her breathe. Continuing higher and higher, she pulled back on his reins. He responded, arching his back and folding his wings around his center sending them into a free fall. Diving down with even more speed than at take-off they zipped past the edge of the city falling far beneath it. Kimiko could feel herself getting light headed. She gave a strong kick to his sides with both her heels. As if he was anticipating her command, both wings exploded stopping them mid-air in a split of a second. With one powerful flap, Kousen took off towards the horizon with the same passion as their launch. Kimiko began to compensate for his speed and acceleration and gave slack to the reins, giving Kousen control. Eagerly he started performing impossible turns and flips effortlessly. Kimiko concentrated on matching his movements and staying saddled to him. Enjoying his playtime in the sun, he began to get overexcited. His maneuvers were getting more daring and even dangerous for his rider. In a blink of white light, he vanished. Kimiko's heart raced as she started falling again, but Kousen had done this many times. She held her hands out towards the distant ground. As abrupt as his disappearance, Kousen blinked back into existence mid-flip catching Kimiko on his neck.

Kimiko quickly grabbed the reins again and pulled tight regaining control of him. He calmed and the two leisurely glided out towards the city again. "That's enough fun for today Kousen. We'll practice combat tomorrow with the others." she assured him. As if he had said something, she responded "I'm glad you had fun, and as always your moves were perfectly executed. I promise I'll be able to keep up with you one day Kousen." The two remained silent as they made their way back.

I've been trying to come up with things for all of you. Sorry about the wait.

Near Luke's location, a young, muscular man caught interest in his abilities, ignoring the fact that he had just killed a man in cold blood and called him over to him. "Hey. Guy. I need to ask you something."

All of a sudden, someone opened the door to Sylvin's smithy. He was heavily robed and the only part of his face that was visible as his mouth, showing that his skin was dathly pale and he looked like he hadn't eaten in a while. He walked up to Sylvin, slowly and then abruptly stopped.

After about a day on the water, an ominous storm began to approach Durm's ship. It gave off a weird aura, an unnatural aura. It was quickly getting closer.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Nothing happened to Harmut that night.

As Kimiko made her way back, although she was silent, she was hit from behind and her wallet was stolen. The theif began running away as fast as he could.

Luke walked over to the muscular man carrying an aura of fear with him. "Yes? What is it, do you have a job for me?" He clenched his fists. "Or are you looking for me for another reason...?"

Sorry, I kind of forget that this existed.

The running thief would probably be surprised though as a sudden rush of air slammed down against the city street. Two seconds later another blast hit as the source could now be seen; a large white Pegasus descended almost regally blasting the ground with easy beats of it's huge feathered wings.

Landing in the street just ahead of the thief the creature almost took up the entire width with it's wingspan. It's attention was totally focused on the figure, it's ears swept forward and rigid.

Ken Talow also watched the thief with one of his lances held easily in his right hand and leveled. He had been out just watching the city when he had seen the theft occur and decided to intervene not knowing who was involved.

"I suggest you give yourself up citizen. Perhaps the law will be lenient." He said trying a touch to deepen his voice and sound a bit older. It didn't work. "I don't think you could outrun Zhěn Xiù here anyways." He said as the Pegasus took a single step and shifted it's weight a bit under him.

Seeing past the thief Ken saw Kimiko. Ken was still just new to the Skyguards and the two hadn't been introduced yet, but he had seen her across a room at some point and she had quite a memorable appearance. "Oh, hello there." He said with a touch of happy surprise.

The man scoffed a bit at Luke's over-confidence. "I have a job for you, and you look pretty capable to me." She pulled out a large bag of money from behind his back and shook it. "I can pay you well. Want to hear it?"

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

The man in Sylvin's shop did not speak, but merely layed his hand on Sylvin's table and left a note there, turning around and leaving right after he did, without another word.

The thief trembled in fear at the amazin creature in front of him and dropped Kimiko's bag, immediatly scrambling off, screaming.

"Go on and make it quick, I don't like standing around." Luke said, uncaring what the job was. Well, he wanted it to involve killing things but that was about it. "Whatever it is I'll handle it with ease, Dragons have fallen to this blade."

Harmut awoke the next morning, feeling at least a hundred times better than he did the day before. He sat up in his bed and scratched his side, then grabbing his head and jerking it in a awkward way, his neck cracking loudly, as he repeated for the other side of his neck. He reached down and grabbed his book, reading a few pages before packing it in his bag, safe from damage. He set the bag on the bed, grabbing his robe and slipping it on, and fastening it. He then found his way into his heavy chestplate, working it around until it fit like it normally did. He picked his bag up and slung it over his shoulder, grabbed his staff from the wall, and casually strode out of the room, and into the hall. He walked into the lobby, and with a quick wave to the lady he exited the building, and found himself on the street.
Harmut started humming that same unnerving tune as he walked down the street, getting a few odd glances his way as he did. He didn't mind the attention, he would probably never see these people again anyhow. He strode by a vendor, stopping momentarily to stare at some exotic fruit, before shaking his head and continuing on his walk. He didn't have a destination, nothing seemed to matter at the moment, and that bothered him. Harmut took a seat on the street side, and began to think over what he should do.

The man looked to his left and right, as if he was makin sure nobody suspicious was around. Then he leaned in and spoke at a whisper. "There's an Island on the southern hemisphere of this planet that has temple on it, with a magnificent treasure in it. I don't know what it is or where the treasure is, but, if you go down there and get me this treasure..." He jingled the large sack of money. "I promise you, you will get more than just one bag of gold. And, if your the sadistic type, I've heard the place is guarded by either human or monster, I'm not sure. You up to it?"

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Hello, Sylvin. I'm not going to reveal my name, but only my request. There's a blade I would like you to forge, it's extremly difficult to make but I am sure you can handle it. We need you to form an exact replica of the Zulfigar blade. But the blade itself has to be made of pure gold. I won't explain my reasons just yet. When it's done, meet me outside the city at the north exit. I'll wait there everyday from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. I can pay you handsomely for your work." The letter said.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Suddenly, a young boy, who looked like he was in a hurry, wearing tattered, ragged clothes ran by and crashed into Harmut, falling over. "A-Ah! I'm sorry sir!"

It was rare for the sea to be so calm, there were no waves this morning, just smooth water stretching off to the western horizon, Lupus stared out from his place under a tree, lying against its trunk on his travel cloak with a relaxed look on his face, you'd never see such a thing living in cities, even in Kiska, which had it's charms for anyone who noticed them, you wouldn't see anything quite like this, natural beauty at its finest, but it wouldn't last all day.

Lupus stood up, retrieved his cloak and dusted it off before putting it on, making sure his sword was still fastened to his belt in the process, then he reached for a rucksack which was obviously too large for any man of his size to carry naturally, he seemed to pause for a few minutes, a glow radiated from beneath him where a complex glyph composed of a faint light had appeared, it lingered for a few moments and then the glyph flashed brightly before vanishing, leaving the glow to radiate from Lupus himself, then, using both hands he slung the rucksack onto his back with ease and set off at what would seem like a sprint in terms of speed, but was actually more of a slow jog for Lupus, his skill was in enhancement magic, and he had just given himself a boost in strength and so with each step he kicked off hard leaving deep footprints which were few and far between.

Lupus headed east toward Kiska, he'd had a job and now needed to finish it off, preferably before the Dragons came around to the western coast in search of prey, which was usually around midday so he had plenty of time to get back.

Happy New Year guys, sorry about the late intro, had lots of stuff to do and between christmas, a birthday and friends i didn't have the time to type up a post, anyway, on with the RP! =)

"The Zulfigar what a magnificent job" Sylvin said as he grabbed his large supply of gold bars and started to melt them down. He started working with the soft metal and slowly shaped it into a blade he placed the golden blade into a well fitting sheath to stop it from being damaged. He then put it on a fine oak handle wrapped with leather. He looked it over and locked the door to his shop. He walked upstairs and went to sleep.

"Where are you off to in such a hurry, young man?" Harmut asked as he stood up, picking the boy up off the ground and dusting him off."Not stealing anything I hope?" He said with a low chuckle as he took a quick glance at the boys clothes, he looked like a ragamuffin to him. He held on to the boy, looking at him sternly, if he told the truth he would help him, if not, he would see what would happen...

Sylvin awoke and grabbed the golden blade. He carefully put it in a silver gilded sword case and walked it to the gate where he held it and looked around.
