I am at this moment a very angry man. Not at a person, or at a persons actions but because my till tray has decided to break and is making me super angry. I have tried slamming it (which might have made it worse), swearing at it (to little effect) and tried using a whole host of devices to fix the demon drawer. Whilst trying this I have missed a couple of minor work deadlines and not really acheived a lot so, my question to you is what have inanimate objects done to you recently which has made you lose your cool and how have you tried to halt their evil advances?

If it makes you smile, when I once worked at a local music shop near me with my best mate, I once was serving this big biker dude and it was all going really swimmingly (we found a nice acoustic guitar for his daughter) until I slammed both thumbs into the till.

Yep. Jammed, and stuck.
The guy looked at me as my eyes filled up and he said "Y'alright?" and after a quick shake of the head he had to go get someone. He got my best friend, who literally took one look and burst out laughing. Bastard.

We managed to get them out, although we had to push the draw itself in by about 2mm to uncatch the clasp thing. so they came out in in one big bloody, bruised mess. I was in that accident report book more times than I had school dinners.

Anyway, I get mad at inanimate objects all the time. Especially if I am a little drunk too... then everything becomes an enemy of Em haha

I have been viciously assaulted by a multitude of inanimate objects, from doors, doorframes, the ceiling, the floor, a desk, a bed, chairs, sofas, a magazine stand, a coat rack, a swing, a parked car and a bench.

I don't consider myself clumsy, just spatially challenged. I always seem to end up in the same space as something else, and it usually comes off better than me in this brief battle of wills.

I stub my toes a lot. Does that count? Haha I normally try not to cuss too much but it makes me scream obscenities that echo through the night. I'm normally not too good at cussing either, but when I need to, I can string 'em together like no other. Sounds kinda like an old-fashion auctioneer haha

And, uh, I hate it when two pieces of paper stick together. And when rings get stuck on my fingers. And standing up under something that's too small and hitting my head

I remember when i got assault by a piece of cake.. I went to the fridge tried to take it out. Smeared some cream on the side so while holding the cake i went to get something to clean up. Whoops it fell over in there, tried to pick it up while cleaing and the glass which it was stanidng on fell down on my foot. I ran out to wash my hands tripped along the way and, you wont believe this. Got the cake in my face.

I hate that cake.

The bloody mop trolley with a stiff wheel so it always steers to the right and can never go straight. Also a big problem with vacuum cleaners
