Cod 4 on veteran.

The level that you play as Price, when you shoot Zakhaev's arm off... it was the whole bloody Ultranationalist army vs. me and my AK47. Where the bloody hell do they all come from, when you're trying to hold out at the end? And why wouldn't they make one coordinated attack?

Aaaargh!

The Dark Realm (or Phantom Realm) in Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams. 100 floors without saving, and if you decide to leave then you can do it all over. The last 30 floors barely gave you room to move.

Massive hordes are not always a bad thing, however. In Resident Evil 4, they pit you against around 20 Ganados at the same time at one point, but it was fun. The times when it's not fun are like in one of the levels in Ratchet and Clank where you just mash X until everything in the room dies. Don't get me wrong, I love R&C, but that part was just boring. What about your experiences?
Halo 1
Halo 2

and I'm sure Halo 3 but I never played it because Halo 2 was epic failure (in my personal opinion).

Halo 3 the level where you're inside Gravemind and there's about eighty-thousand flood every two feet! (The big ones mind you, not the stupid little balloon-looking ones) And those ones that cling to the wall and shoot at you are a PAIN IN THE ASS!!!
Yeah looks like they never stopped running with what brought their franchise down in quality.

Had they nuked the flood concept the series would have been so much better.

It's extremely stupid on Call of Duty because if you were immortal you could kill the enemies from now until the end of time and they would keep coming.

The never ending flying medusa heads in the first Castlevania on the second stage. They like to fly in right at the wrong moment.
There's also a couple enemies in Dragon Quest IV that will call in an endless wave of enemies. As soon as one dies they call in another. It's really annoying.

God of War in pandora's temple right before you go in and get the box when you have to kill 50 undead archers and over 9000 harpies on conveyor belts that go into crushers and the only solid ground has instant death fire traps

Oh lord, I hate the neverending stream of enemies, because it's usually preceded by the thought "Hmm the computer hasn't attacked me yet, I wonder why...maybe it's glitching out"

Closely followed by "We're under attack!" and then a scroll over to the spot only to find it become a writhing mass of enemy units that the computer's been saving up.

Left 4 Dead can be a ***** about it, sometimes. For instance, when you've just been through a Tank battle, two teammates dead, and you have no health left. The AI Director loves to screw you over in that case.

Also in this game (haven't played it in a while) there's a part where you gotta kill enemies before a spike wall or something kills you, I remember it to be very frustrating.

I like a lot of enemies to stamp on, like spartan total warrior :D
I loved that game but the disc broke.
I also love the RTS hordes, especially against a hard computer controlled enemy because usually I'm the horde, death destruction fire my work is done.

This and only this.

All other slaughterfests are some of the best fun I can have in games.

He's not alone I hate that Fucking level. It maybe fake but you have no idea when you have the sound cranked. The level in W@W when you are trying to get to Nazi capitol building is another one as well.

Dawn of War is guilty of this crime. Having 50 Shoota Boyz killing my Bonesingers is not fun.

High Charity in Halo 3.

I'm sure anyone else that has played that level will agree. There are so many flood constantly respawning. It's impossible to plan out any sort of strategy on that level, because there are so many flood that can attack you from so many different directions. You're only hope is to blindly run through the hordes blowing whatever gets in your way to bits. And since this is your only strategy, Legendary on this level is a complete *****.

I can't believe Bungie even allowed that level to be in the fucking game.
